How to Adjust Torsion Bar Suspension. THE WORST SUSPENSION VEHICLE.

- This is one of the WORST SUSPENSION TYPE for vehicles. A torsion bar suspension is very fatiguing on ride comfort, when compared to coil spring type suspension vehicle of the same size and weight. The Nissan frontier D22 is a very harsh ride for a off-road SUV. We do not recommend the Nissan frontier D22 or D21 or any torsion bar suspension vehicle has a daily driving.

what is the stock right height or your d22 ride height from floor to fender FRONT.?
You didn't mention the cumber and steering position before you fix the tire.

is it fine if the adjuster arent align with each other? i had to adjust the driver side all the way just to match height with the passenger side
Both side should be of equal tension and adjustment. You might have to remove one side of the torsion bar and reinstall it to equal the other side tension and adjustment. If the two sides have different adjustments to keep the front of the vehicle level, it will result in different effect of the suspension when the vehicle is driven around left and right turns plus the feeling of bumps and potholes in the roadway pavement. .
@@SteveXNYC do i need to do the reindex to the torsion bar if my control arm is touching the bump stop?
@hmongboy9161 oh yes. With the vehicle ride high at its maximum lift, the bump stop should not be touching the control arm and with the vehicle at its lowest ride height the control arm should not be touching the bump stop. You should notice a difference in distance between the control arm and the bump stop at either ride height of low or high. The vehicle control arm should never be touching the bump stop at any ride height.
