I joined a couple of months ago in the middle of the Kara no Kyoukai rerun event. I used my Gapples to try and get Ryougi Shiki to NP5, only got NP3 T.T

My people!! I have a really bad luck when it comes getting good Rider class servants in my Chaldea. I was thinking of trying the GSSR this Anniversary for a good SSR but then I realize oh right Ryouma was going to be released on this year's Gudaguda. So I might consider the Extra Class GSSR but who knows.
I find his NP funny, he unleashes his sword and transforms his wife into a dragon and I thought they would unleash a combo together, but nope, only the dragon attacks while he just surfs and flexes his sword.
They do their tandem attack in their extra card, it's pretty cool too
In his defense, Ryouma was not known for his swordmanship

Where you are required to ascend,bond,put him in your party for some missions.

Me: cries for not getting kintoki rider because I joined the game last September.
Also me: laughs because everyone on my team are arts servant.
Ive been playing since august 2019 and most of my servants are tanks, my 3 ssr are void shiki, kiara, and jack. Not to mention i dont have diverse servant classes since my srs are all sabers, i dont even have an archer
I just start at KnK event and most of my strongest servant are art too,really looking forward to have him joint my team ^^
I relate to this so much because I started playing the game last July 2019, missing Kintoki rider, yet my best servants happen to be arts focused too (Tamamo, CasGil, Hokusai).

Started at last December. So, I'm in the club. I'm glad I at least have Shiki. If I didn't get her, I would have zero DPS assassin.

Sounds like he's one of those servants that is easy to overlook until you actually use him.
He's the only other ST arts Rider aside from George, which effectively makes him the only ST Arts Rider in the game until Hachiman. That in itself is a dang strong point for him.
I wish DW would update AnneMary's servant sprite so that both of them can be on the field at the same time like RyomaOryou & a certain twins
I personally would like Anne and Mary switch attack patterns whether its A Q or B but hey thats just my opinion.

Honestly, I have a million Riders, but I'm going to 10/10/10 him and use him pretty often. I LOVE arts comps.
He's a pretty good example of a servant that doesn't look good on paper, but works out a lot better in practice.

Funny how in NA Ryou’s event was launched and in JP Utsumi Erice’s event is ending. The CE on 11:15, is the spear on Mount Tachachiho no Mine, is also the NP of Utsumi Erice ‘Amano-Sakahoko’ which sealed Oryu.
Thank god he's a welfare, I would whale just for his dragon waifu, and I need the SQ for Summer 3.
she's a serpant. she didn't become a dragon by her own choice cause she wanted to be with Ryouma and after he died she basically committed suicide or was it she took his corpse with her and disappeared from the world? in any case yeah she never made it to dragon class due to her own choice and fascination with ryouma.

Oryou-San is very good civ. Snek/dragon girls besto.
Freddy Gutierrez dragons and snakes are kinda sorta the same thing, especially in the east, where they tend to be more serpentine, if not actually just enormous snakes, like Nāgas or Asuras like Vrtra. Even the earliest western dragons were more snake-like, I believe-Python, Wyrms, Wyverns.
Kani Sharp no. Welfare’s are never (to my knowledge) available via Gatcha. But as this is the first year of the event you can just wait for the rerun next year.

Now that we have a "mats analysis section" in spotlights then how about also including a "grail potential section" too?
Ofc it's subjective. You can just talk in gameplay perspective. Like potential of a sr after becoming an ssr (2grails). Or potential increase of an 3* after becoming a sr and ssr respectively?
@@sudoo6987 Priorities for grailing:
1. Grail who you like (and use the most).
2. The lower the rarity the more the servant gets out of it.
3. Damag dealers generally benefit more than supports.
Rule of thumb: SRs hit mid-tier SSR stats at 90 and high tier at 100. Anything below that usually caps out with mid to high tier SR stats at 100. You can push them a tier or so higher with gold Fous.
Really, the only difference per servant is how much they are held back by their vanilla stat caps, and how high their base stats are (higher base atk means more atk per grail level). Not really necessary to go through it on a servant by servant basis imo. Especially considering that Oni mostly reviews gold servants who generally never "need" grails. Just grail whoever you want to compete with the big shots.
Those who grail for gameplay are doomed to fail at gameplay.

@@sudoo6987 I usually reserve my grails for the handful of 1-3 stars I use, since I like all my servants to have the gold border. This also included Mozart, which I admit I regret a little.

I want to give a quick shout out to Caster of Midrash with Ryouma as she can provide stars on demand with her party wide Arts Buster Buff and you can juggle her and Ryouma's Charisma so an attack buff is always active.

Yeeey! An A rating!!! It’s nice to see that someone really appreciates ryouma and oryou-san. The only other person that raved positively about them was rabbit from gamefaqs. His numbers are lackluster on paper but he truly is wonderful when you actually put him on the field
Yea I was actually pretty surprised when I was using him, his NP gain in particular is crazy good. Surprised he isn't used more often

I do enjoy using those two. My main issue with Ryoma has always been the low numbers on his skills; it's like they didn't want to make him too good. It's especially bad when you see how many materials he requires. But he is fun to use.
Any st arts servant with an art buff lasting 3 turns is always good.

As a player who started FGO in the post-Kintoki Rider Era (which pains me as someone who currently has Skadi and Kama), these two are much appreciated.
I missed the first run of this event through a combination of burnout and lack of story progress (I ended up not finishing Solomon for more than a year after I started), but now with a much stronger roster and renewed motivation I got it done. The Part 2 event boss fight against Avenger Yodo has convinced me of their efficacy (and the efficacy of Arts spamming).
Finally an Arts Rider which I lack in my Arts Teams (AOE or/ ST)per class except for Riders (though I have a Buster/Quick teams), Avengers (Jalter and Gorgon) and Rulers (though I have Jeanne)
Failed to NP5 Kintoki during the rerun last year (only NP1) as I was still fairly new to the game around that time and thus admittedly didn't really know what to focus on as far as shop purchases went, or let alone how to go about events properly (even failed to MLB golden sumo. Ouch, I know). But with Ryouma in our midst, I can now at least somewhat finally make up for that failure; plus that whole concept is cool as hell! Cannot wait to max ascend!

Well I guess since I started right after Rider Kintoki was gone I suppose Ryoma will have to do. Caster Gil and Tamamo are gonna benefit a lot from him. Typical of me to overlook Paracelsus and haven’t leveled him. I have Ivan but a ST that can get buffed unlike Ushi (for now until Skadi) I think he’ll get the job done. Great spotlight as always sir and I look forward to the newer servants that are fast approaching

I really like ishtar rider's support being not perfect but still a valid best choice when it all applies
(technically he has more charge+ than midrash and and more attack+ than helena, though, so it's not like it doesn't have a place)

Its good to invest on his atk up and np gain as a first if people plan to make him a support. For me I plan that cuz mostly Im going for Hijikata or First Hassan as my main dmg dealers on my setups. I mean it aint that bad to make him a support. 😊😊😊

Kintoki and ryoma's roles are similar but different ryoma while not particularly defensive himself, lends himself more towards longer battles due to his favored card type supporting that playstyle rather well as well as the long uptimes on his skills. Kintoki on the other hand has a great 3-4 turn burst and is very self sufficient, but he suffers from problems that are not unsimilar to ryoma's.
I was unlucky to not have started during Kintoki's event. At the time, I was just a beginner and I wasn't looking to take the game seriously. Until now, I've mostly used Zerks and Riders from my support list fight Casters so I'm glad I can guarantee a strong Rider. I have Merlin but I can't reach max damage potential if I'll be borrowing Quetz, Ozzy, or Ivan from my friendlist all the time. Luckily, I have Cas Gil so I can borrow a Waver or Tamamo for Arts meme-ing.

Loved the Oryou comment at the end. Also just thought that Shiki (Assassin), Ryouma, and Tamamo is a great Arts team in which they each could cover each other's asses.
