1. Been with you since day one
2. Always puts you before herself
3. Never asks for healing, even when she is in pain
4. Dosen't fully know how to utilize her skills, yet will stand by you no matter what
5. Even when in pain, because of the ortenaus suit (spoilers), all she wants to do is be useful to her senpai

No matter how many gacha rolls you failed, no matter how many SRs or SSRs you have, best kouhai will always be there for you. Considering how her ascensions are tied to the story, I hope that DW will increase her bond level to ten and by the end of part 2, Mash will receive her Bond CE one way or another.

Yeah, once I realized I had to go against him after Tristan, I just picked an Orion support. Crazy levels of memery lol
I just bodied all of them with my random team
There was only a handful that gave me shit
1. Gawain. That damage reduction really fucked with me and since he's early on, he was my wall until I levelled up Eury & David a bit and even then I was just annoyed with him and used a Command Seal so I can continue.
2. Second fight of the Demon God Pillar Amun-Ra. Healed too much so I couldn't be bothered with the rest of the chapter.
3. Lancer Artoria Round 1. Lack of Sabers and was too stubborn to level my Bediever I had gotten beforehand just for one fight. Though Okita support came through for me in Round 2 - Finished her with a crit, love you Okita

It wasn't until she gained her taunt skill back in London that I really started taking the time to utilize her correctly and understand the timing behind her support. She truly is amazing and I definitely don't regret all the mats and fous and exp I poured into her! Best Kouhai bar-none!
It's pretty obvious with her story progression she will one day be the monstrous and powerful free 5* servant she was always meant to be, maybe at Lostbelt 6. Maybe even, one day, there will be an episode in the story at the conclusion of the Lostbelts (or future story arc) where the MC decides to utilize "a holy grail" on Mashu and jump her straight from Lv.90 to Lv. 100 cap. Ah I can only dream, she deserves all the praise, just the best.
Mashu, a girl who will stand in front of death to keep you alive, and also a prime target for -lewd shenanigans- deep bonding and conversation. What more can you ask from a Kouhai?

Rashomon was the first time I used her seriously and my god did she do her job fantastically. With the difficulty only going up more and her new buffs from Camelot she’ll definitely be seeing alot more use from me.
Same here, I wouldn't have survived rashomon without her, before that event I had her with her skills on 2/2/2 and during the event I raised her to 9/10/9.
makes me wonder how well a mash tamamo and grailed kuro team could work to stomp the banani oni. Especially if I swap her in after spamming caster gils skills

Just a very reliable servant that is always welcome on the team. That zero cost is extremely helpful. An incredibly solid defensive servant that can keep your team alive through tough times. Well worth leveling up those skills and keeping her leveled as the story went along. Always kept her on the front lines for the story segments and glad she's gotten these buffs with Camelot being out.
FlareKnight Yep, I’m definitely not regretting maxing her skills out. Her overall skill set is so versatile and useful when you need a defensive position set up or simply stalling out for NP gain etc. Also, her NP synergizes with just about any servants, buster, quick, or arts alike. I’m definitely going to be carried by my Mash, Okita, Jalter and Bond 10 Herc throughout the game.
idk I found her annoying in the visual novel sections either putting words in my mouth or explaining the obvious. It could be the problem of writing in a style similar to Fate Stay Night while giving no real choice or branching paths or I never used her to start and she just kept getting on my nerves how she's always there doing everything while Martha and other servants just don't exist.
She might be very good but I've gotten by fine with Leonidas and various other servants
She's also very easy to 10/10/10 as she only requires 15 of a single item type for her three skills.

Mash in undeniably useful gameplay wise, but her character is insufferable for me. The amount of times this discount Sakura Matou has to insert herself into literally every possible situation drives me fucking mad. Anytime I want to spend time with my servants, Mash JUST HAS TO BE INVOLVED. It doesnt help that you have no dialogue choice that implies you disagree with her. The frequency to which she does this, honestly makes it seem like the game is implying you're fucking married to her. If she keeps doing this, she can go fuck off to the second archive. Outside of Rashomon, she has never been in my party.
She's also the best emergency safety blanket against enemy NPs with her own NP+defense skills all stacking.
Eggplant is my favorite vegetable to give head-pats.
Feels so good to have 10/10/10 Max Fou'd Mash early on the game and see her benefits just grow on its own as the game progresses! The times of being unlucky for the first few months of the game can be beneficial when it comes to having stockpiled mats for best Kouhai

Still to begin Murrica, only 1 5* (El-Melloi lv54, but he's very good support). Stronk servant is a lv 60 Herc (3rd ascension already activated) and Sabercelot lv 58 (no medals until Camelot, so he's gonna stay 60 for a loooong time).

98kazer a great thing about mash that not many people mention is that it's very easy to bring mashu to 10/10/10 since materials as well as qp needed are very cheap and easy to afford.
I'd use her more, but the fact that she doesn't gain bond points kinda makes it feel like I'd be better using someone else unless I'm having a hard time and really need her in my team
Mash is an excellent tactical decision from DW, instead of yet another attacker, your number two has the best defensive capability in the game.
Mash is also incredibly valuable for speedruns on alts accounts, since she can keep taunters alive for much longer than expected so the friend support servant can wreck enemies.
On the re-run of this year's summer event.

Honestly people that aren't levelling Mash can only not do so for 2 reasons. Either they genuinely don't know how amazing she is going to get (Which i am making an effort of letting my friends that play the game too know often and they do dilligently keep the Kouhai levelled to the best of their abilities) Or they are crippling themselves on purpose. I mean holy shit a 0 Cost Servant that keeps your team alive AND buffs their attack too? How would anybody NOT want that in their life?

T.T (And yes, I know it sounds weird that I was worried about a character in a game, but I'm going to be blunt: I DON'T CARE!!! I'll worry about my lil Kouhai as much as I want!! ^_^) People NEED to use her more, I mean seriously.

For those asking btw why have Boudica when Mashu is already amazing now, the former can actually hurt things while Mashu still does less damage than Mata Hari or Hans even when max-Fou'd, especially when they're counter Classing. Also, apart from Arts Buff, Boudica's Chariot post-SQ can buff herself with Attack while Lord Camelot doesn't do the same to Mashu.
That said, Mashu is much better as a pure tank thanks to her taunt and having skill+NP for defense
And as she is now... Team Mashing Mashu (Boudica + Mashu + a healer/Tamamo) will legit never die now. Seeing a hard-hitting Invuln Pierce attack do two digits or 0 damage is absolutely satisfying.
Man, I’ve been on that Mash game man, IF she had regular bond levels she’d be at 10 on my Arts team by now. And she was clutch during Camelot

I never have a team without Mash. Adding Grand New Year to her makes her an effective backline. Swap her in to take a Noble Phantasm, and still have her taunt and Invincibility ready for a second one.
Definitely the most underrated servant, but also my most loved. First 10/10/10 and I maxed her level the instant she Ascended.
Unexpected video, bonus points for reviewing best kouhai! I had her 10/10/10 way before Camelot. She was golden against the banana-oni and not to mention how well she helped against Gawain (Mash + Euryale FTW). With even harder challenge quests on the horizon, a leveled up Mash will definitely be easy mode.
I guess mash and leonidas train together at some point, because they both can deal tristan for me, both with np loop

I am new player in FGO, but as a seasoned JRPG player, I undertood her importance since day 1, sadly some parts of the main campaing are really bothersome to complete but I level her up as much as possible as soon as I have the opotunity.

I got Mashu to 10/10/10 after playing Babylon chapter on JP since I found out how amazing her ability is (too bad the future is grim for her).

The best Kouhai indeed. The amount of times she saved me against banana Oni was ridiculous. If only she can gain bond points through battles, I would use her in my team more.
I maxed Mash out a long time ago. She's one of the most well supported servants in the game when it comes to buffs and she's awesome. And that NP buff makes her amazing as then she has the ablility to be a perfect fit on most teams. I have a friend that just doesn't use her and I just can't help but feel sorry for him.

Beated Camelot yesterday. I was so happy for Mash finally becoming a powerful Servant as a Knight of the Round Table should be that I upgraded her first two skills hahaha. I simply love Mash's character and waited for Camelot Singularity with high expectations. Fortunately, I was not disappointed.

Speaking of memes, she's really fun to use with Berserkalot. Before the camelot upgrades for Mash, I used Hans and Leonidus to support lancelot. But Mash blew Leonidus out of the water with this team. The leonidus idea was that I equipped hans and leonidus with 2030, got hans to protect and build Lancelot's np, then build up Leo's np to use Lancelot's crits a second time. This team crumpled if Leonidus died before building his np or a surprise early crit on Lancelot. Mash made it so I didn't have to worry about keeping Lancelot alive and beefing up his damage. In an np chain of Lord Camelot, then Knight of Owner, Lancelot got a 60% 3 turn attack boost. Oh mama! The team I use to steamroll quests with maximum rauggggh! Arrrrrrrrrrttthhhhhhuuur!
I'm so happy that i maxed my Mash a long time ago, she saved my ass so much that i lost count, especially at Rashomon.

She is very helpful during the last battle in Camelot. I have her maxed leveled and her skills maxed out and she's doing a very good job at keeping my team alive.

Even back when I started playing FGO, during the Garden of Order event, one of my priorities was to strengthen Mash as much as possible. Not because I knew she was good, it was simply because I wanted to make her good. Back in the day, I heard a lot of people calling Mash "weak" or "useless" and I kinda wanted to prove them wrong.
As a result, before I even got to America, Mash had already all of her skills maxed to 10. She was so great with any team I mounted (just like you said) that I pretty much never entered a fight without her. She was that useful if you knrw how to handle her, and now she is even better. :D
Only as of late have I tried to create teams without her for a few minor fights here and there. _(and some major ones too, like the Tristan fight)_ But I must say, when I do that, I REALLY miss the support she would give me.
I believe they made an amazing job with the character of our kouhai! They made sure we would love her, not just for her personality or just for her utility, but for both. It's like their very intention was for us to love Mash, one way or another. ^_^
underrated? Appmedia always has mashu on top of their 4 star tier tist, she is by far the most useful 4 star in the game

I remember doing a solo run with Mash versus Tristan on Camelot both times. Not because I wanted a challenge but because she was the only one I could do it with..😏
I nearly have my Mash Maxed out as of Camelot story. She's lvl 70, has been Maxed fou'd. The only thing that isn't complete is that her skill set is 10/10/9. And that's ONLY because I ran out of the Cube thing items you get from the event quests you need to max it out by the time I got her self target skill to lvl 9. I swear I'm going to fix it as soon as I can get another one of those cubes from the next event, whenever that is. But still I can happily say that I'm one of those people who has used Mash from the get go in EVERY story battle and even the majority of the event quests. The only reason I haven't been using her as much as i used too is because I'm trying to farm bond points with my other servants to unlock their SP, ability, and NP Boosting quests. But even then I still have her set as my leader on my main team because lets face it people, Mashu is head Waifu for lifeu.
Back in the day when i start to play , in the knk event she soloed a high floor boss AT LEVEL 1, she deserves all my love

CE like Volumen Hydrargyrum can also work well with mash specially in boss fights that has single target pair it with Taunt kouhai can be safe and sound assuming enemies doesnt hit her
and Ideal Holy king is also good for her since a +1k HP to all party members is never a bad thing

Mash's defensive skills and NP have saved my team countless times. If someone asked me what is one of the most valuable servants in the game, Mash would be the first mentioned.

I don't use Mash in general battles since I have Hans as main support. I only use her for hard stuff like raids or challenges.
She's not bad in events since she has a 0 cost and can carry an event CE.
Manu14 ofc gotta maximize bond gain. mashu needs a passive that increases bond gained by 20%
i keep her around because she doesn't cost anything, i honestly just keep her in the backline.
She's also the perfect AoE type CE holder at the end of slot :-p (since her cost is zero)

I already maxed her skills, her atk and def, and her level, between London and America. Her skills are great for event bosses, and when you want your expensive event CEs she's also great because of her cost of 0.
Also, kaleidoscope+wall of chalk = instant NP.
When you want to level her, but you got Shuten Douji immediately as your first 5-star servant... Finally maxed Shuten, but then Gilgamesh came to a mongrel like me... Sorry Mash, beginners don't have enough experience and materials to spare around...
Finished maxing her skills as soon as I got 3 Crystallised Lore. She's always in my story team, standing in front of everybody with maxed out skills, max leveled and max fou'd.
Mash was my first 10/10/10 servant and I think it was very much worth it

I think people tend to not consider Mash because they always want to earn Bond points on the whole team, and Mash takes a spot and gains none
Still, it´s awesome how DW gave us the best tank in the game for free
Usually free, starting characters in Gacha games always end up being forgotten later on, but Mash is always useful and relevant, good job DW

Her, Merlin and Waver in 1 team just becomes silly. Waver and Mash make your team never die, Waver and Merlin charge Mash's NP, and Merlin heals your party while providing teamwide invincibility.
