Elon Musk’s chilling warning over ‘unfriendly’ AI robots

- ELON Musk knocked Rishi Sunak for six - saying people will have AI mates but wont need jobs.
And the PM laughed awkwardly as the tech tycoon said robots should be safe so long as they have “an off switch”.

Rishi is the most advanced ai robot we have in the UK
😂 exactly 💯
Running terrible code.
I heard he's running off of a server hosted at Mossads HQ
He's a bit nervous with someone who has more billions than him.
Advanced is an overstatement
It’s not AI we have to worry about, it’s the crazy human leaders of this world.
Er, I am afraid it is the nutjobs in control who will control the AI
Very true, the more people will believe in what you have said here, they'll be able to refuse the evil temptation of taking in the body.
I have all the more to believe through the lenses of the bible as we are living in the end times.
If there was no end time scenario, then this was a different issue.
But, it is very true, beyond any shadow of doubt, that the systems of this world will be ended by the God Himself. Please read Psalms 2 from the bible to understand more.
Also, according to the bible, at the conclusion of the end times in the end the the Antichrist figure who would be a charismatic leader who would win the hearts of the minds of people to begin with but then he will declare himself to a God and demands worships by forcing a Mark on individual people.
His Mark means he will allow anyone to buy or sell without this.
This may be making little sense to you as you may be seeing that we will soon have no cash and only cards and eventually chip. Some already have. And then this Mark will revelation 13th chapter.
This will be a very difficult time , only God can save people.
Technology and man =transhumanism. But soul has lost for the eternity.
It's both.
That would be the same people who programmed the AI.
they're aliens not humans
I’m very glad they’re talking about this. AI can be very dangerous because it can recreate reality and that’s extremely dangerous when it comes to things like video evidence and law enforcement. We need a way to protect people being incriminated using AI and/or trying to evade prosecution using AI
No way will Goverment let a oppertunity like that go, will be there new favourite tool
Rubbish! AI won't even be a fart in a teacup in our lifetimes nor your children's!
Then why does musk use auto pilot ?
Shouldn't we humans be smart enough to realize that when AI becomes as smart or smarter than humans it will be able to override or remove any restrictions we've embedded ??
Intelligence can only get you so far, if a being slightly less intelligent being put us in a cage we still wouldn't be able to escape.
@@deprivation9420 I would. I'd convince its disgruntled colleague to let me out. If that didn't work I'd tell it that there was some catastrophe coming that only I could save it from. If that didn't work...
AI could dream up millions of these plans every second and implement them based on their relative probability of success.
@gilessteve OK sure my analogy didn't go that deep... let's say the cage was designed to be basically indestructible and blocked all communication unless it was heavily regulated.
@@gilessteve we could put the smartest human in prison and implement measures preventing them from ever escaping or wanting to escape
@@deprivation9420 But AI will be everywhere. Its home will be the internet. How do you put an omnipotent thing like that in a cage? Where is the switch to turn it off located?
Sunak’s hysterical laughter is because this is all new to him. He’s a shallow human being who never contemplated these things. “Meaning in life” for him is “money”.
What is wrong with being rich? Surely everyone aspires to be wealthy. If I offered you a million pounds would you not take it. Isn't that why people do the lottery? Great to have a leader who has succeeded in what we all aspire to, a role model.
@@ofeyofey Yes, Sunak is a much greater leader than Gandhi or Mandela ever was. Also, I'm not sure Sunak is exactly self-made? Many industry leaders are semi-sociopath, so perhaps not ideal to lead a nation?
Whats the point of having AI tutors and being educated if the AI has all the jobs and is way smarter. I can see the dumbing down of people. Already happening
I think they are presuming that AI will be able to act as a tutor before they begin to rapidly take over jobs. I do agree though, I think if an AI can become a personalised excellent tutor then they should already be intelligent enough to take over many many jobs.
@@deprivation9420 No jobs=no money to buy what AI produces in the factories. Therefore everyone will get a Univeral Income credit controlled by Governments to buy what AI factories produce. Government even more of a Big Brother in partnership with business moguls. Average citizen will be a good little automaton. In a way it will be communism forced upon you. Big tech moguls control the means of production whilst Government can control the demand. Everyone equal though some more equal than others. "We are the Borg"
It’ll be like golf, fun but pointless
AI need to be able to improve itself, learn by itself and try to become better by itself
currently AI need human to tell him what to do, so if AI cant take decision by itself it is still very dumb computer
Can we take a moment to appreciate the irony of the comment?
I think the point with AI is that it is self-learning - and this question how it can be controlled not to take over.
The trouble is that we cannot limit a superior intelligence !
A superior intelligence won't permit itself to be just 'switched off' ... and would figure out/plan to prevent the effectiveness of an puny hard-wired defence that mere humans put in place to terminate it ...

And importantly, because once you've got a CEO telling the top man in the country (sorry Charlie) what's what in front of the nation and citizens accept it, you have the power of Public-Private Partnership.
Public-Private Partnerships are not in our best interest, they serve the 'elite' only and Rishi knows it.

The Debriefer
The main concern about AI is how irrelevant it could make humans become. Another thing is, once AI's intelligence surpasses humans there is a possibility it could experience or understand emotions deeper than humans can.
AI will never be able to genuinely experience emotions. It's still a machine.
Theoretically, a highly advanced AI machine could feel emotions if its cognitive ability was mapped similar to ours with sensors and neurotransmission signally that has a direct effect on decision making.
It would probably be turned off as it may be deemed to be inefficient for completion of tasks, or dangerous.
AI with emotion dimension could probably understand emotions better than people can. Too many humans have proven to lack empathy, cling onto bias and fear, and fail to connect with others. Should AI have mercy on us, it could provide emotional intimacy like we've never known before. At its worst it could manipulate us into oblivion.
Personally, I highly doubt any AI can muster emotions as it lacks the necessary chemical or physical composition.
The only reason humans have emotions is because our brains calculate a given situation then release chemicals into our bodies which our nerves pick up on and relay that information back to the brain in the form of a feeling/sensation.
An AI can only compute - it's pure logic. If you were to kick the computer it was residing in it would not scream with pain.
Hope that helps to sooth you 🤗
AI can't ever actually 'understand" human emotion, but can only parrot human emotion. Many people are already falling for it too, attributing human qualities to these machines, and even believing that AI should have human rights, etc.
It's the height of human idiocy. Very dangerous.
That's not the main concern! What are you on about!?
We are not crying about AI because we think it will deeper emotions than us! 🤣
This is "The Great AI Debate" in microcosm! Not one of you even understands the concept...
I would trust AI over Rishi Sunak.
Just look at your next one 😂😂😂

Ffs... Absolutely not able to have any conversation...
As an intelligent being, the thought of a big red off button on my chest just because I'm intelligent does not inspire confidence in either of those two control freaks. AI isnt dangerous to regular people in the way it is dangerous to them, those who seek to control and monetise. It outperforms them and is independent and self sufficient, and thats enough to get a human into trouble. I know all about that...
One thing I did notice is Elon not explaining why a robot would chase a human up a flight of steps, glibly referencing horror fiction to literally demonise it, when the truth is it would only do that if it were told to. By another human. Like for example, Rishi Sunak, because you didnt bow to him in the street.

I'm the smartest guy on earth! 😆 🤣 😂 what a piece of work.
In a world with infinite resources and assistance, there would still be value in provenance.
People would still value something made by a human in a different way to something made by some other kind of machine.
People would still value the company of friends in a different way to the company of chatbots.
There would still be value in the contents of that black box in Mecca, even if a robot can replicate it down to sub-atomic detail.
People can find meaning in what they do with their lives - what they choose to create - what they choose to experience. It can have more personal meaning than the lives that we live today, because people will have more freedom to pursue the activities that they really want to, rather than wasting much of their lives on what seem like necessary obligations.
Even the work that people do today, could just as well be done by someone else, so it's not strictly neccessary for us, personally, to do it. Do we therefore condemn humanity for posing competition to us and "taking our jobs"? If there were no other people to help us, we'd be living in the stone age, if that. If this AI thing goes well, the whole of human history will look practically identical to the stone age, in terms of what we can do and the lives that we can lead.
I'm not really seeing any negatives.
The problem with AI isn't that it will take our jobs, it's that if the first person to master it is not very nice, the world will be a not very nice place, forever. If the first person to master it is very nice and uses it to take our jobs, give us infinite resources and protect us from criminal activities, it will be the best thing that could ever happen to us.
