My grandma Mary wrote notes on everything. I didn't appreciate it when I was young. She documented everything at a level most families don't have and because she was a historian she knew it was important.
The iconic siamese cat became hugely popular as a "knick knack" after Disney released Lady and the Tramp which featured two mischievous siamese cats in 1955. All of a sudden I remember our dime stores had all sizes and shapes of siamese cats!!
I *love* the little stuff (around the 4 minute mark) so please don't feel you have to skip over them for me. I bought one of those hosiery repair "matchboxes" about 30 years ago and I ADORE it.
I'm 62 been casually collecting and selling for 30 years. I've never had Roseville and I've always appreciated it. I think it is beautiful. I'm really enjoying this haul. I enjoy almost all of the vintage items.
I have lamp similar to that brass Aladdin lamp Jeannie lamp lol. I hope if I sell 75.00 will keep to bring me luck lol. Rub the side for luck like the belly of a BUDDAH which I collect also.
Can't stop laughing. You showed a pail and said the big bad wolf. I said oh how cute, a l'il girl w/a donkey. I better enlarge my screen. I took a second look and said now that's not a donkey and thought it was a dog. You put me to shame! Don't know if I need new glasses or need gingko for the brain. Your precious and Blessings Always
Hello. I recently bought an antique dresser that had the history of the three generations of families written on a note inside. It had originally come from a family in Ohio then at some point travelled to Florida and was sold when the 92 year woman died and I guess none of her relations were interested in keeping it. I also love Roseville pottery and personally I will buy an item I like even if it is damaged. It’s amusing to watch you crumble up the wrapping paper and throw it to the floor. I can only imagine the mess after an unboxing!
I laughed when I saw you wrapping the Roseville in puppy pads. I use them all the time, but always feel a little embarrassed handing something to a customer wrapped that way. But it is perfect with just enough padding to protect a piece for storage and the trip to its new home. I don’t ship so easier than having a bunch of bubble wrap. Plus pretty cheap:-). Always fun to watch your videos!
Hi, George! I adore Roseville myself and think it’s beautiful. I love it’s aesthetic. I’m surprised it isn’t more popular again since we can easily get info online regarding reproductions. Your videos are just so wonderful and informative. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience with us.
With the wild boars, maybe they were fans of the Arkansas Razorback basketball team? The team started back in early 1920's so with the age of those boars it's a possibility.
Oh my, the Roseville is to die for! I would hold onto it for collection purposes. Not enough to go around, when they are authentic! Keep the readers for yourself, they look great on you! Great unboxing. Thanks for sharing.
Everything you showed was either what my Mom had or I had or still have . The Doll House was what I got for my Birthday in the 60s. Thank You for bringing back my memories. You are such a joy to watch! Don’t work to hard. Do you ever just take a few days off? ❤
Good evening, George! That is a really nice, eclectic treasure trove! I like that brass Aladdin's lamp. The Roseville console set is really nice. The Post office box front is cool. I'd make a bookend out of it. I liked that malachite box. Fun unboxing! Thanks for sharing it with us!
Those spectacles suit you so very well. They match your eye socket perfectly. It’ll be a very long time till you find another that suit you as much as those
Hi George In response to the kitchen sink company. That's the sink and cabinet I have in my kitchen and also where I was born. Absolutely love 💘 love 💘 love that sink. Have to go now...dishes to wash. Seriously
What fun! And very informative as usual, I love these mystery Box videos. I'm always at the edge of my seat anticipating what you're going to pull out next.
Always love a bit of patina on solid brass. I also thought it was funny when you said “I’m glad they sent me the contents of the dresser to pick through” I’d never know what’s worth more than something else. I loved the radio and the Roseville as well. My grandmother had a few pieces growing up. I always wonder what happened to them.
George, that wooden skier may have been made in Italy. I believe the brand was Romer and there was a sticker saying Italy. we have a few in other sports and occupations. They were pretty valuable.
I always tell my friends that going through my items to inventory and photograph for Etsy & Ebay is "like Christmas" because I tend to buy stuff and then put it aside until I have time to do it. I rarely remember what I bought. I've started to do unboxing videos also. No following yet, but maybe someday.
I love that set of canisters except I actually want one that is Jadeite. I thought that small stove was for the doll house. Yes, I make doll houses and always looking for great new ideas to furnish them with, not too fond of the plastic though. Some great stuff there. Have a great day
i subscribed. the auction i helped set up and work for today went great. i was basically the guy who brought up each item and held it while people bid. thanks for making this sort of content. I was able to watch a few of your videos and learned how to do the job before i even went. :) (im just commenting on your most recent video) thanks again
Hello! I appreciate you subscribing and thanks! I'm so happy to hear you did that, I only recently did that job for the first time myself. It does help to know a thing or two in advance!
Another very interesting video. Thanks! Many of the things I remember being in my parents/aunts/uncles homes. So nice to see them again. That little juicer is super cute as is the mustard man in the car.
What do you know about Old ink pencil set gold color with stones crystals in the raised decorations they are about 2-3 inches.. I have many nice items..Nanny gave me the Yellow gold trim Aladin tea pot and Old mirrored dresser dipped in center a draw on each side. The mirror is discolored. Is there a way I can get photos to you and how much is your cost Sir. I watch you A Lot I've Learned to Appreciate your Amazing Talent to know and to Teach us. Thank You
Hi George. I'm wondering, with your wealth of knowledge, what sources do you use to research particular items. I am an avid collector of many items, but I find it very difficult to find the history of a lot of objects. Love your content! The best in the biz!
Hi George, I am enjoying binge watching your videos. And I was wondering if you ever come to Fort Myers, Fl and do any shows here in this area? I would love to come to one of your shows. Thanks, Pam
Great video! Very informative! I would love to see those eye baths. I’ve come into a few recently and would love to know more for collecting and selling.
That was fun! Would like to know more about that corkscrew. I recently found one at a thrift store and passed it up because I thought it may have been too specific. Pre-prohibition! I live in NY so maybe I’ll found another one.
Your right, the Siamese kittens/cats where popular late 60s - early 70s. I know my Grandmother had at least 4 of them. I liked the 1- wall climber & the 1- that hung on the fish bowl edge. Question: Do they make replacement stoppers for the shakers, banks, etc ?? PS. Ginger was a model, so I'm sure she had plenty of Nips & Tucks done to Preserve her looks, even at her age ! lol
I have an afro Haitian (I think) carved boy and girl heads/busts...I love them but can't find alot of info on them....signed ABNER on the bottom....I've found smooth finished pictures of the same boy and girl but the ones I have are very rough hand carved look...do you know of these?
Here now! Headed to an appraisal fair this Wed. 1/18 at Fountains of Boca Ciega retirement home in St. Pete (open to the public), and then Renninger's Mt. Dora antique extravaganza Fri. 1/20-Sun. 1/22!
My grandma Mary wrote notes on everything. I didn't appreciate it when I was young. She documented everything at a level most families don't have and because she was a historian she knew it was important.
Hold Up! I’m left-handed and proud of it. I was born in 1957 and was never ridiculed for being a lefty. Love the Maryanne reference!
Excellent to hear! By the time I was a kid, they weren't trying to make lefties into righties anymore.
I also had the metal house and I’m 61, it was a nice memory.😊
It's blows my mind how much knowledge you have.
You should give the broken parrot to the buyer of the other one for free instead of throwing it away. Maybe he wants to get him repaired.
“Moved out in a hurry.” Lol
The iconic siamese cat became hugely popular as a "knick knack" after Disney released Lady and the Tramp which featured two mischievous siamese cats in 1955. All of a sudden I remember our dime stores had all sizes and shapes of siamese cats!!
Yes! My mom started collecting them, and by the 1970s, we had two siamese cats...who started breaking them lol
I am always drawn to these as well because I have two Siamese. LOL. The main reason I don't buy them is because I am afraid they will break them.
I love the Pin Money bank with the rhinestones and the car with driver salt & pepper set.
Those were popular and went to viewers!
I *love* the little stuff (around the 4 minute mark) so please don't feel you have to skip over them for me. I bought one of those hosiery repair "matchboxes" about 30 years ago and I ADORE it.
I like those sweet little day to day things too!
I'm 62 been casually collecting and selling for 30 years. I've never had Roseville and I've always appreciated it. I think it is beautiful. I'm really enjoying this haul. I enjoy almost all of the vintage items.
They sold the creamers at the Tik Tok Diner located on the bottom floor of the hotel which is located across the street from Madison Square Garden
I have lamp similar to that brass Aladdin lamp Jeannie lamp lol. I hope if I sell 75.00 will keep to bring me luck lol. Rub the side for luck like the belly of a BUDDAH which I collect also.
Hi George, I love the humor you add at unexpected moments. Good luck at your Florida sales 🏝🏝🏝

I had one of those tin houses when I was a kid. I'm actually looking for one.
Neat!
Romer Italy wooden skier $ 50.00, eBay listing, one on Etsy no price🥰

As a teen in 80s I had a big Smurf collection...wish I still had
I laughed when I saw you wrapping the Roseville in puppy pads. I use them all the time, but always feel a little embarrassed handing something to a customer wrapped that way. Me too - although I prefer the more earthy tones. Not really into the pinks.
This was fun.🙂
With the wild boars, maybe they were fans of the Arkansas Razorback basketball team? The team started back in early 1920's so with the age of those boars it's a possibility.
And those pinks and greens are popular in new decorating
Oh my, the Roseville is to die for! I would hold onto it for collection purposes. Not enough to go around, when they are authentic! Keep the readers for yourself, they look great on you! Great unboxing. Thanks for sharing.
Hey George, The skier looks lik a Romer Italy piece.
Everything you showed was either what my Mom had or I had or still have . The Doll House was what I got for my Birthday in the 60s. Thank You for bringing back my memories. You are such a joy to watch! Don’t work to hard. Do you ever just take a few days off? ❤
I did take some time off last month and it was nice! I think it's so fun that you had this piece as a kid, one other viewer in Indiana did as well.
@@TheAntiqueNomad Gorgeous George you are such a hoot sometimes!(Hey grandpa...)
Always learn something new, appreciate your humor too! 😂👍

This was such an enjoyable video! Your knowledge is so great and you're a great teacher. Thanks.
Ha! I went as “Ginger” to a Halloween party, a couple of years ago. Lol It involved a Ginger wig and very glam dress. Lol
Oh my gosh there are so many nice things your showing us so far and I've only watched halfway so far! Many bringing back memories!
That's Yiddish on the corkscrew. I saw that it said "Yitzhak Goldberg" in Yiddish but I couldn't see after. It's probably from NY's Lower East Side.
That's right!
I’m just commenting after …was the owner or a relative/husband a Razorbacks fan? That may explain the wild boar 🐗 collection….
This was fun, George! I think the wooden skier is made in Italy by Romer. A search of “Romer Italy wood skier” will return lots of results.
Those spectacles suit you so very well. They match your eye socket perfectly. It’ll be a very long time till you find another that suit you as much as those
Yes, I thought maybe he should keep them.
I love Roseville, but I like the 4 or 5 patterns that cost the most, bummer! Still liking the wall pockets...Thank you for sharing!
Loved the video and all your treasures very nice
I love the doll house
Hi George
In response to the kitchen sink company. That's the sink and cabinet I have in my kitchen and also where I was born. Absolutely love 💘 love 💘 love that sink. Have to go now...dishes to wash. Seriously
Very cool! I always wanted a house with one but it never happened.
@@TheAntiqueNomad hi

Dang…the we have to wait for the teapot. The plot thickens 😆
I am the same with you; example or no example.
Wow, what a nice wooden figure that ski driver.
Whoop! Whoop! This will be fun!!!
💖
I'm sure it does feel like Christmas to you while unboxing all those goodies. I'm even excited to see what you'll show after each one is showed.
Thanks for the lesson on the Roseville! Now I will know to look at the bottom more closely to see where the glaze should and shouldn't be!
Quite the variety of goodies.
Most of which I've never seen before.
Fun stuff.
Thanks George and Good Luck in Florida. 🌞🌴

That Roseville is gorgeous! My goodness!
Great video awesome items
What great treasures🥰I love the yellow container with thimble, needles and thread, also the little purse and maccasins🥰
I noticed a few of the items are in the research video.
Yes that's right, I plucked a few interesting things I thought needed a broader audience
I really like the Roseville set ❤️

Great video George! Thanks for sharing!
The Aladdin Lamp is most likely a Cigar Lamp or lighter, worth more as a Cigar Lamp than a novelty item.
That Roseville is gorgeous.
Incredible graphics on little pails
Hall china collecter here....I've never seen these little creamers
That green and pink really pretty
Hello George hope you're having a good day I watched you through Danny's and your trip through her store it was very exciting!

Love your videos (& humor).
I'd take the damaged humpty dumpy for display....most of my pieces are "Charlie brown" pieces anyways
I love Roseville. I have one piece that I bought from CrazyLampLady.
Such a fun mix of items. I do enjoy seeing the things I grew up with. Great video! Thank you for sharing this unboxing.👍🏻😊👋🏻

I might get to do that for you
I watch you all the time ,can you tell me how and where to buy mystery boxes?
Hi! I could make some for you depending what you like. I mainly see Fat Bird Finds doing mystery boxes though.

George, I would be interested in the duck juicer if it's still available.
I'm sorry, I sold it on eBay this last round in my bonus video

Are pieces of Roseville like Futura and more expensive lines still pricey?
On the cork screw was written in Hebrew.
What does pin money mean? Literally sewing pins?
