Great to see you back on the water AJ. Really enjoyed your video, but missed seeing the Admiral and Jasper as well. I’m looking forward to getting back to Florida in a couple of weeks!! Take good care ..
I’ve been blessed to cruise on hull # 1 of the 70 E . They are great boats . My buddy , the owner , then moved up to the 85 , now has the Horizon 94 . Aren’t I lucky to experience these magnificent boats ? Thank you for sharing . I hope you’re planning more videos this winter .
That's awesome! We were actually in touch with the current owners of #1 who reached out to us during our trip. It's also featured on the cover of the issue of Yachting Magazine that has an article inside about a particular boat nut you know... scroll down on the homepage of our website to see it: myoloh.com/
Nice trip Captain's. Thanks for talking me along. The OA 70E is a favorite of mine. See alot of them up here in Puget Sound. Have a nice Thanksgiving 😊
Thanks for the update AJ, I have been wondering what OLOH has been up to. Its fun to see these locations again cause I have either sailed them myself in the Navy or my own boat years ago.
Finally another video ! We were wondering what happened to you guys. For a moment thought you got caught in the many hurricanes, but luckily that did not happen. Sorry to hear Jasper and the admirals could not come along for the journey. But one thing is clear, the Three B's is a beautiful boat. Thinking about moving up already ?
Ha - we're still here and do hope to get back to releasing videos a bit more often. We thankfully did well through the storms and look forward to being back aboard OLOH soon. We do love the OA and, in fact, it was us who suggested to The Three B's owners that they consider that exact boat when they were in the market. So you never know. FWIW, if you're on FB we do update much more regularly there. Cheers!
Great video. That Ocean Alexander 70E really barrels along. I assume it is fairly easy to handle around docks with pod drives, joystick and bow thruster. Is it a comfortable boat to cruise on?
The 70e is really a pleasure all around. She's an incredibly comfortable, well-mannered boat and very well suited for owner operators (or for having a cap as some who own them do). The pods and thruster give exactly the precision close quarters maneuvering you imagine, she's smooth and stable at cruise (Side-Power Vector Fins) and the Dynamic Positioning System for station holding truly spoils you.
AJ, we've been following this trip and appreciate the full edit version indeed. We cruised the San Juan/Gulf Island group when we were in the PNW on our 58'OA. Totally different cruising rounds than the East Coast. This 70e is a great boat. Not sure if it was a Ed Monk design?? The choice of Volvos is interesting. I would have thought maybe MTU's?
So glad to hear you've been along for the ride! We're really hoping to experience cruising in the PNW at some point, perhaps a bareboat for a few weeks. Very different indeed and it all looks spectacular. There is definitely the appearance of Monk inspiration in the 70e design but it was penned by the great Evan K Marshall. Regarding the Volvos, when the boat was designed I don't believe there was a pod drive partner for MTU (I believe they work with ZF now for pods) and since the 70e was designed specifically for pods, I can see why they went with a one company solution. Cheers!
Ha! Not quite, but not too far off. Fortunately fuel was cheaper this year than the past few and they get a huge discount as Safe Harbor members. But definitely a good time!
Nice boat , The adventure must have been what wasn’t on camera not with us watching it , the video seems to be more of a overview of the trip with just tidbits thrown in with literally no content fastest 9 days I’ve ever seen in 25 mins . 🥱
Ha! Glad you joined in anyway. Yeah, as we mentioned at the top of the video and in the description, this was a little something different than what we usually put out there - a compilation of the daily video logs we shot and posted on social media so it is definitely, unabashedly an overview. We did not shoot additional footage on this trip and felt it would be compelling enough, at least to some, to put out there. The response has generally been good so far. We'll make it up to you with future videos should you choose to join us (or check out our past content which is more of what you had hoped for here). Cheers!
What a gorgeous boat. Thanks for taking us along for the ride.
So glad you could join us!
This was great! Long days of cruising compressed into a short retrospective video = 25 minutes of fun!
SO glad you enjoyed it!
When I get a notification from you guys I love it. Beautiful trip.
I have to let a captain friend of mine subscribed to your channel? Wow!🇺🇸😎☘️👀
Beautiful boat
Love the boat, thanks for the update!
I thought you guys were done making videos so I unsubscribed. Luckily you popped up recommended on my homepage so I resubscribed.
Great to see another video from you. What a trip on a beautiful yacht . Would love to do that one day. Enjoy
Thanks!
Thank you for sharing . I've missed yall
Thank YOU.

Thank you. Missed them both as well. Very different doing this trip without them. Safe travels!

Always fun seeing familiar sights from a different perspective. More coming!

Missed you on the trip down this year. The Tailwinds crew
Hey Tailwinds! Thought of you when we came through Hampton. Hope to see you out there.

@@OLOH Bellingham WA Yacht sales for bareboat charter
You need to make more vids, miss you guys
Thanks Havana. We hope to be getting back to it more. Cheers!
Looks like a good time. To bad the fuel cost was probably $17,000 though.....

@@OLOH Good for you...
I live in Wilmington nc that yall passed through.
Nice! Such a great part of the trip.
Looks like the former Pilot's Point Marina....
Indeed! Safe Harbor Pilots Point was our point of departure.
