I have watched a lot of videos on boats but i think this is by far the best boat ive watched....very well organized. I will make enough money to buy one
I love the galley layout and the flow from the saloon to the cockpit. Stainless steel in the galley is the way to go too! I've never seen a gimballed saloon table area - a great idea - would love to see that in action. For a 50, I would like to see a larger owner's cabin and more space for heads to feel more like home on long passages. A beautiful yacht though! Congrats.
What a wonderful yacht you’ve created Marko! I really like the seamless connection between the cockpit and saloon - perfectly designed and absolutely beautiful she is👍
. As a Beneteau Sense 50 owner, I have a list of "must haves" for my next boat. This boat, addresses all of them. Very well done. I would have like to have seen a slightly more spacious master cabin Additionally, I would like to know what are the option to increase the tankage for both fuel and water.
Thank you! I'm glad you like our P50. Yes, we have an option to increase tanks. We can increase the diesel rezervoar from 480l to 700l and the water tanks from 2x370l to 2x 450l. I'll be glad to share more information.
Very well thought-out design. As a thought, hopefully a more robust (albeit less transparent) companionway hatch would be available as an option. This large sliding door gives great visibility but looks vulnerable to me and being able to close the cabin waterproof is a major safety concern.
Thanks for the compliments. The sliding door was also our concern and a big focus. The doors are designed, build and certified according to the ocean-going CE Class A category regulations. We sailed many miles in all sorts of conditions, and they proved very well. You are welcome to come on board our P50 #1 and try by yourself.
Your yacht is an outstanding composition of very good design, sailing performance, best materials and finishing and a convincing concept. A pleasure to be shown around and to be part of a sailing crew - see the German Bootsprofis. Really well done!!
Great !!! Your gimbaled dinette would have been perfect when we sailed our Camper & Nicholson from Tahiti to Hawaii on our way to Vancouver: During the whole passage, we were on the same starboard tack, more or less from 18° south to 20° north 😄😄😄
I like the point that it can be sailed short-hand but the layout is not really what I appreciate on a 50ft boat. I really love the style and layout of the HR50. Also I prefer a Center cockpit, not that keen on duo cockpits (and yes, I know that the HR50 also has a duo cockpit).
I actually really like this save for two things that really stand out Im not a fan of non solid life line and barriers and the only other having to step over every door way just begging for MAD late night toe stubs soooo many
Heads wet locker fwd I don't like, crew will be walking through entire living area with their wet foulies. Also sleeping areas fwd in the areas that generally have higher movement/motion is not so cool. I think the boat is stunning, would change a good few things for long distance cruising, ditch the carbon mast, ditch rod rigging if she has it. Look at a possible shallow draught option, don't trust the door to the saloon in a following sea.
Definitely one of the best videos of boats I have ever seen. Loved this boat, is beautiful and great boat for long passages. Also the presenter was very good. Just one question, does this boat have the capacity to sail in the antarctic?
I wonder this ocean yacht is not equipped with a washing machine. Desalination station? Air condition? Internet? Dinghy/motor crane? All of this the owner will need to install in a "non-factory way", including finding a place, providing kingstones, ducting and cabling. A questionable choice of lazy bag instead of furling into the mast for the declared short-handed crew. Other than this - I like it!
@michroz, actually, everything you mentioned is in the standard specification of Pegasus 50. Besides the washing machine, air-conditioning, water maker, Wi-Fi, and dinghy with electric motor (which goes into the garage - no need for a crane or davits), the standard are also LiFePo4 batteries, induction cooker, generator, hydro generator, solar panels, full navigation equipment with three plotters, two autopilots (drives and computers for redundancy) and Starlink is optional (not everyone needs it) but it has dedicated place integrated into the cabrio roof ... Carbon mast is also standard, and to have good main sail in mast furling is not an option. This lazy bag is very wide and big; the sail just drops in, and you flip over the cover; no zipper or climbing on the boom is needed. And all the lines for reefing go to the cockpit, so it is easy & safe also for single-handed sailing.
All the mentioned systems and equipment is already included and installed on every Pegasus 50. Some other options for specific needs we can install for the owner during the build of the boat.
Thank you for the compliments! VPP is in our brochure. You can easily download it here pegasus-yachts.com/#downloadBrochure. Or you can contact me directly, and I'll be glad to share even more information.
It may be a company's choice to design without thinking about potential customers, but you should at least consider your own comfort while designing! 07:35 Is rubbing against glass every time we enter the bathroom a continuation of a national tradition or a designer's fantasy?
It comes fully equipped, delivered, commissioned, tested ... for 1,25M€. More you can see in the test from Toby Hodges on Yachting World channel th-cam.com/video/salmqrQOHxE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Ndz7bFBe1v-aYVzA
Look here, from very critical professional boat appraisers from Germany. They have inspected the boat and it is doing very well. Nice boat. th-cam.com/video/ukOelSj5VDg/w-d-xo.html
Nice yacht. I praise Pegasus Yachts for the practical features/design of the galley, engine room, and overall outside of the boat (for sailing and outside entertainment). The covered cockpit and hard dodger design are beautiful and useful for whoever will be on the helm. I wonder about the visibility though. I have to say that I did not like the layout design in relation to births/cabins/heads. Having dry heads and a better owners cabin would make for an overall much better yacht. Nonetheless, I expect Pegasus to over different internal layout options so this may not be a problem necessarily. Overall I am impressed w/ the adoption of some practical designs/features we see in yachts like: Discovery, Oyster and Amel. Congratulations and thanks for the video!
Thank you for all your comments and nice wishes! From the help positions, visibility is excellent on the sides. And you can also look through the cabin or over the cabin through the fixed glass sprayhood. We have more than one layout option. You can check them here pegasus-yachts.com/layouts/ . And all the combination and different ideas are also possible.
The version in the video has 2+2+1 berths. We also have an option with 2+2+2. But the Pegasus 50 is built for the shorthanded crew, usually for a couple occasionally hosting family members or friends. Even a version with just the master cabin, front sail locker, and working place in the corridor's port side is possible.
Wonderfully designed vessel! Well done....but, He obviously doesn't know how to count steps in English. haha. (2 steps down into saloon and he takes 3; 1 step down into forward cabins and he takes 2; 1 step up to deck and he takes 2)
Thanks for the comment. Settee is made in one piece fully out of carbon. In total it weighs only 45kg. Gimballed settee gives a lot of comfort, check also this video th-cam.com/video/XKbwA5U8yg4/w-d-xo.html Important is which parts of the boat and why are made from carbon. We use carbon for all the structural parts to get more stiffness and at higher placed composite parts to get better weight distribution / lower center of gravity.
Lp, Miha
I wonder that why nobody cares about helmsman's need for shade... Do we have to use some towel clapped between rigit-top bimini and backstays all the time? we the guys are mostly the guys who actually pays for the boat and yet we the guys are left alone under the mediterranian sun as well, whether we ride a 100K€ 30ish entry level cruiser or a million $ 50+ luxury sailor LOL
We have the cabrio roof extension attached with the zipper, but yes, it's attached also attached at two points to the backstay. It could be installed all the time or permanently, but then you have an obstructed view of the sails ... And on P50, you spend most of the time in the cockpit under the cockpit roof, which is permanently installed and gives you great sun protection.
Beautiful Layout and a lot of Innovation. Yacht of the Year !
Prekrasan brod, super organiziran kokpit, bilo bi super jedriti s njim po Jadranu,👍👏👏

Love this boat, excellent layout.
Very well designed and described... love it💕
Thank you so much 😊
Awesome. I circumnavigated on a 48ft yacht with my family. This yacht looks like an awesome choice for the next round with the kids only visiting.
Thank you :)

during high waves , steering area too close to the edge of the boat seems dangerous and can easily fall in the water.
The galley is nice with the big extra work surface under the cockpit seat. Great idea

The only thing i miss in the video, is an Seldén electric furling mast. Very nice boat and good layout.
The option is also a furling boom.
Let me know when a 65’ version of this boat comes out.
On the way. In very the early stages ... please contact me directly if you would like to get more information

That stove is impractible. When sailing healed over to sb, the pots will be flying everywhere ...
Thanks, great looking boat.
Thank you, I'm glad you like it!
Love it..what about a Pegasus 60 video..must be epic...

Very nice video.
Shallow keel available ? Or shallow system with retractable or foldable system?

nternet should not be a huge issue with Starlink anymore
Should be easy options for a different buyer to put in all these features you mention.

The anchor looks tight to the bow. How has design worked thus far?
Pretty well and the bow has a protection just in case.
Want Sail it ...
This is an excellent design.

Hvala. Dobrodošel v Kranj ali Izolo ..

Naša demo P50 ima stalni privez v Izoli. Kadar ne jadra je tam. V charterju je pa ni.
Don't say that, when the engine compartment is open, the table relies on the compass
No :)
Very nice vessel!
Thanks!
Beautiful.

Die Hauptschalter unter der Sitzecke in Minute 5:14 sind ja super platziert 🧐

she is definitely designed by a real sailor. a real beauty.
nice boat - perhaps u save more weight by not having automatic angle-adjusted berths and sinking tables than by building half your boat in carbon ;-)

Interesting boat, but only 2.5 cabins in a 50 foot hull... Hm...
Depends on your needs. Usually, P50 is enjoyed by two + two guests. The layout can have three cabins or only one ...
