In Mexico Mazapan candy it's like Polvoron in the Philippines crushed peanuts too
In Spain Mazapan is a mushy paste like candy made of almonds I heard the best one is from Toledo where they also make really hight quality medieval swords and penknife.
Around the world: interesting candy
Sydney: lol red frog
love candies
1 dollar in Pakistan would give you a whole days meal still some money would be left
@@abdulmoiz9026 that’s also india

Indonesia: *grandma's hair.*
I feel so nostalgic rn for so many places I've never been
I mistook Mexico for the Philippines, our coins looked similar and we also use pesos. Mazapan is like polvoron!
We share a similar cuisine, because we were both Spanish colonies. We also share longanizas, adobos and (leche) flan.
I love longanizas
@Deporting Americans Back to Europe have you tasted filipino food?
I am Mexican and the marzipan is delicious !!! It is peanut powder and it falls apart in the mouth, but due to its presentation it may not attract much attention, but it is one of the best Mexican sweets. I would like you to try them one day, you will love them! 😁
@Deporting Americans Back to Europe typical American making everything about them
The shop in Istanbul, Turkey is so beautiful just like a candy land dream 😋😍
I was shocked to see the PH yema under “candies for $1” but then they do show that it’s $0.02 per piece so all’s well at least ya werent scammed 🤣
Well it's just like a click bait, same I'm shocked because it's only 1 peso($0.02) I just clicked this video because why that yema is so expensive.
@@stephenralphalmueteflores4717 tbh im really interested on that red chewy candy in the thumbnail but i was shock. To see yema at a price of 1 dollars too
ako filipino pag 1 pesos yung candy = cheap
bat kong 2 pesos = red flag
Usually when I buy yema, 15 pesos siya. Pero it's bigger than the one shown in the video so I guess it's fair. Dun ko gusto bumili sa mga pasalubong center tas bibili ako ng isang tub ng yema haha

I’ve been to that Turkish sweets shop it smells so good and there’s such a good variety!
I am just impressed by how the person in the turkey candy shop can get the exact weight just by grabing with his hand
@💫Soft_nighttale💫 what does that have to do with him grabbing the weight of the candy?
He probably knows the weight of a single one, and since it was only 180 and only requires very basic math, he probably didn't need one
I don't think space man is really smart
@@3ybh3lloll3hby3 yes, but it is still impressive considering there were lots of different candies other than the turkish delight! Thats what makes it imppresive
i love watching these because not only do the places look beautiful, (i'm talking to you turkish candy shop) but i love hearing all the languages
I love how the Kenyan presenter explained about the candies.
Expectation: “All over the world”
Reality: 4 countries located within Eurasia’s territory
the Kenyan candy seller: "how are you?"
the customer: "i'd like to get frutyogurt for 50 bob"
the Kenyan candy seller: "ok :')"
Didnt know that Bob was currency

@@andrewj3177 Slang for "shilling". Charles Dickens referenced this in _A Christmas Carol_ in a passage that goes to the effect that Bob Cratchit takes home fifteen (or fifty?) of "his Christian name a week".
Funny to hear and see evidence that "bob" is living slang in former British colonies.
YES I LOVE TO BUY CANDIES WITH MY “B O B”
3:58 "grandma's hair" taste soooo good. obviously its not from real grandma's hair its cotton candy with some crunchy things outsides that makes it look like a sandwich. idk the real story of this food but my parents always says that its a traditional food:-).

The Mexican one looks like one of our Filipino sweets called pulvoron
The original is from mexico
I love peanuts so that sweet caught my attention. It was no suprise when she said it was delicious
Also the one from Filipinas looked like a mexican "dulce de leche" :P
I think México and Filipinas share a lot in candies and in general 🤔

My friend visited Turkey, and she got us Turkish Delight! They were delicious ❤️
What was your favorite flavor?
@@TheLastHylianTitan the white one idk what flavor it is and I also like the pink one 😋🤤
@@miriamart3130 white one probably "kaymak"(milk fat) and the pink one is rose i guess.
I recommend double roasted pistachio delights, they're best
Rose is my favourite as a turkish person! 😊
It’s SO cool to see what different cultures are like through clips of people’s lives. I’ve had Turkish delight before the rose one and chocolate one…it’s SO good. I got them at a kebab shop. :)
turkish candy at kebab shop, nice combination you got there :D
In Poland, the most populous candy is Wawel's Mieszanka Krakowska. It is a double-wrapped (like saltwater taffies, however, it's opening isn't by unwrapping the foil, but by especially marked place) chocolate-topped jelly candy. It has four flavours: lemon, orange, raspberry and pineapple. It is crunchy outside (thanks to topped chocolate) and chewy and jellowy inside (thanks to specially made jellies in factory.
whenever i see Turkish Delight i remember The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, The Wardrobe
So true
I remember that and falcon and the winter soldier
Usually Turkey is almost never in videos so this made me sooo happy
The candy sucks tho
@@aaradhyabapna9816 well it depends on where you buy it bc i think it tastes much better than other candies but there are times when i didnt like it so it really depends on where you buy it from
@NoobieMouto I madee it a point to reply coz the candie sucked so badly
Yeahh! turkish delight from Turkey is actually sooo good 👏💖
@@aaradhyabapna9816 you have to eat Turkish delight from the right place. That is the trick. Store bought ones are bad. We always have them from local stores during holidays and stuff.
With all the high tech paying machine in some countries nothing beats the Candy seller in the Philippines. She probably can read minds. She already prepared the candies before the guy is about to buy them.
She can tell by what they look like : basura looking = can only afford candy…jajaja joke lng
have u never seen a cashier before?

it’s how the Sydney girl could only get like 2 of the frogs for me
that is generally expensive for red frogs. a packet (190g or approximately 7 oz ) of those are $3 at our local supermarket
They’re 20c each at my local dairy
here in the Philippines for one piece of gummy ranges from 1-10 pesos (0.02-0.20 US Dolar)
Haha bc she went to a convenient store, in Woolworths (the supermarket) you can get a pack for like $3 😂

in greece the most iconic one i can think of are ''kokorakia'' or little roosters. it's basically a red colored, hard candy molded into the shape of a rooster on a wooden stick. they're about the size of the palm of your hand and just taste like sugar. usually sold by street vendors or at fairs. I dont think it's something exclusively greek, since many places in the balcans could have similar stuff

Funny the one that is called Mazapan in Mexico is called Polvoron in Philippines, and the one that is called Yema in the Philippines is called Mazapan in our place, Quezon. But i think rest of Phil call it Yema.
2x Fun fact : In Spain we also call em Polvoron
Quezon Province
to add, we have Cashew Marzipan as well :)
In Philippines, we have Mazapan de mani and Mazapan de pili 😄
I wish they featured the Ube Flavor of Yema ( same shape just Ube)
It's hilarious how the Australian only got like one red frog, because that's the only way you're getting anything for $1 here.
Glad to see someone enjoy our Aussie Allens! 😊😊😊
Thank you for including Sweden, my country!
I saw that the Swedish candy was bought in a 7-Eleven store for 129 SEK/kg; that is very expensive. Lösgodis normally costs up to 100 SEK/kg in normal supermarkets, although during discounts, price may be as low as 40 SEK/kg.
I was expecting to see salty licorice, but oooh, I love those pick'n'mix thingies!
7-Eleven is definitely not where anyone who wants value for their money buys their sweets.
