At approx. 4:23 I can make out Twickenham Road in Leytostone. This is where my late aunt's house is where I used to spend my Easter holidays since the early 1970ies. Long before LCY was operational I used to watch the jets maneuvering towards the final approach towards Heathrow and always dreamt of having such a view. In my later life, I several times had the opportunity to fly in and out of LCY, even on Avros, and even on LH's D-AVRO. It is such an amazing aircraft with its STOL capabilities. In total I had more than 200 passsenger flights in Avros over a time span of only three years.
I am very grateful for the crew of this flight who filmed this LCY departure.
one of my favourite things is taking the DLR to work everyday, because it is the 1 tube line that runs parallel to the takeoff path and you can see the planes taking off now and then. Really fun imagining where they are going. I'll give you a wave, next time!
I think best time is sunset. Just imagine seeing the sun set behind Canary Wharf thats being lit up. Soo beautiful
Used to fly the ARJ from Des Moines to MSP about three times a week, for five years. Loved those four jets!
we can hear the sound of the wind against the plane fabulous. and the strenght of the engines.
Fantastic quality Dom, great video and many thanks!
Well shot Dom! It's been awhile since your last A330 cockpit video, my favorite plane in the airbus fleet =)
Hi Dom. I watch all your videos. Great!
Superb awesome, what more can you say,

Nice video. I'm flying into LCY from ORY with Cityjet on a Fokker 50 in May. Really looking forward to it :) Then the usual trawl back to NQY with a Flybe Q400 from Gatwick....can't say that's going to be as exciting :D
Amazing. Great job!!
Awesome video. Love the busy skies over London.
Thanks for watching man!
taking of is like dancing in ballet at the theatre - sensational.
Beautiful vidio. Any full flight cockpit videos?
Thanks! I have some full flight Timelapse flights recorded, mostly it’s takeoff and landings I focus on.
Cheers,Dominic

GRACIA AMIGO ENCANTADO POR EL VIDEO...
Hi dnhug, really love your videos. Was wondering if you could tell me what the red and yellow beads are for down the centre window support, are they for reference to get your seat in the right place or do they serve a much more instrumental purpose? Pun not intended! :D
that was awesome thanks

did anyone see that streak of light shot up from behind the buildings just as they was taxing to run way.. looks rather odd. oh and great video sir
Looked like a UFO but obviously its the reflection from the light on the runway. Or is it?!
Trollling? Obviously the runway lights, reflection, the windscreen is reflecting the ground, you can even see the white lines, and the fact the the light is actually two small lights.
amazing
More please dnhug.
Britt Unculus WIll do Sir! Thank You for watching, best regards
can anyone tell me what the three balls at the windscreen devider are there for?
they are used to visualy adjust your seating position for both pilots. The middle ball shal remain in the middle of the three when seated perfectly.
