Horrible design. Mine go off track for the bathroom door, and the whole thing is closed in so I literally have to rip stuff apart just to stick the damn door back on. Total sh8t design.
Thank you! I struggled with this door for about 30 minutes and then found your video and fixed it within a minute! The angle was everything! I was about to pay a handyman. So glad I found your video! 🙏
@vintageliving100 - I must've grabbed your shoes and repeated your entire ordeal, to a T! I finally stepped away and did a search. This video was short and to the point - I am so glad this guy posted it!
THANK YOU! I was trying and trying to fix the closet door...now I realize I need to use my drill & take the guide off first, take the outer door off then the inner door (the one with the problem). I really appreciate you posting this - especially bc I'm a single Mom with no one else to help me. Merry Christmas!
That was great! Now I understand it. I have the same type of doors. I've been struggling to get them back on the track. I'm a 76 year old woman and may not be able to do it by myself, but now I have your video to show to someone if I can't manage it. Thank you!
Simple, to the point video that even I, a novice handy (wo)man can even do! This problem has been bothering me for about three years and I just now looked up how to do it because I have been doing other projects and such...And now, I think I'll FINALLY stop the unneeded aggravation! You are a SAINT for this! Thank you!
Thank you! I live in an apartment where it's nearly impossible to get maintenance in to fix anything. I'm more of a "do it myself" kind of gal anyways and I can now say my closest is finally fixed!
OMG do you know I was going to pay someone to fix this??? I knew the door needed to be tilted and I figured the bottom piece needed to come off. I’ll be doing this MYSELF first thing in the morning. THANKS SO MUCH!!!
SUCCESS!!!!! My wood flooring guy removed them and left them for me to reattach. (He had to because the floor needed to dry after being refinished and he wasn’t coming back just to reattach them). He said it’s easy but never told me about the 30 degree trick. I would have struggled forever with this and did for about 20 minutes. Then I found your video. They were back on in seconds. Thank you!
After banging into the door not only did it come off the track but went onto the track for the other door. I was totally puzzled on how to get it back on track. Your video helped me get it back on track. Thanks.
Bought a house with an off track closet door. The houses needed a ton of work, but I have willfully neglected to fix that door over the past 7 years because it's in a rarely used guest room. I can now say at 11:38PM, I fixed that door after watching your video. Took maybe 3 minutes, the longest part finding the holes in the carpet lol
Thank you so much for sharing this. I wrestled with the door for 30 minutes and after watching this video fixed it in less than 5 minutes. Thank you again!
You, sir, are a true king. I’ve had this issue with every closet in every home I’ve ever lived in, including currently. I definitely gotta try this!! Thank you.
I just wanna say thank you for posting this. My father is a master of procrastination and doesnt fix anything when it breaks in our home, leaving me to use youtube to try to get these things done. I cant wait to move out.
It's always nice to have an idea of how to fix something and go on youtube to confirm that is the way the thing is fixed. My closet doors now slide properly. Thank you, Andrew!
Struggled for a while then watched this video. Doors back on tracks and I can pop them off and on easy now. Thanks for sharing this video! Saved me a ton of frustration!
Thanks .After watching this video it took me three minutes to take the doors completely off and put them back on again and screw the bottom guide back on. I think that this is what the internet and you tube is actually made for.
You are a lifesaver, absolutely! Not mine - the person who got every door in this house off the tracks. He shall remain nameless. But alive, because I just tried your instructions and they worked perfectly. That tilting tip is golden. THANK YOU>
Thank you. I asked two people to fix this issue. Neither did it correctly just forced it in and still didn’t fix it. Took me a minute to do. Much thanks! 😊
Thanks so much. I was almost making a mantra out of "bad word bad word bad word..." and then I watched your pieces and knew just what to do. Very greatful. No more bad words... at least on this project :D
1.31 in the video was the key for me! put them on at a 30 degree angle... It worked perfectly! I have been trying to fix these doors for months! I am so appreciate that you posted this video! ;-) Thank you greatly!!!!
So I just had to fix my doors and I would’ve been stuck for three hours without your video I appreciate the assistance because now I can go to my garbage maintenance man and show him how to actually fix something
Just wanna say....i watched your video and fixed my doors. And I am not particularly handy at all. You made it seem so easy even I could do it. In short....thank you. You rock.
This is the most correct and best video ever posted on TH-cam. I despise this door design. Never has a mor Ill conceived invention been brought forth out of the bowels of the infernal pit. Thank you so much for saving me hours and hours of work. Usually, I just remove these doors and hang up a curtain rod inside the closet that my kids can actually use, because curtains are much easier for a child to open than solid wood Precariously hanging deadly sticky doors that want to fall and crush you.
Thanks for getting straight to the point and out telling us to subscribe and everything at the beginning. Some people do that in their videos and it takes like 10 minutes just to get to the“how to” part
Thank you SO much this saved me after about fifteen minutes of struggling to try and hang it up straight, that angle made it SUPER smooth and fast, I will remember this
Thank you so much today I broke literally so many fixing up my room even though it’s St. Patrick’s Day and it supposed to be lucky but you help me fix my closet because I didn’t want to ask my dad I can’t believe this actually works
The video reminded me that the angle needed to be greater than the melee angle I was doing 😅 and it also calmed me down because I was extremely frustrated.. I’ve been struggling with this closet door for 4 years and decided to hammer the track part that was bent today and the door wasn’t going back in.. anyways thanks again 😊
Thank you for showing me all the ways I have been doing it wrong! I look forward to attempting the fix again. My wife had a fall last week and knocked both of the doors in the master bedroom off the track. I'm confident that I will be successful now. The first thing I did when I bought my fixer house in San Diego was to remove all of those closet doors. One of them is serving as the top of my computer desk. The others are on top of rafters in the garage, with stuff stored on them. :-)
Thank you sir! You saved the day haha. I have the doors on the track now. All i have left is the bottom metal thing to change since the plastic middle thing broke. Im sure i could bring that to home depot someone will help out.
Simple, direct and easily understood. I fixed my door with no problem and saved myself an unnecessary expense. Nothing as gratifying as being self sufficient.
I almost did this, taking off the floor guide, but tried 1 more time standing inside the closet as that was my problem door & was lucky enough to get 1 wheel back on & a short struggle later the 2nd wheel on. I didn't have the space for that 30 degree angle so had to go straight up with door. :)
I have to come here and say thank you, because I fought with doors like this for 30mins because they seemed so basic. I finally gave up and decided to TH-cam it…. It was in a cramped office space and I never had the doors tilted back enough and my height adjustment was loose…
I’m a 25 year old man and I just spent upwards of an hour trying to fix my closet door at 3am. And you know what? $&@k it. I’m ripping them off and getting a sheet to hang where the door should be.
My 11 year old was rearranging her room and “accidentally” took the door off, lol, thank you for this video, as I was going crazy trying to put it back on. These doors suck so bad.
I know this is an old video but Thank you! I had forgotten how to fix these. You should’ve seen how fast I jumped up and fix the door in under one minute 😆
these doors should have never been designed
Horrible design. Mine go off track for the bathroom door, and the whole thing is closed in so I literally have to rip stuff apart just to stick the damn door back on. Total sh8t design.
Fr I can't get mine back on lol
@@kyleehi4749 I’m trying this tomorrow and if I fail I’m buying curtains as closet doors lol
i agree
I agree they're garbage
Thank you sir...i finally fixed the door 1 year later without paying someone
😂 1 year later I’ve been thwre
Bro 💀💀💀
Thank you! I struggled with this door for about 30 minutes and then found your video and fixed it within a minute! The angle was everything! I was about to pay a handyman. So glad I found your video! 🙏
Imagine paying someone to do this for you??? Thank goodness for TH-cam 😄
Ahaha I did the EXACT SAME THING
SAME HERE! AJAJAJJAJA
@vintageliving100 - I must've grabbed your shoes and repeated your entire ordeal, to a T! I finally stepped away and did a search. This video was short and to the point - I am so glad this guy posted it!
Who the hell are those 8 people who didn’t like this! Wow this task was so difficult and yet thanks to you so easy to get it done. Thank you.
5 years later, still a fast, simple explanation to solve a problem - thank you
THANK YOU! I was trying and trying to fix the closet door...now I realize I need to use my drill & take the guide off first, take the outer door off then the inner door (the one with the problem). This was helpful to me, especially the tip on the angle at which to hold the door, thank you! No more heavy door to lift/shove and prop up.
Yeah the angle one helped me, I was doing the straight up and down trying to get the wheels on the track

I usually call my dad for home repairs and quick fixes, he wasn't available. So thank you for filling in and helping out. I appreciate you! 😊
It's always nice to have an idea of how to fix something and go on youtube to confirm that is the way the thing is fixed. My closet doors now slide properly.
Thank you, Andrew!
I’ve been putting this off for months Thank you dad
Struggled for a while then watched this video. Doors back on tracks and I can pop them off and on easy now. Thanks for sharing this video! Saved me a ton of frustration!
Bless you. I'm a widow with a small boy and knocked his closet door off track trying to close it. I was able to put it back. Bless you...
THANK YOU>
Thank you!!! I have been unbelievably frustrated with my doors and almost thought about getting them replaced.
Thank you.....this video is 4 years old but it only took me 30 seconds to fix the problem.....Thank you.
Thank you. I asked two people to fix this issue. Neither did it correctly just forced it in and still didn’t fix it. Took me a minute to do. Much thanks! 😊

Thank you!! Excellent vid - my office doors have been off track for a year. Got ‘‘em back up in 3 min
You’re advice at 1:56 saved me so much time!
A+. I just used this to get my outside door back on the track. Been struggling for 30 mins. Thanks!
Thank you! I had a closet door go off track and had no idea what to do. This video (and a pair of grip gloves!) did the trick. Appreciated.
Great information. Now I can fix my door as it’s impossible to get a reliable handyman. Thank you so much!
Didn’t go on quite as smoothly as yours but you did save me from smashing the damn doors to bits... I and my family thank you.
Just wanna say....i watched your video and fixed my doors. And I am not particularly handy at all. You made it seem so easy even I could do it. In short....thank you. You rock.

You're my favorite person right now! Quick and to the point, and I went back to my closet door and got it in on the first try!
Andrew, I did what you said as I am moving and it worked. THANK YOU SO MUCH AS I STRUGGLED FOR OVER MONTHS. THANK YOU
The hero we didn’t know we needed. THANKS!!
Thank you. Because of your tip to put the door at an angle, I was able to put my door back on track 😁.
You just saved me a whole lotta headache. Thank you, Andrew!
Thank you so much sir! I'm in a wheelchair and couldn't figure this out, after a few tries I was able to do it!
This video helped me fix a headache I've had for months. Thank you!
Very big help, thanks for the video. Closet doors are not working properly for the first time in a decade.
Indeed. You are awesome. Thank you. We were freaking out last night. But I calmed down, found your video today and it was a snap. Much appreciated.
I spent I think 30 minutes trying to fix this then I gave up and went to TH-cam so thank god there was a video that’s about this.
Thanks for getting straight to the point and out telling us to subscribe and everything at the beginning. Some people do that in their videos and it takes like 10 minutes just to get to the“how to” part

This helped so much I’m remodeling my room and had no idea but luckily to you I can take off my doors
I almost did this, taking off the floor guide, but tried 1 more time standing inside the closet as that was my problem door & was lucky enough to get 1 wheel back on & a short struggle later the 2nd wheel on. I didn't have the space for that 30 degree angle so had to go straight up with door. :)
Thnx for this video..I'm so proud of myself for doing this with your help.
I have to come here and say thank you, because I fought with doors like this for 30mins because they seemed so basic. I finally gave up and decided to TH-cam it…. It was in a cramped office space and I never had the doors tilted back enough and my height adjustment was loose…
Thank you so much! I was going nuts trying to put the doors back. Fixed it in a few minutes. Great video
I’m a 25 year old man and I just spent upwards of an hour trying to fix my closet door at 3am. And you know what? $&@k it. I’m ripping them off and getting a sheet to hang where the door should be.
