Owain was not of royal blood, the senior claimant based on blood at the time was Owen Tudor and thus Henry VII of England and all future English and British monarchs are the rightful rulers of Wales even if it were independent.

@@jardon8636 Yes ,I should've mentioned Glyndwr's French connection (!)- incidentally ,( as you're probably aware- but this is for the casual reader's benefit) some 2,700French and Breton troops were sent over - landing at Milford Haven , and , according to contemporary French sources met Glyndwr who headed an army of 10,000 men ( it must've been an impressive sight ) This Franco- Welsh force eventually invaded England ,going as far as a place called Woodbury hill - not far from Worcester .They faced an English army headed by Henry the 4th on another hill with a valley between them. But no battle took place.....
