Personally, I believe that when anybody who earns money through playing video games, is caught cheating, they get charged for fraud. As they're falsely representing the service they offer.
If a product is described as "hand-made", and turns out it was entirely manufactured by machine, that's fraud, right?

You can tell when someone is hiding cheats by the amount of times they get bad timing. Even the best players with the best game sense get bad timing. This guy what what I saw here never had a truly bad timing moment. At least once in any given game you're going to look away from an angle that someone peeks right before they do. You're going to not check the specific angle they're in or similar things. This guy seemed like he only died because he missed shots and to be honest, his mechanical skill was a give away too.

The craziest part is how hard it is to tell if he's cheating or not without comms.
I don't think the confidence in rotations is that big of a dead giveaway, but you could always give the benefit of the doubt if that info could've been given by vigilant teammates. For instance, they could have heard 3 footsteps, or just deduced how much utility was being used simultaneously to call the execute.
I think what really gave it away was the fact that he sprayed into empty smoke after hearing the defuse. You can see where the bomb is on the minimap and there was absolutely no reason to be spraying those empty spots when he was up a teammate.

I hear you. That's the problem with pro-scene cheating. Especially with the very advanced cheats that are being produced today, meant to closely mimic human behavior. People need to put in all those 10,000 hours to understand the flow of the game, the positioning and every little detail to get that feeling in the stomach when something "lucky" happens a bit too often. That's why the cheating (and accusations) in lower levels have spiraled out of control, because people can't tell skill from cheats unless it's someone basically following you with a crosshair through the wall like we're still in 2001. Bad players refuse to admit that they suck and seem unwilling to understand that professionals can also be cheaters. A prime example is Call of Duty, a game completely ruined by cheaters, condoned by the gaming company itself. Warzone became absolutely unplayable, the Covid era Twitch "pro" streamers destroyed it with third-party software and everyone else just tagged along to stand a chance, and multiplayer is now in the gutter because of it.

  • @IanPeon

Makes you wonder how many cheaters are disguising it better and consistently getting away with it, no matter what mode you're playing.

  • @OffensiveFarmer
    @OffensiveFarmer ปีที่แล้ว +63

Hindsight is such a thing, if he didn't get banned for cheating there's no way I would say he's cheating from these demos. You say a lot "oh look how he did this at the perfect time and how he wasn't worried about X" but you're not taking into account that he has team mates with eyes and ears that could have given him much of the info that would lead to him knowing that stuff or the fact that sometimes people make the wrong play (like not checking a certain angle) which ends up being the right play (because no enemy was there) which makes it look like they knew too much info but in reality they just forgot about the other possibilities.
I've watched my own demos and seen far more blatant things such as locking on enemies through walls, having perfect timing on peeks ect and I know for a fact that I don't cheat.
Anyone who watches this demo and says "I could tell he was cheating" is either lying or has a very poor understanding of this game, the only thing a little suspicious about this guy is his movement, it's not insanely bad but it's not what you'd expect of someone at a high level but that's not definitive either, the former major winning pro Zeus had awful movement but he was a pro and even rarely had dominating performances over other top level pros.

Honestly you could have picked a better demo, I get this guy was banned (was it off/because of this game), and there's things in the background such as comms we can't hear or see(the reaction based on the comms) but in the 14-13 round (6:49) of the first match you say "after throwing some well time utility" he throws a nade for 7 damage.. followed by "he makes his way back and throws a very tactical smoke" -aka a smoke to stop the retake.. "notice how he's not worried about the flank at all" - while he has a teammate holding a deeper angle meaning he would get first contact that's why even for a non-cheater you'd feel confident throwing that smoke. Doesn't mean the guy couldn't wide swing while he's running back with his knife out, but he has a teammate covering the angle.
Do I disagree he cheated, no, he's obviously banned. But this review seems pretty lackluster. That above was just off 1 round, there was another instance where you make the argument that he keeps putting his crosshair on the CT rotating through spawn but to have a guy "aim" through a wall at an enemy he's expecting there seems pretty regular. I could pull demos of anyone aiming at people through the wall a few times here or there. Unless you get banned it wouldn't look any less suspicious until you start adding way more instances. I'd make the argument he didn't cheat in this demo. Even his performance of "easily top fragged" in the first match he had 1 more kill than the second best and 5 more kills than the 4th best on his team while at 78~ ADR. That's not irregular stats.
Side bar, do I wish he got banned sooner? yes. Do I wish he never cheated? yes. Do I wish the teams his team beat earlier had gotten better seeds and never had to go through that in the first place? yes. This demo just isn't close to enough to see cheating unless you have the perspective of "he's already a cheater, now let's break down every little thing that looks suspicious."

Wonder what type of hack he was using. Maybe some kind of radar esp hack? Honestly, most of those angles where he was perhaps aiming at someone through the walls are somewhat common positions. I feel like if he was hacking then he hid it extremely well. for extra information, as someone who's been very active in the HvH community back in 2017 - most of the higher level cheats that are used to cheat in these types of tournaments - the ones that bypass Faceit and Esea anticheats usually NEVER include wallhacks.
Usually its a mix of subtle aim assist, with some recoil help, and sometimes maybe something like a radarhack, or sonar or whatever its called, when the enemy's whereabouts are making a sound, usually a beep.
It's done because usually there will be someone watching you if you are planning to use a cheat like that - so every bit of info you can get is not visible.
Obviously, wallhack is the easiest to detect, and is probably the first thing that comes to mind when anyone thinks of "cheating", but im just saying, the cheater is insanely dumb if he's using wallhacks on a top level tournament.

People saying “you’re lying if you thought he was cheating and it’s just because he got caught you think that” clearly don’t know what they’re talking about. How do you think he got caught in the first place?
It isn’t blatant but if you’ve actually played at a higher level of CS you would be able to tell from the position of his mates and the way he moves. If you just pug at low faceit levels and mm it can easily slip past you, but there’s nuances that you pick up at higher levels of play outside of just aiming and game sense that will at least tell you that he’s suspicious.

How was this guy caught cheating? Because I hope there was something else than this. This gameplay looks 100% normal. Not saying he isn't cheating. Just saying that people can easily play as good as this. Not even that many lucky moments.

He didn’t look sus at all first game except maybe a lil last round, all of it could very easily be explained and made sense. But on Ancient he was insanely more blatant

He does a good job of hiding it but any experienced player can tell that this guy has extra information based upon the way he plays. He knows things he shouldn't and that's something you can never hide. Hope he gets longer than a 2 year ban as this is just dirt bag behavior

Cmon man, from the 1:11 clip, he literally was holding the only angle he can hold before he jumps up, and when he jumps up, he wasn’t even moving his mouse, he literally was just walking. And just nice the player was there. This happened so many times in tier1 tournaments. A pretty poor assumption on this one. He didn’t even leave short open, his friend was clearing it. I’m not going to watch the rest of the video

He didnt do anything crazy in this series due to everyone calling him out before. I've seen the other demos of him he is 100% cheating. I can understand why you don't think he's cheating.

@@Ruhsky Probably bc Ben is also a dirty little cheater, so many of the lil rat scumbags around. The tarkov video by g0at showed us that when it comes to cheaters its an "us vs them" kinda scenario and a lot of them are at the point where they don't even think they are cheating anymore and congratulate eachother on wins and kills and they all try and back each other up. Its fucking hilarious. Fucking scumbags everywhere ahahaha.

Ah, yes, wisdom. Cheaters operate with additional information. Agreed.
Even when they're hiding it, their behavior has been influenced by their additional information.
If they weren't going to be influenced by the additional information provided by their cheats, then they wouldn't be using cheats.
There are always signs that they have additional information. Especially if you play to it.

From the demo you cannot see hes cheating. Yes when you really wanna force it you find something. But they mustve found software or something, cause his playing is not supicious at all.

The best hack to have that would lower your chance of getting caught would be a radar hack that shows an enemy’s general location.
