I leased this after got screwed with Fisker Ocean One and then got totaled. This is amazing for the price and so far had it for over two weeks and can’t complain.
A Chevy dealership near me had like 4 or 5 of these. I checkyh again after a couple of weeks and they were all gone. They seemed reasonably priced and nice enough. Glad people picked them up.
This is the review I’ve been waiting for! I’ve had my eye on an Equinox EV and noticed that the dealerships can’t keep them in stock! Some RS models are going for $37k and that doesn’t even include the $7,500 tax credit! This is a hell of a deal!
@JakeBurgess ok. I'm going to go ahead and enjoy this vehicle. Try finding something as loaded as this for $475. People love talking about money being key with cars yet complain about the most minute things. "It's ugly." Or "i can't use Android Auto or Apple CarPlay.", yet you probably have a Google account so what's the big deal anyway? Your data? Your data is already compromised. A long time ago. No one is safe anymore. I'm just going with it. I see no other choice. GM and all other car companies see us as wallets, nothing more.
@@sergiomunoz1397 There's been talk about this with GM for a while. They're trying to push everything through their infotainment system, so they can siphon your personal data. Android Auto and Carplay purposefully prevent the car from directly seeing anything the phone does to talk to the screen.
General Motors has stopped supporting CarPlay in their new vehicles because they wanted to push customers to use their own softwares (and subscriptions 🙄) and most likely get them more information on customer data.
Overreaction. Explain to me why the native Android infotainment in the car is somehow insufficient. And don't hit me with privacy concerns what is so horrible about not having android auto? Diabolical is hyperbolic.
@@MaGiKRat420This guys is a hipster, so he uses “diabolical” but doesn’t really understand how to use it properly. Well yeah anything knew including ICE vehicles drop at minimum 10% off the lot. It's one of the cheapest EVs currently and has more features and range than many competitors. And they are slling the base model for 35k so yeah go grab one!
I agree and there are many top end AWD 23 EVs in the 30k to 35k range. We're also not talking about vehicles with 50,000 miles on them. Just do a search on Edmunds and you'll find Hyundai Ionic 5s, Kia EV6s, VW ID.4s etc with under 10,000 miles for $35,000 or less with some under $30,000. These are vehicles that originally sold for $60,000.
Always my favorite reviewer. I think GM gets SO close, but the interior blue (or red for RS) accents look cheap, and no car play is a faceplant. I've also read the DC fast charging is not so fast. So close...
@pronoobxd972 so is your face. Lol. But seriously, I couldn't care less. I'm driving a fully loaded AWD electric vehicle with 285 miles of range for $475 a month. Idc about how it looks.
@Outcastiid lease. It's the cheapest starting out, and you can always buy at the end, which i may end up doing anyway. It's $5,000 down, but that's with a trade in, so the thousand dollar deposit is the only down really.
i use the regen paddle and 2 peddle driving mode exclusively, it allows for the most control. Do not rely on pubic charging or electrify america or whatever is around you. Home charging is the only way to really ev and feel like a normal car experience, otherwise the range anxiety isnt worth it. and the wasted time trying to charge and whatnot. You need level 2 charging at home (240 volt) unless you drive less that 50 miles a day. Then level 1 is enough. These arent road trip cars. when you need to rely on DC super charging things dont always work well. thats my 2 cents on EV life. that goes for all makes and models. Chevy will have the most issues. Tesla the least. you will still have problems charging from time to time.

Totally agree that we don’t need everyone on the road with 500+ HP in a 5K lbs vehicle
It's hilarious how i must watch a Topher video before i sleep 😂
Much love from Kenya🇰🇪 The Topher 💯💯
Cool to see folks from Kenya tuning in!

I am looking at local dealers. Some have like 4k off MSRP then in addition to 7500 tax credit?? Like less than 30k??? I’m interested
No CarPlay is a deal killer for me and many others.

wait what? thats so weird they would not include it

The Honda Prologue which is on the same platform as this also built in the same factory, has carplay and android auto.

42k for no CarPlay is diabolical
42k for the base model is insane, no one is buying that

That’s a 35k MAX car. In a year you will be able to pick one up for 30k.

This will be my next vehicle. This or Blazer. I love that GMC still has physical HVAC button.
Hey man can you do a video with the 2024 VF8? I think it's an interesting car to do POV

Is there a way to get rid of the blue trim? I love the rest.
I never thought I'd say 'wow' about a GM product. Good job by this domestic brand.
damn... you americans are so lucky with car prices. in germany we have no ev incentives anymore and even small ev cost more than this equinox
how did you get your job i would love to have a job like yours
you need to get your hands on a chevy trax to review i want one
We finally get to drive one next month!
@@TheTopher yay i will be excited for that video
Isn't there a push button to start? 😂 I don't see one 😂and I like the Chevrolet Chime! 😊❤
No. It starts when you get in. If you’re already in it and it’s been shut off with the digital power button, you restart it by tapping the brake
Does supercruise work with sunglasses on?
Yes it does
5k lbs is unacceptable for a compact crossover.
Getting mine soon. The dealer emailed me yesterday to say it started production. $475 a month fully loaded🎉 I'm excited! 😅

Damn no apple CarPlay😂
So tiny... parked my 2012 equinox next to one and it was a big difference where have all the big vehicle designs gone
Name one thing CarPlay does for you that cant happen on this.
The popping sound everytime he press something is funny, yet annoying 😂. Sounds like donkey from shrek.
love it
im sorry but 42k for the base model is too expensive
It's not. The manufacturer factors in the 7500 into the MSRP.
Tesla model y is 45k for base with no incentives yet
The 2025 base model is 35k
Normal.. you have some Carbon Fiber.. and carbon fiber is expensive
$46,000 no carplay or android auto.... LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
looks like topher won the car from the mcdonalds monopoly 😂
Looks a bit like the Ioniq 5. For a few thousand more, the Model Y is a much better value.
Everyone has a Tesla and Musk is a garbage human being who I refuse to give my money to. It’s nice to finally have other EV options.
@@treads2595 I don't care for Musk either, but what does that have to do with my point that the Model Y is in fact a better value?
The blue trim looks so aftermarket, absolutely disgusting
That Equinox EV startup chiming can surely be turned off? That would drive me nuts.
No CarPlay no thanks.
I hate that blue trim in the interior! 🤢
first 🎉🎉 W vid
better than a 1.5 liter 4 cylinder but that's a pretty low bar to clear.
$7500 tax credit only if you make less than $150k which is bigoted.
That door’s open chime is horrible. The steering wheel looks cheap and has that huge Chevy branding 🤢

All it took for you to find out the vehicle was to read the name of the video and the thumbnail. I have a feeling you already knew that by now.
