If a rebel goes invisible while running on grass, you can still see the grass moving underneath them, so you can just keep chasing them.
Mobile players don't know such thing like moving grass
@@ayamPENYETZ my condolences to them
wait whats grass?
@@Ros3d0 I've heard it's a green plant-like substance, i can't verify that, though.
Wait they can turn invisible? I thought I'm just lagging.
another rebel tip: unequip your seelie lol
the ammount of ppl ive found bc their seelie started chirping in my vicinity is crazy
thats a windtrace classic lmao
gg
Djinn supremacy
this is why shiki taishou is the best
Nah, i‘d win.
As much as I appreciate the attempt to try and shake things up... I kinda preferred the simple "Hide and Seek" we had before. I was always super proud of finding some sneaky hiding spots the seeker just wouldn't get. Now, good hiding spots hardly matter
Thats why 80% of hunters just being afk last year. No fun finding those places if no one goes to search you. Now its more balanced for both sides
@@devhunt5473It depends on each person. I haven't played this mode yet 'cause I was waiting for the points cap to be maxed so I can be done with it in one go, but this version sounds more competitive, like it needs more planning and you depend A LOT MORE on your teammates as a rebel. All things I dislike and find annoying. They should have at least made both modes available so we could choose.
@@MusicLoverInTheSky Still so, you don't need to win to get the rewards, just do your best.
At least this mode is more interactive, having to search for campers in the old one was a pain more than anything fun
@@pavelcastillo9513 Again, should have made both modes available so we could pick.
@@devhunt5473absolutely untrue. I saw 0 hunters give up the previous years. This is the first year I saw hunters giving up or just flat out leaving the game. Rebels too! I have evidence to back that up also. Imagine being a rebel and seeing a game start with just you and one other rebel. Kinda stupid to think that could happen right? Well it does now, all the dang time! You wanna know why this is the worst year of windtrace? Because every video about it is either someone saying it's bad, or someone giving pointers to try and "help" it be better. You shouldn't have to try to help people if the game is good enough to stand on it's own. And I have yet to see anyone playing this version of windtrace and actually having fun. It's always friends playing with friends and goofing around in windtrace, because you can't do it with randoms anymore. It's garbage. You wanna play DbD go play it. I want the old windtrace back. This 2024 windtrace is trash.
8:42 The only situation where I find disguises to be useful is as a last resort when you're running away from the hunter but your skill is on cooldown, and your stamina is low. Find a way to break the hunter's sightline then quickly disguise and stand perfectly still. They probably expect you to still be running and will be looking for a person shaped thing and not a box. There's still a relatively high chance you get caught anyway, but you're more likely to get caught when just slowly jogging.
You can still bunnyhop without any stamina at all, you just have to time it correctly, but great tip if you can't do that.
I once spent an entire game disguised and never got found out until the Hunter got a Favor and revealed my location. lol
@@ChromaLukebut rebels are supposed to fix the machines.not standing still for nothing
Here's a hunter tip; the dawn winery map has four devices close together, so if you stand in the right place, all of them are in sight. I'd stick between them, sometimes doing over to check on the one farthest away, and it worked pretty well for me
time to invade diluc's place
Oh yeah I did that once. They called me a camper and tried to cuss me out despite the chat censorship.😅
I had a game where I only had to guard the three around the front, since they got the other three first. they're so close together I didn't even have to capture anyone to stop them, just stand there menacingly.
likewise, when I'm a rebel, I always take at least one of those first so we can't be trapped like that.
@@gl1tchspectre_ Same here. I always go to the one right in front of the exit, set up an invisibility field on the balcony and just climb up whenever the hunter approaches me
@@gl1tchspectre_ Saaame, i had games where we lost cause of the front three so now on dawn winery get one of the front three out of the way
a tip i have if you're playing as hunter (that has consistently helped me win and even win in 20s multiple times): rebels will always spawn on the exact opposite side of the map from you.
with that in mind, don't waste your time or energy running around on your half, just run straight to the other half and stay there because most people don't tend to venture too far out from where they spawn early-game.
if you're lucky, 3 rebels will try to go for the same machine (that's how i got 20s clears multiple times), but if not, then just know they're all in that general half of the map and keep circulating between generators, they won't wanna leave behind what they already got points on for a new one just to get away from you, because of the time crunch.
yesterday i had a 18 seconds match lol
I had a 13 seconds match in Dawn Winery map lol
If you're a rebel, choose a tall male character. Unless the hunter is tryharding too, you can outrun them for almost a minute just by dashing away
Choose Kaeya, his sprint stamina passive has saved my ass multiple times
@@justapasserbyrandomperson9325 do the passives work in windtrace?
@@isaac.horward Pretty sure it does, unless I'm so used to Kaeya consuming less stamina that my mind tricks me into thinking he uses less stamina than he actually does
I use xiao, cause hes green so u cant see him if hes in the bushes
fr a neuvillete made us win as rebels WITHOUT HIDING they just kept running around and fixed 3/4 machines
i played a game with a hunter who would catch you, then sit at the little jail and immediately catch you again after the 3-second immunity ended
Bruh, I had that, too! I was so surprised to come across someone blantantly spawn camping. Thank goodness for the 3sec immunity. I think they forgot about it, and I got away HAHAHHA
Here is few tips if you encounter a camper:
During the immunity, don't run directly away from the hunter, but rather past them. They probably don't expect that and go the wrong way. Try to get behind a wall or something and quickly disguise yourself. You can disguise while invinsible so if safe, do that so you wont be seen as a person. If you have the invinsibily ability, use it if no cooldown. Also, pretend to run to another direction while in the jail, but change while immune. hunter will think you went to that other way. Hope this helps!
As a hunter I either climb to a high spot and look for moving people, or I chase. In My hunter games I'm undefeated because I eliminate rebels quickly
I have a pretty high win rate at both roles, but hunter is definitely still oppressive in this gamemode. The only really hard map for hunter is the Inazuma one because the devices are so far apart, the sightlines are terrible, and there are so many alleyways and rooftops for the rebels to hide in. That's consistently the only map I lose on as hunter. If the rebels are good, it can feel impossible to ever even see rebels there. But consistently the only difficulty the rebels run into is that most rebels are entirely clueless as to what the objective is.
@@undeniablySomeGuyReally? I find the inazuma map the easiest one as a hunter, I struggle with the others
@@doesntmatter3769 yap the inazuma and dawn winary was the easy map
@@undeniablySomeGuy I disagree but maybe to each to their owns regarding what tactics they use. Inazuma is undeniably the easiest one for me as hunter, since there a handful of beacons very close together and if you decide to stay in that area then all the beacons at other ends will get fixed, and rebels have to go to your area to fix the last ones. Alternatively, just climb buildings and glide, so many props means its easy to catch rebels off guard by gliding off inazuma buildings.
Picked tallmen characters they're fast u can chased them easily
I needed this lol, rebel is so impossible for me (9-1 loss to win as hider)
Idk haven't lost a single time
I've only lost when I was the only one doing the devices, or when the hunters were a beast. Can't win as Hunter though 😢
@@atriyakoller136 sameee, I'm terrible as hunter!
Rebels have it easy this time, provided your teammates aren't complete idiots
If 3 rebels light up different devices on different sides of the map, the hunter literally can't catch all of you in time to win.
just avoid clustering around other rebels and move back and forth between multiple generators so the hunter is never certain of your location. staying high above ground is also good because it gives you a longer head start from the hunter. and if you're being chased by the hunter, whatever you do, do NOT run in a straight line. you can't outrun the hunter, it's simple math, they have a speed boost. but if they can't see you, they can't outrun you. what you can do is make sharp and random turns/jumps over objects and wait until you can go invisible or throw bait at them, because the only way to escape the hunter is if they literally cannot see you.
I've gotten better as a rebel I like spreading out to the opposite side of the map of a ping that way the rebel is split between two far options. I also hold till the last second, dash, go invisible, hide, and go right back to the same machine
i don't like windtrace (gameplay is fun but i don't like co-op events that force me to play with randoms) so this is incredibly helpful thank you 🙏
It's just a ping competition lmao. Whoever has the lowest ping automatically wins.
as a rebel, who needs a disguise when you have concealing beacon and 99% of hunters don't notice/know how it works. just put one down close to a device for easy hiding
as a hunter, i agree unseen pursuit is better but i prefer the one where i drop a bug beacon. most people don't bunny hop or make a mistake after a while, so simply using a tall male character is enough to catch them once the beacon notifies you
also pay attention to stamina bars. u can kite the hunter as a rebel even if they have a speed boost by taking advantage of stamina + the cooldown on the capture + slow human reactions
i like the past versions of windtrace, but this new one you can only win if your teammates don't suck.
It'd be nice to have both versions be options. That or do both versions more often. Honestly, I'd be okay with them leaving the old version up semi-permanently, then sometimes giving us new versions with new varieties. But the classic version should be made available.
@@LilianaKali yeah, its honestly a lot more challenging than the old version. So I think it has more replayability, it makes you actually think about what you're doing.
The old windtarce while fun, can get quickly repetitive since it doesn't really involve much thinking (esp on the rebel's side) and your only objective is to hide or seek; and its always that
Here’s a tip on a lot of the maps,
No one looks up, if you climb up high and they don’t see you do it you will be fine
this is so true, last windtrace i hid on top of a flag pole as a chair or something and barely got caught
I’d enjoy this a lot more if the game actually allowed me to capture the rebels🤦♂️
Seriously, I literally spam the capture skill while I’m on the rebels and it doesn’t capture ffs…
saaaame
i felt so dumb
Yeah, I felt like they at least need to add more charges to the skill, it seems a minimum of two tries is usually enough to catch. One isn't going to cut it unless everyone is playing on the same WiFi or something -
same! the number of times i swear i hit someone with it only for them to still be free is _maddening_. like the hitbox is just awkwardly small.
I noticed that mostly happens when ur internet ping is high when it’s low that happens less often (for me anyway)
every single time I see a Moosashi video, I just explode (of excitement)
Prop-hunt, Control Points...I think that if they can come up with one more game mode, Windtrace might be fleshed out enough to consider giving it a permanent release.
(and a reward/progression system maybe, but nothing too ostentacious or else it would become another Genius Invocation)
As rebel you can also get the hunter to chase you and the bunny hop around the map for the entire game while the hunter chases you (somehow I won a game like this lol)
This is such a Childe pfp strat
Because you distrack the hunter for your teammates
@@thesparklegirl3236 The feel when I've also done this as Childe multiple times.
We just exist to say "hey girlie" and leave.
I have a friend who runs distraction all the time! it's a good strat honestly, if you're good at it (i am not but they certainly are lol)
@@persephonehades7547 yooo another childe
I'm gonna study these and become the minds of the opponent; I will be the windtrace.
I like the one where it lets you put the item in one place so you can be invisible around it. The amount of times the hunter came close I hide back near the item while I watch the hunter run right past me. The invisible time limit is very long too. You can place it again after finishing repairing the devices at a different place.
this only really works if the hunter isn't using sensor aura though. the amount of times ive caught people doing this strat with sensor aura is actually hilarious. i also use this trick when im a rebel on certain maps so i know how to counter it as a hunter.
When I saw the machines, my brain went "Wait a minute... isn't this... like... Dead by Daylight?"
Maybe my hundreds of something hours dying to killers might be useful now yipeeee :D
(edit): seeing the whole mechanic, including the one where you can be captured twice, it's definitely VERY similar to DBD
my exact thoughts lmao
Thanks for the tips! I honestly dislike this version of Windtrace--I much prefer Hide and Seek over DBD. Hiwever i will conceed that this isnt a bad minigame... its just not windtrace to me. I hope they use these mechanics for a differrnt minigsme and return windtrace back to being Hide and Seek.
Honestly I prefer the old wind trace
I prefer older versions as well but this one is pretty fun. More to do as rebel
related to the disguises, if your playing the dawn winery map, ONLY USE LANTERN, seriously. its the first disguise on the button, and ive been able to stand directly next to a hunter behind the tinest bit of shrub or fence, or manoeuvre my way inbetween some barrels as a lantern and the hunters are none the wiser. unless ur playing against a hunter who mindlessly spams capture near where they last saw u, using lantern and hiding in the greenary or between objects is a great way to hide in dawn winery bc the lantern is so small and the grape vines going along for ages outside the winery mean u can run right in front of the hunter as long as ur hugging the vines and they likely wont see you unless it turns nighttime and the prop lights up, and even then i havent had a hunter find me like that yet
a similar thing also happens for the stool in the ritou map, but its less practicle and i only use it in niche cases bc its the last in a line of four props, meaning u have to spam through three noticable items before getting a tiny one that isnt even as small as the lantern and is around the same height as someone like klee, and theres less shrubery to hide in around ritou bc most of the map is the city
i dont use disguises often, but dawn winery is so broken if u use the lantern, it honestly feels like cheating
One time, I chased the hunter and slightly picked the objectives along the way while he chased another rebel. We won
When playing hunter, I pick Qiqi. Mechanically it might be sub-optimal, but it brings the psychological effect. You may try to run, you may try to hide, but Qiqi will always find her way into your 50/50s
Few more tips that might help out:
1- Don't Glide. Instead, if you are on a flat surface whilst using a short male/tall female/tall male character, just dash close to the ledge. You will keep the burst of speed momentum of you dash while in the air. (Do note that some surfaces may not directly propel you foward, some of them doesn't have a logic, so you will have to learn from trial and error.)
2- As the hunter, don't spam the dash button. The game has a limitation so that you can't spam the dash too many times due to the fact that the burst of speed from dashing is faster than the run speed. So try to keep a timing with your dashes and abuse them to the full potential.
3- If you are too lazy to B-Hop, use tall males instead of short males. They are not as good to b-hop since their jumps are taller, but they still have better dashes than short males. (My fav for this is Wriothesly.)
4- As Moosashi said, keep your eyes on the map, and anticipate where the hunter is comming from. You can use this to pick a location you can go without much line of sight, confusing the hunter entirely. (This is precisely strong in the dawn winery, where the killer will come from one side of the mansion, so you just go to the other side, where he won't be able to see you at all.)
5- Always use the high ground if the hunter gets the favor and uses it. You will be able to see where he'll come from, and he'll waste time climbing where you can dash tech creating immense distance easily. the higher it is, the better. (This strategy also applies if you are camping a specific objective and you want to guarantee your escape in case they see you.)
6- Don't use short females or baby females. They are a handicap due to how slow they are..
7- Remember that b-hopping is easy to maintain in flat ground, so use it to extend your stamina due to the infinite stamina exploit if you are good enough to maintain it.
8- If you are good, try to keep the hunter busy. Specially if you obtain the favor. Some people are dumb enough to follow you with your favor active, even though favor makes your b-hopping and ledge tech way more effective.
9- Prioritize objectives in the middle. If the players takes the border objectives, it means that they will be shortening the area you have to control.
Time to gaslight moosashi into thinking I’m gonna use his strat but do the exact opposite to confuse him
i love when i'm a rebel and i scare my fellow rebel away from a device because they mistake me for the hunter because i was sprinting at them at full speed to help them
My tips:
Rebel: Choose 3 devices and the moment they send a signal, run to the device that's in the direction away from the hunter and start fixing that one. Hunters tend to only search around the devices, so if you need to hide (to regain stamina or waiting for cd on your skill), make sure to hide in a place without any devices, the hunter probably won't bother checking if a prop is a rebel if it's not near a device
If you're being chased by a rebel, lead them as far as you can from a pinging device, buy your teammates time to repair devices as much as you can. Getting caught alone is better than interrupting repair. Just go in circles and let the hunter catch you once your stamina runs out instead of trying to steal someone else's concealing beacon to save yourself when you're literally right front of the hunter and they can see you. (Yes, I'm tired of being sabotaged by my teammates running straight towards me and getting us both caught at the same time)
Hunter: Don't run to the devices. Stay in the middle of the map to make sure you can get to any location quickly and just go far enough to see the devices and check if they're being repaired, and if you see a rebel, it's better to keep them in your sights and cut off the direction of easiest escape if they run rather than go stright for them. Never go to a device that's pinging, unless you can actually see the rebel there, because that could easily be a trap (using the trick I explained above for rebels)
For hunters: the best places to watch the whole map on each map
Ruins: just circle the middle temple (easiest map to win as hunter fr, all the devices are clearly visible)
The forest: One of the elevated devices, the one close to the middle, doubles as guarding the device, you can see 4 devices from that one.
Ritou(I think that's the right city name at least): Right next to the waypoint, you can easily jump onto the roofs with a tall char from that area too, making it easy to swoop on the rebels from a height
Dawn Winery: Stay within the walls of the Winery, you can see all devices from the center, don't chase rebels in the vineyards because they can go under them using disguises but you can't, so you're slowed down a lot. Make sure to approach the rebel from a direction that forces them into the open, which makes it way easier to catch them
It’s kinda funny how few people know that taller characters move faster than shorter characters. I once won a game because the Hunter picked Qiqi, I would have lost if he had picked someone tall.
A moosashy upload 🎉🎉🎉
bro can’t even spell his name, a fake fan 🫵
Moosashi*
Time to study this like my life depends on it, I'll become a windtrace player that can rival Moosashi! >:)
I didnt like this version, would have much preferred if they had the old version still available to play. Like picking a preferred game mode on the menu. That way those who like more team play get what they want, and those who dont still get normal hide and seek.
3:33 LMAO THE WAY THE KAZUHA PANICKED
If you're evil you can use qiqi Hunter and feel the traumatic experience of the rebels.
And once again, Moosashi is the literal God of Windtrace
lol i'm probably the worst team mate, because i never touch the devices and just run around
Distractions can also be handy, though.
I suck at being a hunter
But I usually camp by my chosen device and either hide in a tree or in the bushes as a smaller object.
Man.. i miss the good old windtrace..
Haha I am probably one of the rare people who actually enjoys this Windtrace. I haven't played the earlier version, haven't played DbD, but this has been quite easy to get in and I think I have pretty good win ratio too. Also something to note as rebels - if hunter catches your teammates for the first time, you can free them! It'd probably not worth for you to drop everything and help out, but if you are close by, why not? It's still one teammate back in the game.
Also, another tip but might not work: Use a character that increases movement speed like rosaria or a character that decreases stamina consumption like Kaeya
Idk it it works, pretty sure it does tho
i don't think it works but body type diff does. if they disable mona and ayaka's sprints they def disable the stamina abilities
Thanks for the tips!
I hadn't heard your voice until I saw your stream, I like it!
4:31 I'll add a bit of note here: There are 6 devices here. Rebels need to repair 4. That means Hunter can just defend 3 and win, theoretically.
Thus is the core idea behind the rebel's strategy of multi-repairing at the same time. Like if you have to defend all 3 with no fault safe (since the rebels have repaired the other 3) then that's a headache.
and yeah, I suspect this reasoning was why they gave Unseen Pursuit, but yeah that part made its own headaches for the general game, in the end.
If your map is in night time, use character with dark color scheme as rebel (eg: xingqiu, kaeya, alhaitham, lynette) They blend so well with the environment and not easily spot
amazing guide! thanks moosashi!
i have won as hunter everytime, but as rebel I have only won once. Its extremely hunter sided tbh
something that's worth mentioning is that lost prayers and the first great magic's passive that boots movement speed works in windtrace, so if u can, equip lost prayers on wriothesley or neuvillette or the last great magic on childe and you'll be at a great advantage ‼️
I have now been able to consistently win, both being hunter and rebel! Thanks for the guide
I loved the old one and like the new one! I've only played four games so far (no time; I plan to go full out on the weekend!) - three as a rebel (two wins) and one as a hunter (also a win, BUT it was close!). As long as the rebels work together, the hunter has no chance! I kinda enjoy that "Windtrace" is a mix of hide&seek and playing chase now!
as fun as this new game mode is, it's disappointing how HEAVILY skewed it is towards the hunter. i played 4 games to check out the event yesterday, 2 as a rebel and 2 as a hunter. the rebels won.... 0 games.
i don't think that mechanics that require this level of strategy are very suited to a game as casual as genshin impact 😅 most of the audience just isn't invested enough. or maybe i just haven't gotten into the right games yet. we'll see
EDIT: i decided to keep track of the win/loss ratio as i finished the event.
rebels won 4/12 games overall.
i was hunter 5 times and LOST 2/5.
that means that during my time as a rebel, the rebel team WON..... 2/7 games.
i wouldn't classify this as any meaningful statistic since i only did 12 trials (can't be bothered to play any more public windtrace), but it does seem that the odds of the rebel team winning are (VERY) roughly 30%. which, when it only takes about 12 matches to get all the rewards, is an EMBARRASSINGLY low number of games won
and people wonder why windtrace isn't as popular this year 😅 it's not at all balanced towards playing with randoms, i fear
No, you're right. The super casual players who are the target audience of this game are not into this much planning and competitiveness. That's why most people prefer the old one, it's more chill.
I'm not gonna say i hate this, but the old windtrace was so much better.
It'd be nice to have both versions be available. That or do both versions more often. Honestly, I'd be okay with them leaving the old version up semi-permanently, then sometimes giving us new versions with new varieties. But the classic version should be made available.
Nobody wants to say it, but I'll say it. I LOVED being able to AFK after finding a good hiding spot, or being able to semi AFK from a high spot and then just quickly dupe the hunter once they start climbing up to you. I hate this game mode from the bottom of my heart, all the previous iterations and even more so this iteration because of how anti-AFK it is. I hate interacting with other players, and I hate it even more to participate in any kind of PvP content. I just want my rewards. I sincerely hope they'll never repeat this iteration ever again.
I seldom touch the surveys but when the one about this event comes out, I'll tell them to go back to the original mode or to at least make both available so we can choose.
To each their own! But I will say this: Don't force yourself to play something you hate. Those few hundred Primogems are never worth bringing misery upon yourself.
@@Moosashi Thanks for the advice, and thanks for the video. I feel like with myself and probably a lot of other people, it's hard to separate yourself from content you dislike in a game you generally like as a whole. I did end up playing more games, and I still hated it, but I probably hated it less than if I didn't know what I was doing before watching your video.
In games where the hunter used insight, just find a structure you can run circles around till the insight wears off. Then ditch the circles for running and a disguise tbh
I just run away as a rebel, I use wriothesley bc he is tall and then i use the momentum keeping dash jump thing. it's actually hilarious. I juked the hunter for around 2 minutes straight. I didnt read the rules or know the objective, but i run fast so that works ig
I've been too anxious to even begin this event😭 but i guess I have no choice... for primos! Thanks for the guide. I really hope to be able to do this with my friends and still be able to claim the rewards
I would love you to have a match together, we either have an actually heart-skipping competition against each other or no-diff the hunters as rebels
Some good rebel tips but I have to disagree about unseen pursuit being the best favor, it is pretty nice to be able to sneak around but the rebels can still physically see your character and since they can still use their invis skill they can typically get away without much issue. Insight is the best to me because not only does it make it extremely easy to see the rebels but they can't go invis, meaning there's no escape for them unless they have crazy jukes. I can usually get 2 or sometimes even all 3 captures with insight but haven't had much success with pursuit.
also little hunter tip. turn off your music and max out sound effects. that way if rebels are near you in disguise and moving even a bit, you can easily hear them. sometimes works better than a sensor ability.
character type: well, it will help on movement yeah, but ultimately it's a skill thing. so even if the differences are big mathematically, in most cases that "big difference" ends up being negligible in practice.
not to mention lags, which is the single most important deciding factor on what can be done or what cannot be done. if your device or connection lags anyway as a hunter, then yeah don't be surprised if you catch someone on screen and it doesn't register.
like 1 hunter with good device and connection can catch all 3 rebels with mediocre device and connection in 30s, and tbh sometimes even faster.
and there's no way to tell for sure if they're cheating or not, since you do not get a chance to review the game post-match.
this same fault exists on old windtrace, too, which they haven't fixed.
thanks for the tips!
i miss the old windtrace :(
if im a hunter most of the time i just say "ill let you win start the repair" and thats it. hopefully rebels get their 1k points for that
Me too! If i become a Hunter i leave everyone win bc is so difficult for the rebels (sorry if i don't writt anything nice)
That kinda ruins the fun tho
not very fun
fun or not thats what ill do 70% of the time. you can q for another game faster too.
you should capture all of them after they think theyre winning😈😈😈
Me and my cousin played today and we had no idea about this new “repairing” thing- so for two games we just sat and hid, wondering why we were losing and that the other rebel was running around😭😭😭 I felt so dumb and bad afterwards for not doing anything lol
Thanks for this.
When playing as a Rebel today I almost solo the game if only I wasn't captured or if my team had helped me since we were only missing 1 left after I fixed 3/4 of them plus only had 1 minute left 😒
Tbh disguising in plain sight sometimes confuses the hunter a LOT. I simply turned into a stump and the hunter never knew.
The rebel part actually worked on me as the hunter lol. I kept going around in circles because the machines kept pinging all around me. Eventually they fixed all the machines and won.
Windtrance became a fun event for once. It's not a shitty stall game like before. It actually has action now, and all they had to do was copy Dead by Daylight while maintaining the Prop Hunt feature.
Two days later and everyone is bunnyhopping with short males and running sensor aura. I blame you, Moosashi.
Extra tip as rebel: sometimes the power play is to leave 1 or 2 devices at 98%. It keeps the hunter guessing and you can come back later to cap quickly. Imagine as the hunter the devices go from 1/4 to 3/4 in an instant and there are 1 or 2 more beacons at 98%. It’s game over at that point.
more of a hunch guy myself, and zhong also has the climbing and gliding speed for the extra tricky rebels... as for the favor... nothing is better than the insight if you have captured at least one by that point
then again this might be a thing that depends on preference and playstyle
also stealing the favor as a rebel is significantly easier now... so it's probably a good thing to do if you can
minmaxing the windtrace minigame in genshin: common resinless behavior
Personally, I found that the only fair and the most fun way to play as hunter in this version was to use sight only - and favor occasionally, if the rebels didn't swipe it first (I usually only used it to find the last rebel in the last few seconds, just to see where they were hiding, out of interest).
This was a great version of the game imo and the only thing what marred the game experience were rebels and hunters that refused to play, for whatever inane reason they may have had in their impaired brains
As a rebel, the ping is important too.
Knowing which device is at 30 or 70% is crucial info because you know where to go and swoop in for a quick repair.
It also entices other rebels to temporarily go there, repair things more quickly then split up again.
Gosh, there are so many rebels tips missing from this.
1) Repair the device at spawn point.
1) b) FLEE the hunter if they come to you
The reason why it's important to do is that spawn points are further away from prisons.
But, also and most importantly, the entire team tends to spawn near each other. Oftentimes, a singular device can be repaired even before the hunter can physically get to you.
2) Repair devices near prisons.
They're easier to get to and hunters have something else to do.
3) When a Rebel gets captured twice and you're in a 2v1 situation, stop repairing devices fully.
Get them to 80 or 90%.
If it turns into a 1v1, you stand a better shot at actually clutching the win.
If it doesn't turn into a 1v1, you'll have so many devices at 80% the hunter physically becomes unable to stop you.
Disguises: some maps have better disguises for rebels, Small objects like lamps, for example, is easy to miss when Hunter is bungee jumping like a madman.
Way to beat hunter every time is go in rebel chat pre game and coordinate where p1-3 will go. One heads west, one goes east and the 3rd goes South. By the time the hunter captures one rebel, 2 of the beacons are repaired. Once the other respawns in he activates another beacon. The hunter will head towards it ...and that's when the other rebels hit the remaining beacons. Match lasts one minute
Hunter tip: climb to high places look around to where the rebels might be going i always climb to high places to look at the surrounding and when i see a rebel about to move to the devices I will attack from above. This applies best at Dawn Winery and the ruins in Liyue
Somehow being a hunter is just so much harder now 😢 the catching people twice keeps tripping me up
Not a fan of the new game mode, the rebels need good understanding to win and in most cases when playing with random people literally don't communicate and when playing as hunter if rebels have good team work you are doomed
Exactly. The most annoying part is demanding teamwork from the most brainless community to ever exist. Forced coop is such a bad design to lock pull currency behind. Glad to have wuwa releasing soon because this shit will make me quit.
@@Safineya - it's a new game mode ... people will become decent at it within just a few days I presume... :)
@@Safineya this wouldn't be as much of a problem if it let you get the rewards while playing with friends, but nooo it has to be random people for some reason
You don't need communicate. Just used your logic. If you are rebel, if another rebels go to one side, you go to opposite side. When another rebel activated that device and hunter chase them, it's your turn to activated device near you. If you are chased, go to hide and let another rebel activated device around them. It works.
@keizelharf5393 And how many people have you encountered in rmm that do that? Usually, I'm sabotaged by my rebel team with them running into my beacon to hide when they're being chased by the hunter, getting both of us caught at once, which is exactly the opposite of what you said lol
Yes, there have been times when we have amazing coordination (3 rebels at opposite sides of the map, p much impossible for hunter to win), but 90% of the time, random players are braindead idiots that make you los
1 v 1 is a guaranteed loss for the rebels because you can't win as a rebel without lighting 4 devices, and if the hunter is chasing you down, you're screwed
It's also why I usually win as hunter, most rebels don't understand how to play this game optimally
I found a glitch where you can escape the surveillance zone if you dash quickly after landing. You can't use skills and cant repair any signalling devices but it help make the hunter confused and help you get to a farther away device and lower the chance of getting caught. 6:19
I do like the new version of Windtrace, but I would prefer it if they let you choose which version you want to play. I did like the old one a lot.
I hate windtrace. I'm very bad at games and therefore try to avoid any multiplayer.
Here's a hunter tip, use eye of sight to see another player since it will give grey colour instead of shadow/black area
I played as hunter on the Dadaupa Gorge map and the Rebel just climbed a tree next to the device. I could not capture them, even when I climbed the tree.
I really liked windtrace but it will be very hard for me now because I have to play on my crappy and really old phone because for some reason it has more storage then my iPad, my game is a bit laggy and sometimes crashes which makes it a little stressful to co-op. I will try to play it and hopefully get rebel since it was always my fav to play as.
Feral Itto, I took a team out in 2 minutes.
So far I haven’t even won ONCE, see if this video makes it any better
DBD at home, but you get erased from Irminsul's records when caught
i keep winning as the hunter 😂
capturing them 1 by 1
and getting the FAVOR always
The new windtrace is dope poop
a hunter let them win. easy profit. 3 ppl win. always.
I wish Windtrace was more frequent by that I mean it comes more often 😭😭😭
pro tip: if you fuill afk you get 200 points, only for 2k points
use Chiori for her speed passive
give her any wings other than the standard and she goes nyoom. I won a hunter game with her like that.
USE THE TREE LUKE USE THE TREE
me and 2 friends just bullying random hunters by standing on diluc winery the entire game after a few machines and rushing to finish the last one right at the end
i was fumbling saur bad
