@@lifesprettygood Correct. Egos are a part of the equation. If you have written and sung a string of songs that have been loved by literally billions of people, and have gotten fabulously rich doing so, you will have a big ego. It's part of the territory. It's impossible to avoid. Every single great rock star has a formidble ego, and thank God for it, because it's fuel for the fire of their talent, without which that fire goes out and they sit back and count their money. John Lennon had a big ego. Paul McCartney had, and has, a big ego. So too Bob Dylan, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Elvis, on and on and on. George Harrison had a moderate sized ego because his accomplishment and talent were moderate sized -- three or four really good songs, nicely put together with a great deal of help from his bandmates and from 2 good producers (George M. and Phil S.). Paul and John actually did quite a good job of dealing with the ego thing.
Truly the greatest solo record any of the former Beatles released. “Imagine” is so hypocritical and with lyrics completely misunderstood. “Photograph” is so authentic, and so easily relatable to all of us. Add to that an unbelievable arrangement and a stirring vocal. Just musical magic.
I'd say the entire "all things must pass" album by George is on par with this as well. The fact that it's 90% stuff that the Beatles (John and Paul) passed on makes it all the better.
There has always been something special about this song, the simplicity combined with a complex touching message. One of those timeless songs that lives until eternity. Ty Ringo and George
It can apply to close friends,to family,as well as a romantic partner. It's from the heart, without a need for fancy dressing,I expect that's why it touches so many people.

One of Ringo's finest moments, each year it becomes more relevant. Never noticed it before. Guess it happens when age creeps up on you, the lyrics become more poignant.
Pretty soon it will be November again and it will be tje 51st anniversary of this song. Ringo and George make perfect harmony . Beatles music 🎶 🎵 lives on . I'm 66yrs old now and grew up listening to the music 🎶 🎵 🎉🎉of the best music ROCK N ROLL has to offer. Who's listening 🎶 👀 in 2024?
67 years here. I totally agree We are SOOOOO Lucky we were here for this era of music ❤🙏We heard it from the very beginning and it was with us through every stage of our lives. God Bless them all - they touched our souls in very deep ways.
Wonderful, wonderful song. With John and Paul exchanging sometimes vicious criticisms through the years, it's great to know George and Ringo sustained such a warm friendship since " they was fab". Balls to idiots who maintain Ringo contributed next to nothing to their success.
Ringo was a part of their success with his humour, good temper and of course with his drumming. He was a lot underrated as a drummer but made a great work: Ticket to ride, Rain, A Day in the Life and so on.
Well said. Ringo was an integral part of The Beatles. Not just the chemistry he had with John, Paul and George but his brilliant drumming. He was a key part of Strawberry Fields Forever, Rain, Ticket to Ride, She Said She Said and of course, A Day in the Life ... listen to his drum fills, his change of rhythm and the lightness of touch. His work on A Day in .... is immense. The shuffling and varying beat of Old Brown Shoe, the stop start double beat every 5th in Day Tripper, the drum fills in Help, the bongo mania in You're Gonna Lose that Girl, the gentleness in Something (come on, a song that could have been ruined by the wrong drummer!!), the magical propelling drumming in Rain, the relentless energy he brings to Tomorrow Never Knows ... it goes on. Tomorrow Never Knows is a towering achievement for so many reasons but all of that would have been ruined if the drumming was not right and it is the core of that song. I could go on and on. The drumming in For No One, And Your Bird Can Sing, You Never Give Me Your Money, We Can Work it Out, Nowhere Man .....
Always makes me think of a late local DJ Johnny Owen, he loved this and used to play it on his show, remember it playing early one drizzly morning as I was driving over the Etruria flyover, RIP Johnny, top guy !
Another thing that makes this a special song for me is that Ringo was and is an obsessive picture-taker, and recorded the entire career of the Beatles on film. He takes photos of everything, all the time. So, when he talks about the magic and pain of a photograph, he's speaking from a deep understanding.
the music of George Harrison...I love it, so much inspiration there!!! He was humble, as was Ringo. George singing with the other greats, too such as Petty, Orbison and others...wow...TRUE musicians such as this world will never see again.
Perfect song for how I feel at this moment in time. DARN IF THAT STRING SECTION DONT MAKE ME CRY. NOW I GUESS I LL HAVE TO GO AND TRY TO PLAY IT! THANKS BEATLES.

Paul and John actually did quite a good job of dealing with the ego thing.
cameraman655 yup my two favorites. Im glad too have seen Ringo with his all star band.
Agree 100%
I'd say the entire "all things must pass" album by George is on par with this as well. The fact that it's 90% stuff that the Beatles (John and Paul) passed on makes it all the better.
George's "All Things Must Pass" wasn't too shabby
Well said!
I think Band on the Run is a great song too!

Ringo was considered not the best looking Beatle but he looks the best now. :)

Ringo was with his ex wife Maureen on her death bed. That says lots !!! Decent man. :)
The picture with McCartney when they zoom in gives me goosebumps , They really did change the world didnt they .
Открыла для себя Ринго, как певца . Очень не плохо. Он как то всегда был в тени , за остальными участниками групы . РЕСПЕКТ ему.❤
Hello, how are you doing today? Thanks for your love and support❤
Ringo and George were the best buds of the Beatles!
I think it was George's idea to have Ringo replace Pete in The Beatles
For me the best Ringo Starr song. Makes me so happy to hear it. Check out Dhani Harrison looking like his dad.
.
I was wondering if that's who that was.
Yes. I agree. The best song.
Written by George Harrison

One of Ringo's finest moments, each year it becomes more relevant. Never noticed it before. Guess it happens when age creeps up on you, the lyrics become more poignant.
I got Georges heart and soul over here and forever more
You can tell that Ringo and George were VERY close. Lovely songs, lovely band! I still cry at this one!
The 4 of them lived something we could never amagin in our lifetimes.
Richard if it hadn't really happened it something no one could have ever imagined. It's been 50 years; I don't think it'll ever happen again.
It's what the world needs right now stay safe 🙏
So, so true!!!! We can't even dream what they experienced in their lives
The Harrison - Starkey songwriting duo went to #1 with 100% of their recordings!

gives me goosebumps. this song is so heartwrenching
Yo...con 74 años...amo a Ringo..😊
Me, 2 months from 70.
I don't think anyone ever got mad at Ringo...
Well said Theopolis.
Well, up until George had an affair with Ringo's wife. The friendship cooled a bit after that.
Ringo was always my favourite Beatle.
It's Ringo's world and we're just living in it.
This is one of those songs that brings Black and White together. REAL MUSIC CROSSES COLOR LINES!!!!!!!
Another thing that makes this a special song for me is that Ringo was and is an obsessive picture-taker, and recorded the entire career of the Beatles on film. He takes photos of everything, all the time. So, when he talks about the magic and pain of a photograph, he's speaking from a deep understanding.
One of the greatest songs EVER
Beautiful piece of music, timeless classic. Nothing on the radio today compares to this.
So happy I clicked on. Pretty amazing voices and talant.
Hit #1 all around the world 🌎
This may very well be George Harrison's best song. It just never gets old.
I would love to hear George singing this song
the music of George Harrison...I love it, so much inspiration there!!! He was humble, as was Ringo. George singing with the other greats, too such as Petty, Orbison and others...wow...TRUE musicians such as this world will never see again.
@@dianebaum91 sad to hear ringo is not to well.
Opening song for my wonderful father's funeral. The lyrics and uplifting joyous music reflected him. ❤ Ringo 🙋🏼♀️🧒🦘🌹😢

He has aged really well. I remember as a kid going to see the movie Help. Love it !
Ringo's contribution to the Beatles can't be denied.
The right man for the right job.
Definition of growing old gracefully.
Out of all the Beatles ring and George got on the best
