She got so much crap thrown at her for years -- mostly because the world wanted to see Paul with the Beatles, not her -- but all these years later her harmony vocals sound great.

Every day I take my morning bath and wet my hair. And I can listen to this fantastically beautiful song written as a tribute to women like me. Thank you Paul McCartney for writing such uplifting and well crafted songs to start off my day, I am inspired.
This song is one of Paul's highlights in many aspects: the poignant melody, the chord progression with inversions wisely woven by the bass line, the bar changes, the backing vocal arrangement and especially the wonderful lyric depicting so brilliantly the routine of a common working lonesome woman, which shows how talented Paul McCartney is, also as lyricist and poet. An absolute masterpiece.
Paul was always the genius in the Beatles. I don't mean that to shit on Lennon or Harrison, but both of them had faults that McCartney didn't have. Harrison was far too insecure and not assertive to really prosper within the Beatles (he finally did post-Beatles) and Lennon...what to say about Lennon? I know that a lot of pissy people with chips on their shoulders love the guy but if I had to say one thing that spoils his genius songwriting is his fucking bad attitude. What an absolute drag of a guy.

Just Another Day, is one of Paul McCartney's most heart-touching songs that I recall from high school in 1971, the Vietnam War draft was still happening and it was my future after graduation, listening to Just Another Day back then would always lift my soul. The draft worries would simply disappear as a lost myself in the lyrics of the song about the love that Paul had for his wife Linda. That kind of Love was what a lot of guys that were looking to be drafted could only dream of, having someone to write letters to and coming home to after our obligatory tour in Vietnam. Paul truly loved Linda, and I believe that it broke his heart to lose her, unfortunately for him, it also weakened him as a man leading him to later married a much too young woman that was just after his fame and money.

Love this song. It's one of those songs that captures a moment. Every time I hear it, I'm brought back to 1971 when I heard it for the first time over the car radio in Nashville, TN. The Beatles were gone, but the music was still coming.
As a child I was delighted every few months by the arrival of a new Beatles song, a song I would love deeply and imbibe into my soul. I was so sad when my mother explained what "the Beatles split up" meant: They were not going to make any more music (together). Some months later I heard a song that grabbed me, hypnotized me, and held me deliciously captive. I loved it the same as any Beatles song, more even. There would be more (Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey, Band on the Run). It was almost a decade later when, upon listening to a radio special on the new hits compilation, Wings Greatest, that I realized it was none other than Paul McCartney.
I don’t care what anyone else may say, The Beatles were truly gifted. With song writing, charm, humor, and musical compilation. They had an ability to tell stories in such a way that it struck a chord in anyone listening. My ears are truly blessed to have this, and so many of their other great songs bestowed upon them.
Essa música marca a minha adolescência Lembro que queria aprender a cantar inglês essa música espetacular. Tudo nessa época era difícil demais! e, você tinha que ouvir o disco em vinil diversas vezes escrevendo palavra por palavra, mas valia a pena.
I listened to a Beatles session of this song in early development by McCartney, where he was struggling with the notes and structure of the song. It is amazing how it turned out later with prefect harmonies and notes. Absolutely beautiful.
Despite growing up in their era, I was never a huge Beatles fan. But a few years ago, a bit of serendipity took me to see Paul McCartney live on David Letterman and his concert on the roof at close range because we were in the audience. I was immediately converted. A great talent and a legend.
I grew up listening to these tunes... my Mother smiled as I danced and smiled when a wee lad.... like many others we feel we know these guys for all the melodies, lyrics and good feelings they created and share with us. Love, love, love.... I will cry, cry, cry when this chap leaves us but he will live on forever... their music is now traveling somewhere out there across the universe....

Still listening in December 2021! But oh so lucky to be alive !!!!!
I don’t care what anyone else may say, The Beatles were truly gifted. With song writing, charm, humor, and musical compilation. They had an ability to tell stories in such a way that it struck a chord in anyone listening. My ears are truly blessed to have this, and so many of their other great songs bestowed upon them.
cette chanson reflète une période d'insouciance !!! Merci Sir Paul !!!
Just one of Paul’s many, many awesome, great songs ❤
Definitivamente qué bonitas canciones e interpretaciones de Paul cuando las cantaba con Linda , hermosa voz.
Gorgeous song ....a great talent...
Exato. Tinha 15 anos em 1971. Esta música marcou profundamente minha adolescência. Restou a saudade. Um abraço de um carioca.
Verdade
Another amazing McCartney song.
Que saudades dos anos 70. Só músicas lindas. Sou muito fã do Paul McCartney.
Linda's voice completes the song.
18 June …happy birthday Paul ☀️🎉🎉
I adore this song 🌷🌷
love this damn song.
@Ashley Make that two 😂
super song, and big love...
I listened to a Beatles session of this song in early development by McCartney, where he was struggling with the notes and structure of the song. It is amazing how it turned out later with prefect harmonies and notes. Absolutely beautiful.
My daughter and I used to sing this all the time. We loved Linda. Very much.
Despite growing up in their era, I was never a huge Beatles fan. But a few years ago, a bit of serendipity took me to see Paul McCartney live on David Letterman and his concert on the roof at close range because we were in the audience. I was immediately converted. A great talent and a legend.
Great entanterers and music value for us to hear from them life goes on and on lucky
What a beautiful man!❤
