I really enjoyed your video. You make it look so easy! I have a 2017 Treverse with 104k and thinking about changing the plugs myself. Should I change the coils too? Thanks for an easy-to-understand illustration. JK
Hey I'm getting P0430. Not running rough not misfiring. But also 7 years of Carfax, 2 me 5 prior owner no log entry saying spark plugs have ever been changed. Wondering if swapping in fresh spark plugs would be a good idea?
Whether a 3800 or 3600 engine in a comparable year of Lacrosse/Allure it's pretty well the same. (the 05 CXS Trim had the 3.6L engine) I always suggest replacing all 6 spark plugs at the same time but the back three can be daunting. If you have to get to the rear three plugs in a traverse style engine here is a great tip: The job is made easier by connecting a ratchet strap to the front and engine and tilting it forward. There are two YT videos where guys worked on older model GM cars but I am sure you can use their tips to adapt it to any engine: th-cam.com/video/UXXkgRlA5rg/w-d-xo.html and th-cam.com/video/X-WYj1l5bTE/w-d-xo.html. They connect the strap slightly differently, but both gets the job done.
Wow best video on this....question as i am getting mixed info on cylinder identification. Which cylinder is #5? Thats the one drivers side closest to the firewall no? Thanks!
@MrImpossible only to be truly disappointed in what I found. Oil on top of at least 4 of the plugs. Smh at gm and their messed up rubber seals in the defective heads another used 2400 motor later the exact same issue. Smh at GM BUICK flawed. 3rd time a charm hopefully. It's getting way to costly of a motor
@joschmoefrompickletoe2562 usually it just the spark plug tube seals in the valve cover that harden and leak into the spark plug tube's. Never ran into that problem with bad heads
can't seem to get the throttle body plug off, do you push it off with a flat head? I had to take a break after fiddling with it for at least 45 minutes trying not to snap it apart.
Thank you sir! No music, no boasting about yourself. Right to the task. Was dreading this work outside in the cold. Bet I can now have done before the engine is cold. Subscribed!
Whoever designed this trash engine needs to lose their job. No reason it should take that much work to swap plugs
@SCDeerAddict they go to lunch during the motor design process.🤫🤣
The side cuts!! On that pvc fitting! I was afraid to force it because I didn’t know what was on the other side.
Do a video on the 3.6 in the chevy Colorado

Spark plug socket and wrench. Those are pretty easy to do
Excellent share my man. Thanks

Outstanding! You took a job that others made look nearly impossible for the average Joe and showed how simple it really is!
Appreciate that
