This thing seems like a great value. I am starting to change my view on electric drums. This thing has a nice clean look and I want one. Great Video!!!
Beautiful playing bud - beautiful room, (lighting is real nice) very well organized... YOU make it all look so EASY ! I been using a RIMS Headset Drumset acoustic set - so the 3 zones seem good but I'd miss the infinite variables - still - the flexibility and variety of the Simmons Titan 70 is incredible! Have a blast!
thank you for answering the main question I had since being burned on a donner ded400 that has zero dynamic range I am happy to see this kit actually lets you hear a difference between soft and hard hits. my donner (sells for the same price point by the way) doesn't matter if I hit it soft or hard, so impossible to play accent notes when every note has the same sound regardless of how hard I hit it. I am seriously thinking of getting this kit. I just need to figure out a way to swap out my donner kit with this one without my wife noticing lol.
I have a DED 200, and it's terrible. great for kids to play with, but that's it. I can't get midi out past 32 notes, so multitrack recording is right out. All my demos using it are straight line-usb in.
@@imjustadrummer thanks for mentioning that, I am glad at least it isn't because I don't know enough to setup my drums properly it is intrinsic with the donner brand. I am so drooling over the Simmons e-kit
It is amazing...I have the titan 50 and love it ......and you have nice skills on those things... When I decide to upgrade I'll probably stick with Simmons...I started with the titan 20 and now have the 50 ...I have totally feel in love with E.kits ...
I am moving to a different apartment and had to re-watch this video to know how to put the little boxes inside the big box🫠 I got my Titan 70 on Sept 2023 and I love it. The support team even sent me a broken connection (I broke it) for free last month.
I am curious about the outputs. I see a wiring harness to the module. That seems like an issue down the road if one cable go bad. It will be like Christmas lights, the entire harness will be bad. Back to outputs I assume it is only one or two 1/4” jacks and it is an overall send out with no way to control the sound eq except what comes from the module. I realize this is an inexpensive kit, but it really sounds good for its price range. Any help with the in put and out put set up?
Great video. Did yours ever have issues with the hi hat volume and kick volume? Even after adjustment, mine are incredibly quiet compared to the rest of the kit.
I can see I'd want to reinforce the cage by adding a lower support beam, at least in the middle. Maybe 3 of them would make it really stable. It sure does shake around then played.
Unfortunately, when I got my kit the frame clamps were already cracked and the plastic clamps were so tight and would get very loose even after one day. I also couldn't stand the feel of the hihat. it was returned a day later.
Does it have an XLR or 1/4 inch out so I can run it through a PA?? How many inputs does this use? Usually an acoustic drum kit requires like 7 or 8 inputs..
Hi Alejandro. How did you pass the song to this video. I am struggling with recording my sound on video. I have the Simons Titan 50. Any help would be appreciated.
Are the levels equal w both zones on snare? I had such a problem w the crosstock feature on roland td17 . Playing in a yacht rock band there is many tunes you need a good crosstick sound.
5:42 Inspection time! Looks like it got the thumbs (paws?) up from the cat. Indeed, great video, great playing, liked and subbed. This kit is $300 off today Dec 14 MFriend deal of the day btw (I came here to check it out).
I loved the 3 zone sound on ride. I love my Alesis Surge kit, however I can’t get the bell sound which drives me crazy!!! 🤬 I love cowbells, your tortilla cymbal😀, chinas… love them man! One can’t describe this
At this price point there are no challengers. Super sturdy rack. Amazing sounds. Do customize even preset kits. I am sending kit to a mini powered mixer w/ a 5 headphone splitter jack so the whole band can play along. The mixer makes this kit even sound better! Tension your pads to emulate your acoustic drum set up. I am using the DW 5000 heelless pedal w/ plastic beater w/ pedal plate [helps stabilize the kick]. The kick pedal is garbage should have not included it and lowered the price point.
Awesome review! I subscribed after seeing this, very well done. I have a full instrument loop setup with an Alesis DM6 I got for $80 that I’ve been dying to upgrade. Torn between Alesis Nitro Max 10 piece for $500 and this for $640 but seems like this is worth the extra $140. I’m already in debt from poor choices and impulse buys so what the hell 😅
For a budget friendly e-kit, it is not as bad as others. I do not agree with lower-end low-budget e-kits. You can learn the basics on them, but they are nothing like playing an accustic kit or a high-end e-kit. You can learn the very basics on this kit or other lower-end e-kits, but to get good at playing drums, you will need a high-end e-kit or an accustic kit. Once you feel you have mastered playing this kit or similar kits and you then go to play an accustic kit or a high-end e-kit, it will seem like you can not play them well. That is because there is a relearning curve as you get used to how a good drum kit should play, perform, speak, and sound. A high-end e-kit or an accustic kit has better feel, sound, more playable zones, bigger more realistic sizes, more sound variations for realistic dynamics, a better module with more editing, and overall better playability. If you want to learn guitar do you first start with a toy that doesn't really play, sound, or feel like a guitar? Then why buy what drummers consider a toy of a drum set? Yea, I understand that high-end e-kits are expensive, but they are totally worth saving up for if you are serious about learning and playing drums. After you get good on a lower-end budget friendly e-kit, you will want to either upgrade it or buy a better kit. I would not waste the money as a good high-end e-kit will save you money in the long run, and you will be happier and learn better faster without a relearning curve down the road and wasting a bunch of money finaly getting a better kit.
Awesome review! Please, you have to point out the possibilities when connecting these edrums to a DAW with GetGoodDrums or BFD3 or EZDrummer3. That was the point where I as a hobby metal drummer thought, ok... I'll stick to the edrums.
Posting to any Simmons reviews - I bought a Titan 50 a year and a half ago - sounds pretty good, but it’s not well made. Some important metal connecting pieces / bushings in the bass pedal have broken, and now the electronics in my bass pad is fried. The Simmons warranty claim process continues to be a *total nightmare*. They DO NOT stand by their equipment.
Thank you , well done demonstration ... I don't see any difference from my Alesis dm10, and maybe nowadays the various top range drum kits are very similar .... I would like , instead , to see new Simmons EXAGONAL pads with the dynamic which we can have in these times .... I still have the old Simmons exagonal pads but they can be used only for electronic music having not much dynamic .....
Really great video quality and content my friend, thank you! As for guessing the song, I believe it's Bat Country by Avenged Sevenfold, isn't? Definitely a great one to play on the kit =)
Absolutely loving this! I'm seriously wanting one of these bad boys now. I once had a go on a Simmons kit well over 30 years ago. That was obviously the old hex shaped pads. An exciting/interesting experience. I'd love a bash on the Titan 70. Some nice playing here too. Impressive all round 👏🏻
Thanks for the review Alejandro. I've been looking for a reasonably priced electronic kit and you practically sold me on this one. I have a couple of questions. Will the kick drum pad accommodate a double pedal? Also, does the module have extra inputs for additional toms and/or cymbals? TIA
GREAT VIDEO! I'm upgrading from a Roland TD-5 (yes, I'm that old) to the Titan 70.... it arrives on Thursday this week. #stoked
Nothing like the smell of a fresh new e-kit
Because of this review Alejandro, this is my next E-Kit., Thank you!!!
This thing seems like a great value. I am starting to change my view on electric drums. This thing has a nice clean look and I want one. Great Video!!!
Your review has been the most helpful. Everyone else talks about the dual zones, I like that you actually demonstrated it.
FINALLY!! DRUM ENGINEERS THAT ARE SERIOUS ABOUT PERCUSSION IN MUSIC!!
Those sounds are incredible and the triple zone ride is a game changer
As a self taught drummer it looks like a fine e kit to me bro and very amazing

There's a new Donner kit out right now. It sounds pretty good.
@@DrummerGrrrl have you played it yet? I'll have to look it up!
Great video and editing! Just bought this after watching your vid!
Had to come back to guess the song, Avenged Sevenfold - Bat Country ofcourse
Bingo😂same here
Great review! This was a great presentation. Thanks for sharing!👏
I bought this set and I love it, thank you!!!
The Simmons Titan 70 versus The Alesis Strike Pro?
Customizing the kick is probably my favorite part because I like to get creative.
Nice playing, gonna pull the trigger, thanks bro 👍
i just got it for Christmas and i love it
Great unboxing and demonstration video. I'm still holding out for the SD 1250
I have the T-50, and it ROCKS, now I NEED The T-70!
Bro it's amazing
It is amazing...I have the titan 50 and love it ......and you have nice skills on those things...

I'm also loving your new hairstyle bro.
Nice kit! Nice playing also!👍👍👍
I like the kits on the 50. Does the 70 have all the same kits?
Great video and thanks........But i can't find this kit in the UK. i SO WANT ONE BADLY. Duel zone is a great idea. Please is there a UK distributor?
You can run this out for live performance, like through an amp?
The word you're looking for at 8:27 is 'bow'
Great video. Did yours ever have issues with the hi hat volume and kick volume? Even after adjustment, mine are incredibly quiet compared to the rest of the kit.
You’ve convinced me, I’m getting this kit.
I enjoyed the video on the titan 70. Finally a decent electronic set thAT WILL NOT DRAIN the bank.
which better titans 70 or alesis nitro pro?
I can see I'd want to reinforce the cage by adding a lower support beam, at least in the middle. Maybe 3 of them would make it really stable. It sure does shake around then played.
how are you using in ears with the kit? is it wire connected to a computer and the in ears are connected to the computer?
Quick question if I may, do these have a kit that will sound like those 80's hex Simmons kits did?
How does it hold up with a double bass?
Unfortunately, when I got my kit the frame clamps were already cracked and the plastic clamps were so tight and would get very loose even after one day. I also couldn't stand the feel of the hihat. it was returned a day later.
Bros building up a collection, very epic 🔥

Hi!!! By any chance, do you know the measure of the box (whole set)? Thanks
Hi Alejandro. How did you pass the song to this video. I am struggling with recording my sound on video. I have the Simons Titan 50. Any help would be appreciated.
Can you play double pedal? Can you show how it sounds? Thanks
Are the levels equal w both zones on snare? I had such a problem w the crosstock feature on roland td17 . Playing in a yacht rock band there is many tunes you need a good crosstick sound.
is it easy to fold the sides in when you're not playing them?
Shalom greetings, if I can ask, would you or have you done an alesis vs. simmons?
5:42 Inspection time! Looks like it got the thumbs (paws?) up from the cat. Indeed, great video, great playing, liked and subbed. This kit is $300 off today Dec 14 MFriend deal of the day btw (I came here to check it out).
I built my own electronic kit using a real 6 piece evolution ludwig. Sounds great, love it!
Arriving tomorrow! What are the dimensions of the rack? Meaning footprint on floor. Thanks! Your' vids helped my decision!
I loved the 3 zone sound on ride. I love my Alesis Surge kit, however I can’t get the bell sound which drives me crazy!!! 🤬 I love cowbells, your tortilla cymbal😀, chinas… love them man! One can’t describe this
7:10 bat country
Wow. Wish to play like you in the future.
I’m buying my first e-kit and I’m wondering, there’s no problem with setting it up as left handed, is it?
Great vid,down with the 70👍😎
how would you say this kit feels compared to a roland kit? do the mesh heads have the same high quality as roland's?
Man I love e-kits with build in metronomes
What is the title of the original video you got the clip from
Can you choke the cymbals??
fire bruh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Have you, or CAN you, hook up your double bass pedal from say….an acoustic drum set?
I hope you can make a SHORT video on that to show it.
WHAT ARE THE OVERALL DIMENSIONS OF THE COMPLETE SETUP?
your class on drums 🔥
I wonder if you made the mini e-kit monster again using the structure from the Titan 70 and see if the results come out different from the Titan 50
I have 50. Sound about the same or better?
😎🔥
I like how the kick drum is more bigger this time
Sounds amazing! i like the presets
I like how you can make one of the toms have a cowbell sound.
it is an e-kit so if you wanna play with three snares instead of toms and a floor tom on the snare, you can. pretty dope
Can you get this kit in uk
so i have a question what do you do with all the drums you have like where you put them?? osea como? LOL
Love the mustache bro

Bro, you're totally right. The Titan 70 does look like an electric version of you blue maxtone drum kit.
and the song is bat country form Ax7??
i love your mustache bro ❤🤣

It depends on what the end goal is though. If you plan to be a hobbyist I don’t see any point in saving 6-8k for an edrum kit.
This is for beginners or professional ?
Beginners

Awesome electric drumset
Hoping to pick mine up TODAY, if it was on the Guitar Center truck 🥁 replacing my burned out Alesis Command X…(Asurion is a joke!)
The 2nd part of the ride cymbal is called the surface.
also the fact I hate the headphone wire I have to use on my ded-400 makes the bluetooth option heavenly.

Bro, se le puede poner o existe pedal doble para esta drum???
Amazing
You should try out the Roland VAD706 and do a review on it
did not expect to hear batg country in this video
Triple zone ride the terms you are looking for is bell, bow, and edge. Sort of cymbal speak 101.
Really great video quality and content my friend, thank you! As for guessing the song, I believe it's Bat Country by Avenged Sevenfold, isn't? Definitely a great one to play on the kit =)

Great drummer!!! 😎👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Didnt know simmons is still in business
They sold to guitar center if I’m not mistaken
Thanks for the review Alejandro. I've been looking for a reasonably priced electronic kit and you practically sold me on this one. I have a couple of questions. Will the kick drum pad accommodate a double pedal? Also, does the module have extra inputs for additional toms and/or cymbals? TIA
Yes. It will accommodate a dual pedal with ease
The module has 2 expansion slots that are also dual zone so you can add 4 more triggered sounds
This info is very helpful. Thank you Jason.
How can I buy in India?
If you think this sounds good, look at 2box drumit 3 & drumit5 mk2. Blows pretty much everything else away!
