Brilliant! That’s how teaching should be done. I spend my day in the classroom, and the goal is always a combination of inspiration and instruction. You nailed it!
There are a lot of beginners who struggles with their hand techniques... They are gifted to get these type of lessons... Love ur tips... Keep up bro🥰🥰🥰🥰
The most important thing about playing the drums is being comfortable behind your kit not some technique or trick. From a drummer of fifty years. Also: I have short arms and if I used this technique I would not be able to reach my cymbals as this technique effectively reduces the size of my drum sticks by half and the bottom end of the sticks would keep catching my groin area due to the increased length of the bottom end of the drumsticks. The take home message from this text is find how you feel comfortable and relaxed behind your kit (which will make you play better just because you are relaxed and comfortable) find out what works for you and practice, and after you have finished practicing, practice some more. And to tell how good a drummer is you need to see them playing the drums, that is doing what a drummer does. In other words, playing with other musicians not playing clever little beats that are too involved and only applicable to tunes that clever little beat fits. And if anyone is interested check out The Longest Day at Justin's Shed. Skip the beginning it is just me getting excited with a camera.
This is the best lesson I have found so far that explains A LOT!!! Just starting out and you explained everything I've been trying to find answers to!!! Definitely going to watch all your videos! Thanks again!!!
I’ve been looking for a very detailed explanation that leaves no stone unturned. Thank you for not just assuming people would know what you’re talking about.
Love you, bro, you are a good teacher your teachings make a lot of sense. And I am very happy to be waiting for your videos you are the best. Thank you
Great video but one major issue with the technique. 1:19 You should be using your pinky along with your other two fingers to snap the stick. The pinky is the shortest finger on your hand (Next to the thumb) so it will pull the stick down quicker than your ring and middle finger. Meaning you can do faster strokes utilizing the pinky. Jojo Mayer made one of the best drum technique videos to date and talks about the benefits of utilizing your pinky on freehand strokes.
I was going to comment this. Sometimes I have the bad habit of letting my pinky go, but once it's back on there is so much more control there. I hope not too many drummers listen to this guy and stop using their pinkies.
Alejandro, i have a custom snare drum idea. Since you love drumeo so much, why not make a custom drumeo snare drum. Basically you can add the drumeo logo on the side of the snare and make the drum head look like your drumeo practice drum pad.
Drummer here of Bat Brain. I was always told to keep my pink on the stick, and that it had the most leverage and was imperative for doubles? Is that now old thinking? I'm open to anything new that comes along
THAT'S WHY I SOUND LIKE SHITE??? I've been trying to find this out for months, thank you so much 😭 fantastic and very informative video, looking forward to more in the future!
Hey man! Love the way you teach and i just wanted to get to a specific point That technique is sure subjective and technically there is no right or wrong i agree But of course the way we move our body determines for how long we are going to be able to move it for And personally i have struggled with technique creating problems in my hands until a teacher showed me a way that was tension free and protects the longevity of my musical career Hopefully you take this with no offense🙏🏼respect

Thanks man you taught great❤
wise teachings master 🙌🥁🔥
Glad you liked it master!
I really needed this mostly for my left ❤
Technically the last finger should also help with movement of the stick, don’t just let it go like he did.
I know lol I came here in the comments just to see what other people said about it
@@Bobbrobergfr. I actually use the technique n I realized that every other drummer does it normally. So I gotta relearn some stuff

Why are you using the DW 3000 double kick drum pedal on the e-kit? Didn't you say you were going to use it on the acustic drum kit.
