- Today I am showing you how to brush your dog's teeth. This is by no means the right method or the only method. This is how I do it, and it works for me! It might be another method that works for you :)

Very interesting. Thank you for sharing, I started brushing Rancho's teeth when he was around two and they started getting a little dirty. Now I do it as often as I remember. But I don't massage the gums, I need to start with that too :)

I use enzyme toothpaste. Try putting some on your finger and rubbing it on the teeth one side then the same for the other. You will have coated all the teeth in readiness for the brushing. I work it in well around all teeth. Lily even lets me twist my finger around to the back of the teeth so all parts of teeth get covered, back and front.
I then brush teeth like you, putting just a small amount of paste on the brush for each side of the mouth. When all cleaning has taken place and lily has done some considerable licking lol... i then coat the teeth with my finger rubbing gently with some Dentisept gel. It coats the teeth and acts in antiseptic way to treat any inflamed gums etc. Vet recommended this way of cleaning lily's teeth. It seems to work as she used to have really stained teeth. Vet said trying to brush daily is unachievable and necessary, so twice a week is really good. Love your videos, lily and i watch all of them x😁
Good job girls❣ I use Virbac C.E.T. Enzymatic Toothpaste. I first bought the meat-flavored. Ugh couldn't stand the smell, so next time, I bought the vanilla flavor. Smells much better. Your babies behave much better than Maddie. She loves getting her teeth brushed but she squirms a lot, so it's hard to get her to sit still, she's always trying to lick the toothpaste. 🤦♀️ My vet said 3x week is good enough, but more is always better. Thank you for the excellent video. 👏🙋♀️💖

Herky reminds me of my Cavalier, his tongue always gets in the way. He's so determined to eat the tooth paste. I found out my guy had a luxating patella when he was 2. I took him to his regular vet and then 3 specialist. When all was said and done I chose not to do surgery until he showed pain. Within 3-4 months he became use to it and how to fix it himself. The first few times it happened he gave me that "mom help me" look. I'm sure you've seen it many times. What I'm really trying to say is there are so many varying views in this topic and in the end you need to trust your gut and what you know about Milton. It seem so type of arthritis is possible with or without surgery. Depending on how Milton is feeling now will tell you what to do. Good Luck!

I just got a cavalier on Sunday and we took him to the vet but they were extremely rude about us getting a cavalier they were saying that those dogs are really problematic and they never really answered any of my questions for example the toothpaste they just said “feed him something good”. I was wondering if you could get the toothpaste you’re using anywhere else other than the vet ?
