Tipp Für Oldtimer starten
Gang raus und keine Kupplung drücken da die alten Motoren dadurch ein axiales Kurbelwellen spiel von bis zu 1 cm bekommen könne (durch mangelnde Schmierung bei den ersten Umdrehungen und somit erhöhter verschleiß der Lager)

Das Lenkgetriebe lässt sich nachstellen an der Madenschraube die oben raus schaut. Aber nur soviel bis die Lenkung anfängt schwerer zu gehen, dann war es zuviel. Die zweite Stellschraube ist der fette Sechskant wo die Lenkwelle rein geht, dazu muss das Lenkgetriebe aber ausgebaut werden. An der ersten Schraube würde ich drehen auf dem Trip, es kann nur besser werden.

As someone that drives a 72 Ford, I know exactly what you’re talking about. Feels like you’re driving a boat on wheels. The suspension is soft. The steering is light and if you crash, you’re gonna die, but that’s the fun of it.

One of the best choices! Stunning car. Really nice project, doesn’t seem too rusty. Double check the floor pan under the rear seats. And the rear valence area behind the bumper! Those are common rust areas. Love the car!!! I guessed it was some sort of 2nd gen F-Body, but it having no rear spoiler really threw me off. 11/10!

It's funny how the grass is always greener, somewhere else. Your from Europe & wanted to visit Appalachia, but I live in the US and always wanted to visit Europe. There's so much more history in Europe, cities have buildings that are older then our country has existed.

Hell yeah dude. Not sure what engine it has now - sourcing a real Pontiac V8 would be very cool. The Pontiac V8's are different than the Chevrolet ones, do keep that in mind. Engine Masters is a great resource. Also, Detroit Speed could probably sort the suspension for you.
i think the button down there, next to the clutch is for the big lights. we have a button like that on our 1971 oldsmobile and its for the big lights😊

Thanks, you brought back memories of my father and I car hunting for a 1977 TA! That ended with the same results... By the way, always check the rear quarter panels as they are notorious for rusting. The water gets in from the window(especially if you have T-tops) and trickles down into the back seat and quarter panel. Ok, so I expected exactly what happened. It's a 55 yo car that's been sitting around for years. If you want to buy one of these cars you really need to get it fully checked out on a lift by someone who is familiar with these cars. I hope you didn't pay more than $500. Probably best to sell it and if you're still truly serious about getting another one, I recommend going for a true "Trans AM". The Formula was the basic/low end version of the Trans AM. Good luck!

OGS! I bought a 2011 E90 M3 Comp this year and discovered you researching all about M3's. I'm laughing now finding out you were inspired by SMB movie as that was my favorite movie growing up. I practically know every line in that movie and bought a 1977 Trans Am when I was in highschool back in 1987. My last name is Chan so my plates were "CHANSAM." LOL..I unfortunately sold it before going to college but miss it daily. Keep the content coming!! Huge fan! Give me an email and I can send video of me "sending it" back in 1987! HAHA
