I think this is the nicest decorated tiny home I have seen. The privacy screens are really beautiful in the bedroom. The couple have delightful personalities. They fit right in with Amanda and Randy.

Nice to meet you , Linda & Shawn (Sean?)!! I love your home and what you've done with it! I'm sure the gravel in front of the house helps cut down on maintenance and the plants out front look so nice! I love the way you decorated with gifts! One of the things I liked the most inside the house was something no one even mentioned, but that screen that you've got upstairs on either side of the loft is so special - I haven't seen anything like that before. If you happen to see this, I'd love to know what the original purpose was and where you got it!
Any time you're curious about things like that, just google it! I put in 'openwork panel screen images'* and got all kinds, from freestanding room dividers to modular squares. I remember when the choices were pretty much limited to rattan or those gorgeous sculptured panels from India. Nowadays, with laser cutters, intricate designs are easy to produce, so there's a ton of choice. *It works for just about anything, from water filters to convertible coffee tables to election results. I'm always so surprised how easily folks forget that all that information is right there for us. Have fun!
So they were going to be in the Mountain, Randy put their home in the Forest until their lot was ready, and they fell in love with that location. Nice location, nice home, nice neighbors. A great job making this their home.

I have those Lowe's blinds and one of the best investments for my home. These blinds are not flat against the wall, but come out about 2 1/4 ". You can sit decorates on the top. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home. Great ideas.

I love the community setting in the forest. You need to get Google Streets car to drive through and video record your streets. Amanda is looking ravishing! Cute little house. Beautiful outside landscaping.

I have those shutters, my found found someone throwing them out since they were remodeling, but they were less than half a year old. Had enough for the whole house. They are great for keeping the cold out.
That was like the best video I have ever seen how much fun did they have. And those folks are from Florida and that’s where we’re sitting too. I’m so happy for that couple that was really really nice. They decorated that place. Just perfect. everything had its place and it was a place for everything there. Seeing how we get a lot of cheap stuff made in the Far East anymore when Googling, it's nice to have a recommendation from people who have a product that looks and feels like a better quality item. Similar to how Linda told us their rolling counter was bought on Amazon. It looks like it may have been a teak, multi-panel wooden room divider that they painted white and cut to fit that area though.
@@joanndaprile9076 Yes, you do have to select for quality, but still, you get all kinds of resource, and frequently even some great items you hadn't thought of when you started out. And of course, Amazon is always right in there in the front of the line, if you really want to buy from them. A lot of us don't.
Perfect Example of what you can do when you have a lot of stuff. Everything has a spot, the use of small scale cabinets. Light colors and the place still feels spacious. BEAUTIFUL Job ! Beautifl place ! :)

What a nice couple, who have done a great job of embracing the tiny home concept and shown the full capacity of how comfortable they can be. When I first started looking at tinys, I eventually kind of cooled off on them because of the whole "plop some foam on a board and call it a couch" mentality. (Doesn't work for older bones!) Even clever storage in the stairs couldn't overcome the fact that many were made with steps where each one was so tall that it would be like a rock climbing expedition each time you went up. What I like with Randy's designs is that he pays attention to real livability in the ITH homes, so that people can have it either as minimalist or as decorated up as they want, and not feel like they ended up just 'sitting out in the woods in a box'! Great job, both homeowners and ITH!
With the little homes and small lots it doesn’t take much make give it a lot of charming curb appeal. What I love about the community is that you do get some yard, but not too much and the wooded environment, instead of being smushed right next to your neighbor on the same on an ugly big parking lot. It really does feel like a nice little established neighborhood.
Wow! And I love they have all the animals too! I got 2 dogs a cat, and 55 gallon fish tank. Good to see plenty of room for pets. Like their coffee nook. And hubby is very handy with building stuff too. Funny he got all them kudos... Until the "I have to remind him to put the seat down and not have the fans on at night."
@@girlypotato3211 really, with a 29 gallon should be pretty easy to fit. Living room or bedroom... Probably living room would be best because of all the natural lighting. Would reduce the amount of electricity used just because you wouldn't need to run tank lights as often. If you had a seated bay window, would be great for the tank so it isn't taking up room. Can always set it up on a side table, or for instance... The rolling cabinet they have in the video. That would be extremely helpful/convenient for when you need to clean the tank. All in all.... Not much difference in seeing up a 29 gallon tank in a tiny home than a regular one. Another reason is suggest the rolling cabinet for the tank as well... Is it's somewhere you can keep all the aquarium supplies in one area or of sight.
Putting the tank in a bay window is a really neat idea! I had not thought of that. I do like the rolling cabinets in their house too. Surely if they can live tiny with all those cats, I can with my fish and boyfriend! :) :)

There is no North Carolina location. that fell through. the only places are in Newport Tennessee

When I first started looking at tinys, I eventually kind of cooled off on them because of the whole "plop some foam on a board and call it a couch" mentality. (Doesn't work for older bones!) Even clever storage in the stairs couldn't overcome the fact that many were made with steps where each one was so tall that it would be like a rock climbing expedition each time you went up. What I like with Randy's designs is that he pays attention to real livability in the ITH homes, so that people can have it either as minimalist or as decorated up as they want, and not feel like they ended up just 'sitting out in the woods in a box'! Great job, both homeowners and ITH!

With the little homes and small lots it doesn’t take much make give it a lot of charming curb appeal. What I love about the community is that you do get some yard, but not too much and the wooded environment, instead of being smushed right next to your neighbor on the same on an ugly big parking lot. It really does feel like a nice little established neighborhood.
Wow! And I love they have all the animals too! I got 2 dogs a cat, and 55 gallon fish tank. Good to see plenty of room for pets. Like their coffee nook. And hubby is very handy with building stuff too. Funny he got all them kudos... Until the "I have to remind him to put the seat down and not have the fans on at night."
I also have a fish tank, 29 gallon! I'm very interested in going tiny but I'm apprehensive with my tank. Do you have any tips or advice?
@@girlypotato3211 really, with a 29 gallon should be pretty easy to fit. Living room or bedroom... Probably living room would be best because of all the natural lighting. Would reduce the amount of electricity used just because you wouldn't need to run tank lights as often. If you had a seated bay window, would be great for the tank so it isn't taking up room. Can always set it up on a side table, or for instance... The rolling cabinet they have in the video. That would be extremely helpful/convenient for when you need to clean the tank. All in all.... Not much difference in seeing up a 29 gallon tank in a tiny home than a regular one. Another reason is suggest the rolling cabinet for the tank as well... Is it's somewhere you can keep all the aquarium supplies in one area or of sight.
Putting the tank in a bay window is a really neat idea! I had not thought of that. I do like the rolling cabinets in their house too. Surely if they can live tiny with all those cats, I can with my fish and boyfriend! :) :)
