    Great video but you should try sodium and iris instead of optifine because for me on sodium and iris the fps is much better using macbook air m2 15in and you should try different versions of sildurs vibrant shaders these are the versions lite, medium, high extreme etc and Here are some shaders that work great with mac and give good frames -> Chocapic13 High performance, Bsl shaders, Make up ultra fast shader, Superduper vanilla shader, and complementary shaders. I suggest turning fullscreen mode in minecraft settings and changing full screen resuloution to 1080p(1200p) in minecraft sodium by going to settings and pressing shift + P that will open vanilla settings and change the resulution there. Hope this helps if you guys are facing low fps. Enjoy

    Great video. Just wanted to add another recommendation to use fabric with sodium instead of optifine. Your frame rates will go way up even with shaders, allowing you to further increase the draw distance from 12 chunks to maybe 16 or 20 easily
    Can also recommend the macOS version of prism launcher, which makes it really easy to install fabric and sodium and shaders

    One huge mistake you did on both laptops was that you allocated just 2gb of ram each
    On the m3 pro this is especially bad cause you're basically using only 15% of the memory and that can affect performance A LOT

    • @renargues
      @renargues 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Works even better using the M3 Max, though for all MacBooks I am puzzled by the low FPS in Minecraft especially when not using shaders. I get 1200+ fps on my gaming 4080 laptop, yet only 250 fps (regardless of screen resolution) on M3 Max. No vsync or FPS cap. I would expect it to do a bit more, not a 5x gap. Though with shaders it's more like a 2.5x gap. And that's running JAVA ARM version.

    • @EdwinLin-t3l
      @EdwinLin-t3l 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yea I feel like Minecraft on Mac can get way more fps but they just cap it at a certain fps even with vsync. I have a 14inch m3 pro MacBook Pr(12 core cpu and 18 gpu) and I get like 400 fps on vanilla. Then when I run a pretty intensive mod pack(better mc) I’m getting the same results.

    Does anyone know what the performance will be like on the M3 Pro 16” (because it has the unbinned M3 Pro unlike the 14” which has either M3 or binned M3 Pro) with 18GB ram?
    Preferably both Java and bedrock editions.
    Also what’s the deal with sodium or whatever that optifine alternative is, on Java of course, and how much better is it? I also saw someone mention 2GB allocated RAM and Vsync, how much RAM should I allocate for best performance and how do I disable Vsync?
    I know for sure the Java version doesn’t utilize the Ray Tracing hardware, but does the bedrock version utilize it on Mac? It does on windows but idk about Mac. And what’s the performance impact of RT (bedrock) or whatever the best macOS shaders is (Java)
    I know it’s stupid to buy a Mac for gaming but 1-I already have the laptop 2- I didn’t buy it FOR gaming, Minecraft is just a plus, I bought it for macOS and battery life and iPhone compatibility (because of studying and sharing files)
