I have been watching (don't know the correct word) spider keepers for maybe a year now, started watching your content about 2 months subbed instantly because of how fluid you are with them. No jerky movements that cause stress. I see so many youtubers trying to make it look scary and spooky jumping around and yelling all the time. I really appreciate how you care about what you are doing. I mean views will defiantly help you but I think you will get people like me who find it much more entertaining to see how skillful you are over the OMG I almost got bit videos. Thank you for your content, and the hard work you have put into it.

Awesome video Dave. I am a 70yo guy who has had a fear of spiders my whole life. About a month ago I was looking something up on here about spiders and your videos and some of the other well know TH-camrs popped up. I started watching and could not stop. They are absolutely fascinating creatures and the coloration and patterns on some are quite beautiful. Never thought I would hear myself say that. Would like to try keeping one but the wifey said no. Thank you Dave and Camera Lady. I am sure he will be fully healed in time and be back to his workouts and soccer soon. It gives him a laugh knowing I get such pleasure in watching Tarantula videos being that I have a severe phobia of spiders. My husband loves all critters and if spider is lose in the house he will catch it and take it outside while I had in the bathroom. I love the tarantula but I also look forward to another outdoor collection of miss and leaves and sticks.

Yesterday I just picked up an female that molted into her adult colors recently, she's my first spider! I startled her when trying to rehouse and she ran very fast, so I wanted to find another rehousing to see if I did something wrong. I went about as gentle as you, but since I picked her up at an expo I am thinking she was just super stressed out. Otherwise she is so chill and mild mannered though!!! Hi Dave I'm very glad you re-homed that beautiful girl I had one of those vented habitats the vents block the view to the point of rage lol 😂

What an absolute lady, amazingly calm, the ones I've had have all been a lot more species-typical, and not nearly as docile. Yeah, an easy spider to care for, but most of them aren't this calm, at least not in my experience. Also, it's true that they're found in some of the driest regions of Venezuela, but I have a story I think deserves to be shared. Many years ago I was hanging at my local watering hole, and when the bartender found out I kept spiders, she had a picture she really wanted to show me. So she pulled out this pic of a sub-adult _C. cyaneopubescens_ sitting on a leaf, and I asked her how her vacation to Venezuela went. She was a bit surprised I could deduct where she'd been, from that pic alone, but what puzzled me was the lush green environment the spider was found in - to my knowledge they're mostly found in the driest regions, but apparently, it isn't at all uncommon for them to live in the more humid forests as well. The bartender told me her guide had wanted to show her "some spiders that lived in the bullet holes of some old building in the forest", but they hadn't been able to locate any, until they found one just sitting on a leaf, and the guide had said to her "that's one of them, this is what they look like". Anyone who knows their spiders will instantly recognize a _C. cyaneopubescens_ no matter its age, so there's no question it was one of these guys, although I generally won't even attempt to ID a spider from a pic alone, the point is, yes, they do seem to thrive under very dry conditions, but in the wild, they _also_ inhabit more humid environments. In this case, the spider's age might have something to do with its choice of residence though.
