This is our first attempt at breeding these cool little spiders and it was a little unusual compared to our normal pairings but all will be explained so join us for some amazing footage these are truly a forest jewel.

It'd be pretty cool to see the interaction in a natural setting, i.e. in the wild. You managed to get them to interact in the way desired, which was pretty cool. Trapdoor spiders (and Salticids) fascinate me. These are stunningly beautiful !

You always have interesting behaviours to observe, really well narrated too. That log was a beautiful setting (even if it did give them a bit of a panic attack at first 😄) it was like watching them in the wild. They are beautiful little beasties, fingers crossed for a successful pairing!

I love these videos, they really make me want a tarantula
As a person who was terrified of spiders in general I can say hand on my heart that by owning hell even just being around them more and more you’ll start to become fascinated, my GF couldn’t even be in the same room as my T now she checks her daily 😂 I make a suggestion for looking at caribena, avics purely as they don’t look like what you’d expect tarantula too look like helps with fears ALOT
Oh and thank you for not fast forwarding the video. Sometimes I prefer to just sit back and watch as things play out. Cheers!

Ohhh Dave you and your camera lady have managed to do it again. You have intrigued me from the get go, im in love with this female jewel. She's absolutely gorgeous with her pinks and blues . I've never seen such a beautiful spider. And I've never had my face so close to the screen so I can see everything being an anarachnaphobe (sorry for the misspelled word). !such as I was. I'm still not 100% over it; but I'd rather put my success to be at about at least 95.+ %!! Which is outstanding for me. When before I would burst out into tears and cry just like a baby scared to death. And all the credit goes to you and the camera lady for your beautiful videos and very intelligent & informative information. You are such a great teaching duo!! Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!!! Never once did I ever think I would ever say that!!! Lol. But this has been a 1000% hit of a video. ! And for the other video where you actually showed where and what the male sexual organ looked like and how they made the sperm web and collected said sperm. Simply mind blowing. Im forever learning from you which I think is where my success from trying to get over my debilitating fear of spiders had come from. Pure ignorance on my part. The male was so skinny. His abdomen was so small it seemed like he's near death, not about to mate.
This was really informative and brilliant.
I have to say she was very well temperod, and she was very polite afterwards, this and the video of you collecting her babies has led me to believe she is a very shy spider not prone to aggression

This was maybe the most chilled pairing I have ever watched. Normally im super tense for the males but this one was really easy going

I think that this was very interesting but they both did preformed well during those circumstances and didn't show any aggressive behaviors towards each other! I got my Brazilian jewelled spiderling yesterday and it is so fast and active in comparison to my tiger rump spiderling. So happy I got my dream tarantula and now seeing ur trying to breed them is so cool

Brazilian Jewels...such a perfect name for these beauties. I loved his persistence. LOL Poor girl didn't know what to think at first. Luckily she figured it out & was very receptive. She is definitely large for the species I'd say, tho I'm no expert.

Those are some GORGEOUS spiders. After a lifetime of aracnophobia Im getting my first spiderling, tiny regal jumper, very soon and have begun gradually eyeing larger spiders and tarantulas. I may never get the courage but I love to live vicariously through videos like this! What a brave mating pair, was amazing to watch, thanks for sharing it with us all!

That is the most beautiful spider I have ever seen. I love her, she is so precious! The trap door, she made beautiful and as perfect as she is, Dave, you and camera lady should name your spiders, I know you probably have so many of them, but the ones you video tape would be easier to remember their names and then their scientific name would be easier to learn. This spider needs an amazing name, she really looks like the colors of a gemstone. Amethyst is a good one!

Another awesome video mate 👌🏻 they are one of the prettiest Tarantulas in the hobby. Wow.
I'm not surprised by how this went as I always assumed that tarantula's felt by vibrations of their webbing, pheromones and touch but touch is somewhat iffy as a touch could be food or a predator or a mate so the touch would have come with certain movements for the tarantula would consider it a mate. Maybe I'm wrong but that's what I've always assumed is how tarantula's eat, drink, mate etc. Fascinating to watch and learn about this kinda stuff :)
