This is just plain cool and the cinematography is top notch. Who ever made this video needs to start a video instructional series on building engines and other mechanical work on old Porsches (and other makes as well). I'd pay $$$ for a video series to teach me how to work on my classic Porsche and not have to rely on shady dishonest mechanics any more.
What’s amazing is the work that goes into a stop motion video like this, it gets 300k views in 3 years. My girlfriend just posted a video of her butt and got 300k views in an hour. Well at least the 911 won’t get old and fat someday.
@@The_Touring_Jedi well you've obviously never owned one. Very reliable sports car engine. Built to be driven hard. The ones that have the problems are the ones treated like garage princesses. I drove my Cayman hard....150,000 miles and not one issue. not one. Tracked it once a month at club events. biggest cost was burning through tires on the track.
Great job, I don't want to criticize but is just an observation, why not using the 2 piece drain tubes, for some reason they will leak oil with time, to replace the o rings you have to remove the cylinder heads, other than that is a nice clean job with lot's of attention to details, great job
I would love it if this video was reposted with sound effects but with out the music.. 4.15 min of a guy saying "take the train"?. The sound effects and stop motion are awesome but the music choice I didn't get.
Hah right after 0:08 I expected someone to bust out some funky lyrics. Sounded like someone scratching a record in the 80s. OHHH Heck I commented right before the music started! Hah!

One of the best engine builds I've seen. I hate when people record theirselves more than the engine itself🤣

I now have an overwhelming urge to take the train.
Hahaha, idiot! 😂
where do you catch it
This is incredible. Building the engine is one thing but then to do it with this stop motion. I can't imagine brain power that went into this.
Fantastic video showing craftmanship and artistry far above normal level. One must love it.
This deserves way more views, it was absolutely incredible! Thank you for producing and uploading this.
an engine with metal chains..ohh dear
This is by far, the best video on assembling a Porsche motor--just the basics without all the extra BS
A list of mechanical details along the way would be amazing. Super informative!
One of the coolest videos I've seen in a while!
What a fantastic accompanied video dessert for a (any) Porsche lover (! x 6). Cheers!- from Arizona, USA.
Absolutely fantastic job on putting that video together I know it took a long time just brilliant
Love the vid and the music.
Brilliant assembly and photography.
Frickin loved everything about the video. Excellent work!
I would've loved to have seen the underside of the heads to see the valves. Never knew those engines had Hemi-style heads. 😳 Very cool build.👌
For how long it took to make this video. Its a shame that after nearly 3 years its only got to 180K views. Thought it would of had more.
Well boxer engine are trash, so yes, nobody is interested except people driving them and repairing them. That's it
@@The_Touring_Jedi Why?

I for one loved the inappropriate animations... Awesome video, artsy and cool as hell.

We dig the sound and the visuals.
That thing looks shockingly similar to the vw type 1 engine, I guess they didn't change much!
Porsche was part of VW.
@@booxone1 Ummm, yeah I know. I own a 73 super beetle. How could I not know that? 😂
So awesome, I want to see a BTS of this. Who has the patience to create this video?
does the displacement bump mean it doesn't sound like trash now?

A lot of sensitive people commenting hahaha sweet stop motion, funny animations, it’s not an engine build video. It’s for entertainment.
