Tried this a few times and had beautiful results! Last night, though, I made another batch the same as the rest and woke up this morning to a bowl of jello? Any idea what I may have done/ how to fix this? It’s strange since adding water to the others thinned it out too much and I thought I had it perfect with the recipe until now lol
I didn’t have Decyl Glucoside and BMS on hand to add to my Betaine so I used 40 grams of Bio-Terge AS40. It initially made it quite a bit thicker requiring me to add quite a bit more water but it seemed to turn out okay 😊
Just watched your video and found it to be very informative, easy to follow instructions. (would love to make this for my grandsons) I live in Saskatchewan and we do not have a supply store here, I have to order from AB and the store I deal with does not carry decyl glucoside can I use caprylyl / capryl in its place? Any help would be very much appreciated.
Love your video. You explain each step of the way and the importance of each step which I find very helpful for a newbie such as myself. Where can I purchase the decyl glucoside and BSB from.
@@BodyHavenSoaps Thank you for your quick reply much appreciated. I usually order from Windy point but when I typed in glucoside it only came up with the capryl glucoside is it the same as decyl?
Take the 15 g BSB surfactant 3% and replace it with more Decyl Glucoside Surfactant that should work just fine and still below suggested usage rate will change the formula slightly but should work ok
Thank you for another great recipe. BSB Surfactant is not available outside of Canada apparently, we definitely can't get it in Australia. What substitute would you recommend?

Yes, absolutely as long as its a skin safe colorant it will work :), you may want to add a bit of polysorbate 80 might not be as clear but would still be beautiful
You could I am not sure of shelf life, think it would be very short and you may have to change preservative With the addition of milk this formula would change a lot for safety when I make my goats milk bath I make a powdered form
The yellow bottle is stunning
Thank you for sharing knowledge!
What is BSB Surfactant?

at the very end of the video there is a demo and then you can see how much I used out of the bottle

Can I use phenoxyethanol for my preservative?
what a great recipe! I'm just starting and am going to have a go - the way you explain everything is super helpful :)
My OCD is screaming for her to scrap that spatula.
Hi, thank you for sharing. If I have to add water to thin it, do I need to add more preservative

Is there anything that can be used instead of Bsb as we don't have it in Australia. This looks fantastic.
