    I’m curious, why did you use solar salt and can a substitute be used? Thx!

    I run everything through a sieve before adding the SLSa, that way the lumps are all gone and everything is mixed well..... BECAUSE the SLSa should not be breathed in! I actually mixed it in with a whisk while standing at my door holding the bowl outside.... much better!! Once you begin to add the liquid/oils etc, it tames down the dust.

    Hm I wouldn't have thought you needed to dry out the salts or that it would even make a difference since you didn't use any water.

    • @finnegansfinds7804
      @finnegansfinds7804  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Actually, if the salts are too wet, they will react with the other ingredients, creating air that will fill the bag, possibly even burst it. Thats why we dry them first, just in case. :)

      @@finnegansfinds7804 I think I'm confused about how drying a product with oil on it as opposed to water works. I wouldn't have thought you would have to still.

      @@DreamwalkerTenesha I would be lying if I said I understood the science of it. All I know is what I learned from experience, which was messy! Our first several batches we didn't let sit out to dry. Most of them reacted in the bags. The bags filled with air and burst, and several bags (and the salts inside) were lost. Then we started drying it first, and we havent had the problem since. Sorry I cant explain it any better.

      @@finnegansfinds7804 If I'm correct, it's the slsa which has a reaction to the baking soda. It allows the bath salts to fizz, but it causes the same reaction that the bath bombs have when using baking soda and citric acid.

      @@finnegansfinds7804 lmao right now because I followed this recipe thinking whatever I’m not gonna dry them out 😂 mine exploded 5 minutes after being packaged. Not sure if it’s because it was in a glass bottle versus plastic container as to why it happened quicker. However it scared the crap out of me and I was cracking up by myself! Very happy this comment is here because now I know I need to dry them for a REASON! 😂 hopefully tomorrow when I repackage they don’t explode and are completely dry! Thanks for sharing ✨✨✨✨
