I personally feel like this version is not regarding a flood of water, maybe a flood of emotions breaking through the dam for MJK, or whoever he is singing about. I think that's why it is so dark and haunting, because he did not expect his emotional wall to give way, but it eventually did, I can relate. Thanks guys, great job as always!
It's always such a nice touch having the clips of Maynard and Billy in the beginning of these. It guarantees I watch these vids with my tongue hanging out a foot. Thanks, guys!🖤🖤🖤
The fiddle and the drum it's a live performance but it's incredibly poetic from Maynard's part you guys will love that one I'm sure everyone will agree especially nowadays with how the world is it's the perfect song to listen to no joke
Emotive is a cover album for the most part. John Lenon song "Imagine" is on this album. Badass album guys don't skip. Also the live at Red Rocks version of this is amazing
I loved your video but guys you need to do this version live at red rocks as good as this is that blows this way it truly does Maynard's voice everything is just incredible. You need to do live at red rocks.
Paz Lenchantin was the original bassist for app, and Emotive also features her on strings as well as Danny Lohner, who played bass for NIN. Epic. The album credits I found weren’t that specific, but Emotive essentially an anti-war album. Blasted it in my car a ton. The cover of Imagine is chilling to me. But this cover of theirs is my favorite and I cry every time lol. Damn, Maynard
The girl was Paz the original bassist. I think she only did the 00/01 tour, at least that's all i remember. It sounded great when her, maynard, and billy all harmonized at parts.
You gotta do "Fiddle and the Drum" from this album! It's a cappella and idk for sure but I think Maynard does all the harmonies himself. The whole album is great (surprised, right?🤣)
Hey Guys! Oooohhhh have I been waiting for this one. This Album of Covers except for Passive and Counting Bodies is a Masterpiece IMO. This is one of my favorites. Freedom of Choice (Devo), People are People, Peace Love and Understanding, Let's have a War, etc. These are all Anti War Songs. Their song choices and interpretations are Perfect and Amazing! Please continue the Journey. Amazing show as always.
Came to say the same as many other people... You have got to react to the Red Rocks Stone and Echo version it is above and beyond beautiful... That whole show ( my personal favorite is Orestes) is perfection.
Love the channel guys I went back through your video library and I was looking to see if you have any videos on Polyphia or Tim Henson he is a guitar virtuoso it will melt your mind at how good the band is the song is playing God but everything I have heard is really good give them a try. Peace out from Stan the Alaskan
You guys need to react to Live at the Red Rocks version of this song. Along with doing a re-reaction to the song By and Down Live at the RedRocks. That song didn't grab you two the way it should have when you reacted to the studio version. Check out the live version of both these songs Live at the Red Rocks
One of my favorite covers by Maynard second to the led Zeppelin cover no quarter which is the greatest cover from any band of all time in my personal opinion 🗑️🗣️🕓🧬
BTW, I would like to help you expand on y'all's channel like you mentioned, please please check out the band Battling Delirium and the song Tantric, I'm telling you there is a reason I keep suggesting this band, there is a lot great songs and there's something special about them that I definitely know you will love, there's a few comparisons to another of y'all's favorite artists. Please check them out soon and you'll see what I'm talking about, just listen to the singer and I believe you'll see what I mean. .. I will let you know in the comments after you react to it, some more interesting things about this band.
The way Maynard sings this song makes me cry 😭 every time I hear it. It is far better than Led Zeppelin's .... that's just my opinion. I also always think of Hurricane Katrina when I hear this.
@@michaelkogut7661 Their arrangement is so beautiful! The piano sounds like rain and or tears. It invokes more emotion for me. The live performance is far better than the album. 💙
The live version of this is sooo beautiful! The concert at Red Rocks in general blew me away
I agree! 👍💯
That version is tops in my book. That was an amazing concert
I agree the live version is one of Maynard’s best vocal performances 👍
yeah, i saw them at the Fox Theater in i think it was 07 or 08 and they played this song... sounded amazing
That is their best performance by far I have watched the whole concert many times.
This whole album is covers guys.
"Imagine" is one you HAVE to listen to. That and "fiddle and the drum" will give you chills.
Great album. People are people and Freedom of Choice too.
I love “peace, love and understanding.”

Maynard took Memphis Minnie's and Kansas Joe's classic and paid homage but made it his own. ✌️
So so so chill. Here for it. Trash talkers way to go great song recamadation
I dig when reactors take the time to search for the facts relating to the song/artist they’re about to react to.
LIVE Version coming soon I hope???? I assure you both it's well worth it!
The live version of this at Red rocks is 100 times better. One of my favourite songs ever. You guys have to listen to it, completely different
It's actually a cover of a cover!
Yes it is, a lot of zeppelin's songs are covers.
It's always such a nice touch having the clips of Maynard and Billy in the beginning of these. It guarantees I watch these vids with my tongue hanging out a foot. Thanks, guys!🖤🖤🖤
I hadn’t heard this one yet. Love it!!! The use of piano for like rain drops is cool.
As already mentioned in the comments, the live at red rocks version is phenomenal.

The live version is amazing.
Billy Howard’s does a lot of the backing vocals. I I remember correctly, he does all of the vocals on a song off of this album.
GIMMIE, GIMMIE MAYBE.
Paz Lenchantin was the original bassist for app, and Emotive also features her on strings as well as Danny Lohner, who played bass for NIN. Epic. I saw the first tour as well. Saw them at the Paramount in Seattle.
Maynard was rocking the long Blonde Wig and Bell bottoms.
Great Show BTW.
You gotta do "Fiddle and the Drum" from this album! It's a cappella and idk for sure but I think Maynard does all the harmonies himself. The whole album is great (surprised, right?🤣)
To this day "Fiddle and the Drum" still wrecks me...
Thanks for doing this song, I'm a Maynard fan but somehow never realized this was Zeppelin cover
The video you guys are referring to was by the channel rocked. Which is quite hilarious because I actually just watch that about three days ago
Even let's have a war. It's like an old 70s punk song
Morning fellas! That was awesome! Great song! Just beautiful! Loved seeing y'all bobbing your heads to it!🤓❤️
This song is such a vibe. 🎶
Listen to this live and redo the react. It's pure gold
A very sophisticated type sound to this. Really unique.
Emotive is basically a cover album with their own twist on the songs
P.S. You haven't done "Fiddle and the Drum" yet? Ooooweeee...
The vocal layering in that one is done SO well. One of my favorites.
Stone and Echo full album reaction would be epic
I blast this song flying down the highway!!!
Oh damn, I hoped this was the live version.
Hey Guys!

Amazing show as always.
Great song to smoke a joint and chill on rainy day to
Bit off topic but it would be funny if somehow you could react to the Southpark Concert they have Rush and Primus helping them out.
Wow, never heard this. Thanks!!!
As you can tell, we want you to listen to the live at red rocks version now. Of all the songs. Buy the whole concert and hook it up.
The David Bowie song "Ashes to ashes" is another cover they did it's phenomenal.
Please check out travelling riverside blues from Led Zeppelin ✌️
Came to say the same as many other people... You have got to react to the Red Rocks Stone and Echo version it is above and beyond beautiful... That whole show ( my personal favorite is Orestes) is perfection.
You guys could definitely rap over that track and do it justice
Got trip-hop vibes
Hold on a sec guys,
Just need to add this to the Playlist.
Yes finally!
Both versions are beautiful, LZ's too. And I am pretty sure, that the first version from Kansas Joe McCoy and Memphis Minnie is as well great
Must do live performance of this song please!!!
!00% boys.... Watch their Red Rocks concert. Amazing!!!!!
You have to do the live version!!!
They also do bohemian rhapsody
FYI it’s was a cover for Led Zeppelin as well
Love the channel guys I went back through your video library and I was looking to see if you have any videos on Polyphia or Tim Henson he is a guitar virtuoso it will melt your mind at how good the band is the song is playing God but everything I have heard is really good give them a try. It was Paz which is my daughter's middle name.

Do the live version! LIVE. LIVE. LIVE.
Puscifer does a queen cover "bohemian rhapsody"
Check out Taurus by Spirit, where zeppelin got there idea for STH, when they were the opening band for Spirit.
Pull Down the Sun - Turehu 🦋👌🙏
Hey Trash Talkers. Listen to Check Ya by From Zero. It has a Linkin Park feel to it. You'll love it.
If you haven't done so, deftones featuring Maynard "passenger"
Just searched for a fiddle and the drum reaction and looks like no one has touched it
Struttin" by Thumpasaurus. Have to react to the video.
Do "Diary of a Love Song" - Ozzy/The Cure. Not expecting it though, not easy to come across.
Try you some Playing For Change
Passive is a good song off this album!!
I think they used to call that Vacant when they played it live originally back in the day... taperworm song ithink
When the leevee breaks is a led zep song.
That's why this is called a cover song. But Zeppelin covered the song from Memphis Minnie and Kansas Joe
Check out the Red Rocks version if tiu haven't 🤷♂️
Eat The Elephant - title song, when? :D
really? not the live version? this is an injustice
One of my favorite covers by Maynard second to the led Zeppelin cover no quarter which is the greatest cover from any band of all time in my personal opinion 🗑️🗣️🕓🧬
Ya'll gotta check out Suicide Boys new album!
GUYS, GUYS , ...GUYS...........GREAT SONG HAS ALWAYS........I JUST SAW THE MOST CRAZIST VIDEO......DO KIM DRACULA MAKE ME FAMOUS , WORTH IT

Did you guys do "imagine"?
Yes
O and the live version at the red rocks is fire it's completely different than this version.
Your reaction to this song tells me you must react to the band stateless. Your missing out honestly!
Imagine John Lennon.
Sweet baby jaysus 🙈🙉 make it stop
Day 68 of requesting Alestorm’s “P.A.R.T.Y”, I feel you guys would love it!
The way Maynard sings this song makes me cry 😭 every time I hear it. It is far better than Led Zeppelin's .... that's just my opinion.
I also always think of Hurricane Katrina when I hear this.
Not even close to Zeppelin
@@michaelkogut7661 Their arrangement is so beautiful! The piano sounds like rain and or tears. It invokes more emotion for me. The live performance is far better than the album. 💙
@@michaelkogut7661 that's the point.
You should try listening to the version John Paul Jones did for the Playing For Change charity. Its pretty amazing.
Nope, did nothing for me....sorry
Hideously awful. How this white noise even qualifies as music is incomprehensible.
That is dreadful. Never heard of A Perfect Circle and with that rubbish I doubt I ever will hear another one of its songs.
Not for me ,thumbs down.
Ughh yuck I am NOT a tool or maynard fan, and this cover sucks.
Just…. No
Paz Lenchantin- she's seen your videos lol Billy does the background vocals.
