Every person I’ve met who’s into bdsm can agree that you need 100% consent in order to do things. Most people would never do bdsm with a vulnerable person, consent is important, kids
I personally take part in BDSM and I can confirm that consent is everything. There's absolutely no relationship without consent. The safe word is important, take notes kids.

That’s what my ex and the father of my baby tried to do just last year after taking advantage of my mental illnesses specifically my DID and paranoia personality disorder and took my meds & therapist away isolated me brainwashed me convinced me my family hated me got on drugs and drinking all the time was sexually mentally emotionally psychologically financially abusive to me and was in to necrophilia specifically with my dead body and was very racist open about it too towards me watched me almost die 4 times told my mom to leave when I was overdosing on fent he had given me told my mom that I told him to shoot me on Xmas day when I never had this conversation with him and then would flirt with others in front of me who were 18-26 years old I was 22-23 when with him and he was 35 now 36 and uhm I left finally when he made extremely pedophilic comments about my daughter and was extremely angry I chose to not abort her and was sexually abusing me because I didn’t want to… this was the second time I’ve fallen in to this issue minus the pregnancy and drugs but instead the selling of me for cigarettes and alcohol and making me do extremely degrading and traumatizing things then told my mom I was trying to run away with 40 different men and my mom should come get me and she did come get me and I never told her about any of it with either till this year so I said all of that to say the fear is rational and don’t let anyone tell you it’s not don’t let anyone gaslight you in to doubting yourself because deep down your mind knows when it’s not safe and I would hate to see anything that I’ve been through or close to happen to another vulnerable person because it’s the worst thing to feel you don’t have control over yourself at all I wish you all the best things in the world and to have no more trauma added to your life
This is a really interesting case, but I have something to say. Realistically, who would disclose their kinks and fetishes to their own relatives? Especially BDSM. Of course she didn’t want her family to know about that, because it’s not something that you casually mention. And how would police just assume that her family would be aware of her kinks?
Im quite open with my mother! My mom and i have a great relationship enough to where we can talk about our kinks (within boundaries). My mom and i had a conversation just the other day over how theres studies that prove that kinks may be genetic and how they can form from your environment! You never know the kind of relationship someone has with their family!
Bdsm without consent is ABUSE! I remember when I first got in a kink relationship, before one of the scenes my partner asked if I gave consent, I replied “I don’t know, maybe?” My partner refused to move forward until I gave my full consent. I’m so glad she was understanding and didn’t manipulate or pressure me at all,
@@alphabetiris4094 this was a killer who was trying to hide behind bdsm. He purposely chose that website, then purposely sought after suicidal women. Didn't seem like an innocent kink or play, he entered those chatrooms with the intentions of murdering someone.

This happened about 5 minutes down the road from where I live and honestly the amount of kink shaming etc that went along with it was insane. It was almost like the community had forgotten Elaine was a victim. So happy you covered it so well though thank you xx
People have the right to find something weird. Nobody is gonna change the way they feel about something just for other strangers their ease. As long as they’re respectful i don’t see the issue.
@@tarrynkoko602 I hope so, but I dont have many friends now since I cut out some toxic friends (transphobes and homophobes). Poor Elaine. My heart breaks for her. My mom lost her battle of depression, bipolar disorder and schizophrenia when she was 36 to suicide, I was 12. I feel for Elaine. Seeing my mom go through that, trying so hard to just get better and wanting to be okay… ugh. I know suicide wasn’t the case for Elaine but that’s such a hard life to live. Thinking of you tonight Mom and Elaine ❤️
this case doesnt quite sit right with me. her entire personal, intimate sexual life has been broadcasted to the entire world, airing out her dirty laundry. i know it does wake important questions about bdsm and consent, but imagine if she knew that after her death. i mean, a million people has seen this video alone. i cant imagine the embarrassment. some things are just meant to be kept private. poor woman, what a tragic story. rest in peace
Well I doubt she’s embarrassed or even knows so there’s that it also was needed to get her justice and give her family closer even if it opened a new door.
Ehh, maybe I'm the one in the wrong here, but no matter how embarrassing, if sharing the story and details of my murder could potentially help even ONE other person think twice about that one encounter that seems off, or save just ONE human from injury or worse, then share it. I don't personally care about the embarrassment in this situation, doubt it would sting quite as much post-mortem, anyway.
The therapist didn’t “leak” what she was talking about. She had notes and since Elaine was murdered, anything Elaine said to her therapist could be crucial to the investigation and clearly it was because those fantasies played a part
The way you go so deep into the victim's past is so humane and makes their deaths so much more sad and real... you're super respectful, the only true crime youtuber who doesn't feel icky to me tbh. No glorification of the killers whatsoever, it's amazing
You can tell how uncommon it is for these kinds of things to happen in Ireland even just based on how much effort the police put in, and how they individually cared deeply about things that would seem very small.
Are we talking about Sexual Violence and Murder here? It's as common in Ireland as anywhere else in Western Europe I would think. As u/Lauren Thompson said the Gardaí Síochana are mostly just incompetent. And in my and many other people's opinion the law is too lenient with sexual assault and rape.
I don't think the guards are that incompetent. They do their best and they solved this. The issue IMO is our awful judges and sentencing guidelines. People who harm children getting probation etc.
Can we just talk about the dog, Millie, bringing back a frickin personal snack from each walk!?! The freaking horrors of that is something so creepy idk if I could ever get over or even look at that dog in the same way without being reminded and then wondering, are they thinking about eating me?!!
i see alot of people talking about consent in the comments, yes its important, but BDSM also includes- safe words, the stop light method for those who go non verbal, after care, communication and so much more to make sure both parties are safe. im not bashing Eleanor but this wasnt BDSM. this was abuse. as the title states it was a horrific murder disguised as bdsm.
@@neet4neet so there are many stop light methods the most common one is using green as 'okay' yellow as 'i need a break' and red as 'stop' but people also use a finger method. holding up one finger to say theyre okay, two to say they need a break and 3 to say stop if they are unable to talk or non verbal. theres also pre determined hand signals people use, or like tugging on someone's hair two times etc. its a very vast spectrum that is dependent on the partners preference's but the point is that something like these should always be in place so that everyone is safe
@@lurji aftercare should be given in all sex, vanilla sex included. aftercare isnt mending injuries its as simple as 'did you have fun' and 'lemme get you a glass of water' 'are you hungry' or even cleaning the person up in regards to fluids. aftercare can be given to both partied involved a top or a bottom. its just the ralxing period after the activity. you practice aftercare in every part of your life, after a work out you relax and hydrate. after a stressful day at work you wind down with a nap or watching tv, why should it not be practiced after sex. the one point i agree wittth you is thatt if the sexual act is so traumatising then it is abuse. but thats why BDSM partners specifically have the methods i mentioned before such as the stop light method and safe words, aswell as a length conversation before hand with what theyre comfortable with, to make sure its not a traumatising experience. therefor not abuse. i studied criminology in college and actually wrote about cases that involve 'bdsm'. in almost all of them it wasnt about control during intercourse. these people are sexual sociopatths who hidde their crimes under the guise of BDSM. tthe dont want to control their partner during sex, tthey want to control their partners in everything they do, they know they want to kill them befdorhand. they pray on less expierienced people (in most cases) so these people dont know the community and whats okay and what isnt. what makes this easier is the stigmatisation around this kind of thing, therefore causing a lack of awareness that you, yourself, have displayed regarding aftercare and methods to make sure everyone is comfortable and safe.
It is so so important we could all do with some work in that part of our lives, anyone and everyone will only benefit from looking after then mental health :)
Cases where the victim has such bad mental health are so morbidly hard to listen to. The fact that sometimes it just doesn’t get better. Sometimes you just suffer then die. It’s depressing to think about
I love her giggling out of sheer embarrassment from having to address the sexual components of this case bc it is all too relatable, like an instant, involuntary immaturity some of us tend to regress towards when broaching such a subject.
@@robinmcinarnay7827 its okay to giggle, but calling this Lady mad and then proceeding to San Holger mich she wanna hug her because her life was so rough Makel no f Ing sense
On her long term therapist dying I really feel for her. I had a child psychologist from the ages of 10 to 18 overseeing my ADHD treatment and although I haven’t seen him in 7 years I’d STILL be devastated if I heard he’d died. You get so attached to these people who are trying to ensure you’re health and treatments are going well.
I know it's a silly example but it reminds me of the episode of Monk when his long-time psychiatrist passes away (sadly because the actor died in real life) and it makes you think how crushing it would be to lose such a confidante.
As someone who’s brought up kinks to their therapist, sometimes its for context, sometimes its to explain the way you wanna feel with certain people or like a kind of connection you want, it really depends. But there’s definitely a purpose to talking about kinks with therapists. Kinks can really tell a lot about your inner wants and your mental state so its definitely valid to talk about it
Hey Eleanor! This may be an odd request but would you want to cover the case of my cousin? His case is very fresh as he was arrested in the end of 2020. He killed 3 women and one man that we know of-two of them being considered missing persons until the truth came out and one of the missing girls was actually a case from 2005 that had gone cold. His first murder was in Germany and the rest in the US so they are calling him an international serial killer. His name is Harold David Haulman and he had victims in Germany, Michigan and Pennsylvania. The victims we know of, anyway. The whole family thinks there are more. This is a cousin I was very close to.
I am. I recently spoke to his daughter, she’s about 15 now. Her mom is sort of in the picture but my cousin had sole custody and now his parents do. Thankfully she already had a positive relationship established with a therapist before allllll this happened so she is coping fairly well. When given the opportunity to say goodbye to her dad before he went to prison for the rest of his natural life (2 life sentences, no parole) she asked if she HAD to. Her grandparents told her no and she chose not to. She has spent the last two years learning how to draw and she’s really good! My aunt is really struggling though. She keeps thinking that she must’ve done something to cause my cousin to become who he is. That it’s somehow her fault. That breaks my heart.
@@autumncoerver6645 that's awful for your aunt. But good on the daughter! It must be awful on any normal family that produces a killer. I wish you all peace
I just looked up the case and didn't even know about it. I'm from Luzerne county pa and grew up close to Luzerne county jail. I also haven't watched the news in years but I was active on Facebook back then. So idk how I missed this. Crazy thing is that he used meetme to find girls in Pennsylvania, and I have used meetme since it became MeetMe. I wonder if I had a message from him 🤔 I know I definitely got asked about bdsm multiple times from guys. It blows my mind that I could have potentially been a victim if I decided to be curious about that lifestyle. 😮 it's definitely crossed my mind from time to time.
I can relate to a lot of small details in this video. When her father texted her “are you alive” jokingly… I hadn’t heard from my best friend in a week or two. We were going through one of those distance phases. I messaged her “hey you alive lmao?” I went to her fb. Her mother posted she had passed away. Fuck, it’s a terrible feeling.
Eleanor tell us you’re uncomfortable without telling us you’re uncomfortable 😂🤣 it was the tripping on words and “I don’t know I just don’t know” part for me 🤣
I'm so glad you've chosen to cover this case Eleanor. I'm from Ireland and this case is one that has always really bothered and upset me. I could never figure out, especially considering how much we talk about gaslighting and consent and such in social media, that more channels haven't drawn attention to it and to what happened to Elaine. She was clearly a victim of abuse and suffered from mental health issues and only through pure coincidental circumstances was this discovered to be a murder and not a suicide. The man almost got away with his crime and continues to try appeal against the use of the evidence in the case to overthrow his conviction. Thank you for bringing attention to Elaine and to the tragedy that was her murder.
I’m from Dublin ,you know as well as I do the Conservative media doesn’t talk about murders where sex is involved. Ireland is the 21st century but the media especially R.T.E is in the 19th century 🙄❤️🇮🇪
i’m so glad this topic is talked about. my ex r/ped me and he says it was “consensual non consent” when i never said i was comfortable doing that. i appreciate you for bringing this to light
I am amazed and so appreciative of the fact that police didn’t rule her disappearance a suicide from the get go. I’m so glad that they kept their eye on the case and actually kept investigating. We see it all the time in cases where the police decide it’s a suicide despite soooo much evidence to the contrary. I’m glad that Elaine’s case has been solved.
People who take advantage of the kink community like the person who committed this murder gives the whole thing a bad name. Kink is consensual. Kink is safe. Kink is sane. Safe, sane, consensual, SSC, is like the first tenant of BDSM.
@@justthetip355 that’s exactly why it’s for a specific group of people. You either get it or you don’t and that’s perfectly alright. Everyone has their preferences. But consent is the number one most important component, always!
There is also RACK-Risk-Aware Consensual Kink. You can take safety measures to mitigate risk, but there will often still be some risk, and we can consent.
@@justthetip355 Pain is literally in your head. When you get used to something like waxing your legs, for instance, it’s because your brain has learned that that action won’t harm you, and so stops interpreting those nerve signals as pain. You know how you can flick your temple when you have a headache, and that can help it feel better, but someone else flicking your temple hurts? When you do it, your brain knows you aren’t at risk of harming yourself. I enjoy getting spanked until I bruise. It’s a mind-trip hold out longer than the one holding the flogger, and knowing I have the power to stop it all if I want. You don’t have to like it for it to be okay.
@@justthetip355 is totally normal when it’s not a part of tour life or who you are. But that’s why I love it when ppl cover cases like this. We’ve all got a little masochist in us that manifests in one way or another 😁 namaste
That "contract" is a HUGE red flag. Can't be terminated early for any reason? Yeah no, If someone doesn't want to continue in kink for any reason, it ends right then and there. The number one most important thing in kink is enthusiastic, continuous consent.
Mental health is so very important. People generally fail to understand what depression is like, so it makes it harder to get along. I think Elaine never really got her comfort zone with anyone she knew. Whoever she trusted, she kept losing them with time.

I'm an occasional explorer into the BDSM world; my partner was a regular participant before we started our relationship (he actually makes up most of my experience). When we were still friends, mostly online, he asked me once, "Are you owned?" I wasn't sure what he meant so I joked about sexual slavery, and he said that was exactly what he was talking about. He's very respectful, and has told me that being a dom is a lot of responsibility because he has to be aware of the sub's well being as well as his own. We both wish more people considered that aspect of things; I've been abused before without even realizing it.

This doesn't pertain to the video, but if Eleanor could share this story. A girl named Jennifer Caridad has been missing from Sunnyside, WA since August. She was last seen with her ex boyfriend Aurelio Escobar. Her ex went on a crime spree through Washington state and into Oregon that ended in a shoot out with police in Medford, Oregon. During this crime spree he stole Jennifer's parents car. The car was later recovered close to a lake in Yakima, WA with a significant amount of blood in the back seat. Jennifer's clothes and some belonging were also found at said lake. Jennifer Caridad has been missing since August and the police have given up on finding her.

I find it really heartwarming that, in this terribly awful story, the community all seemed to do the right thing to get this woman justice. We hear so many stories of cases being mishandled and evidence being ignored, but everyone in this story (the man on the bridge, the men who found the handcuffs, the woman with the dog, the cop who went back to search the waters) did the right thing and went the extra mile to help get justice for this woman whose case was LITERALLY CLOSED already.

My thoughts exactly. Sadly it was necessary to convict him, but it's horrendous all the same.

It’s very common in Ireland, our guards are extremely incompetent. In elaines case it was lucky that there was good ones involved
People who harm children getting probation etc.

whats the stop light method?
@@neet4neet so there are many stop light methods the most common one is using green as 'okay' yellow as 'i need a break' and red as 'stop' but people also use a finger method. holding up one finger to say theyre okay, two to say they need a break and 3 to say stop if they are unable to talk or non verbal. theres also pre determined hand signals people use, or like tugging on someone's hair two times etc. its a very vast spectrum that is dependent on the partners preference's but the point is that something like these should always be in place so that everyone is safe
@@JustAPeachyDay thank you !!
bdsm is abuse; if the sex is so rough and traumatizing it needs "aftercare" then its not sex its abuse

You get so attached to these people who are trying to ensure you’re health and treatments are going well.

As someone who’s brought up kinks to their therapist, sometimes its for context, sometimes its to explain the way you wanna feel with certain people or like a kind of connection you want, it really depends. I want to send a clip of "that's why you've got a phone, to take it out with ya" in Eleanor's amazing voice to my father. The man forgets his phone at the worst times!!
Haha 😂 I know the feeling! I don’t even know why my Dad has a phone! He never has it on him and never answers! His family could all be dead and he wouldn’t know for days!
@@shannonrosenbaum7306 I was in the emergency room for over 4 hours, and waiting on a bed to open for admission for around 8 hours, before anyone could reach him. That was two weeks ago. Lol.
@@Bmoore295 omg I’m so sorry to hear that you were in the emergency room! Don’t worry though, you aren’t alone! If that would have been me, I would have been in the same position as you! Get it together dads! Lol
Thank you for not demonizing BPD (borderline personality disorder) as someone who suffers with BPD. Long time subscriber and huge fan, wonderful to see that there are good non judgmental people out there. Key basic of BDSM: Safe, Sane, Consensual. So as a kinky person with BPD and mental health struggles I really appreciate representation without demonizing it. Thank you Eleanor! ❤️🥺
I find it funny how people like you complain how you're so judged, yet are the reason you are judged. Take a look in the mirror.
@@littlewillow2274 this person has said nothing deserving of negative judgement. how bout you just don't be an ass
@@fishled Oh please, these kinds of people a lot of the time bring the judgement on themselves. I'm pretty sure I was talking to this person, not you, so how about you stop kissing ass and step to the side.
@@littlewillow2274 what are you talking about sienna?
@@clay9909 About the fact that these people are the reason why others judge them.
Why the police didn't check her laptop and / or phone immediately and in-depth in the year 2012 is beyond me. I can't think of a single solved case this century that wasn't somehow tied to data from a phone or laptop.
That opening card is so awesome. I love the new way she is opening the stories now. The “teaser” openings she has been doing make the story so intriguing. But more than anything I truly appreciate the disclosure and the heads up for triggers.
2 videos in a row, Eleanor you are too good to us ❤🙏🏻
I love watching Eleanor because she has such a wide variety of cases that are always so interesting
Really enjoyed seeing your personality shine through in the editing of this one! 😄
I really came home from work intending to cry myself to sleep when I remembered I still hadn’t finished this video or part 2. Your videos bring me reprieve on days I just want to give up and I can’t thank you enough for that Eleanor. Seriously, thank you so much love♥️🤍
I hope you’re having a day as beautiful as yourself wherever you are and can’t wait for your next videos!
Sending love 💕
I recommend this case ages ago to Mollie Westbrook, before I was familiar with you Eleanor. Didn't get a response so it put me off recommending to anyone else. I'm so pleased you covered this. Its so heartbreaking, sad and definitely worth sharing with others. I hope it helps people recognise the warning signs of this situation. Much love.
No! Keep requesting! I requested Aundria Bowman to many creatures! Finally, two covered her case! Rachel Shannon and Sherrilyn Dale!
The “solved true crime case” gives me so much happiness 🥰
I hear you. Unsolved cases hurt my heart.
I love getting notifications that Eleanor uploaded just as I’m about to try and find something to watch
you’re not apart of the BSDM community if you or your partner aren’t consenting at anytime. Or if boundaries are pushed. It’s hard to say no, body language and emotions are also signs of a non-consenting person.
Eleanor, you are so sweet and respectful! My favourite lines:
"I just want to give her a hug."
"Mad, bit mad..."
Thank you for your hard work and inclusivity with a different range of stories. I really appreciate it and I’m sure many others do!! Sending the best of love :)
I absolutely adore you Eleanor!!! I have heard this case before but somehow the way you cover cases makes it seem new with all the details you add.
I just now noticed Eleanor has nearly 2 Million subs! When did this happen? I've been watching regularly for years now but never look at the sub count. Seeing how she's grown and has become such a beautiful and successful woman is amazing. Congratulations, Eleanor. You definitely deserve it.
I actually have a friend who does autopsies onces the body has fully decomposed. So basically if there are only bones left the body would go to them and they would perform an autopsy and send reports back to the police. Bless people who does this!
I know I love someone and their voice when I don’t skip through the sponsor portion 😆
What😂
i’m loving your new intros so much! been watching you for ages i’m so proud of you & how far you’ve come🖤🥺
I am so grateful you covered this case. I remember where I was in life when the trial was going on... Poor Elaine, we were all so upset at what happened to her ❤ the whole country were hooked during the trial. We just wanted the horrid person responsible to suffer the consequences of their actions. Not many have covered this case so thank you .
The fact that I usually watch ur 2parters when they're already out....ugh I'm so impatient I absolutely NEED to hear Eleanor tell me the rest of Elaine's story !!!
Elaine fought even after death, she fought to have her case reopened. Enticing the men to the shiny things, staying present in the mind of that man and the officer, leading the dog to her body. She was trying to solve her case.
my new greatest fear: dying and my photo and all my weird fetishes being posted in a video
I relate to her mental health struggles bc I've been dealing with severe depression since I was a young teenager and some days I just want to end things. Here's to hoping things get better 🤞🏼
❤️
@@ufoparking I'll keep mine 🤞🏼 for u if u keep yours🤞🏼for me!
I'm so sorry you deal with this. I know it can get really bad and I wish the best for anyone dealing with depression. Just know your life is worth living and people care for you. And as a stranger, I hope for the best for you and hope you can tackle it and any hardship. 💜💙❤️
Sending love
@@hobbs317 thank you for those kind words that truly means a lot 🖤🖤sending love
Living so close to all these places and being there soo many times and never ever hearing about Elaine’s case is kind of shocking for me to hear,I feel like i never realize how such horrible things can happen so close to home
As someone with BPD, a lot of meds can make things worse and have that zombie effect.
So relieved that one of these cases had good police work done throughout the investigation for once. I like hearing that there's still SOME cops that take these things very seriously
this is what i’m doing on a saturday when i have no friends 😍
You are not alone ..
lmfaoo same 😍

Let’s take a moment to appreciate 2 videos in 2 days !! Love the consistency
I love your content eleanor, your one of the very few people who respect the victims and take the cases seriously
Eleanor looks and sounds so happy and healthy. Like- she sounds so much more energetic. Hope you're doing well, Eleanor
The documentary I watched about Elaine is honestly the true crime documentary that has stayed with me for years. The feeling I felt when I finished watching it was so strong I felt genuinely devastated like I knew her when it ended. She deserved so much better
Eleanor, I’ve been a subscriber for a long time. Your content from day one has been great but you have consistently gotten better and better ! I’m so happy every time I see you upload!!!!
This is a very interesting but very sad case. I am thankful you said this would be solved. I do hope Elaine gets the justice she deserves and her family gets answers. I can imagine Elaine being finally at peace and happy with her mother and best friend she lost as a teenager. RIP Elaine ♥️🙏🏻
As always, I appreciate so much the level of research you do to really let us get an idea and appreciation for who these individuals were in life and death. Thank you
We stan police officers who go above and beyond like this guy! Well done!
Oh hi taro
No we don’t .. that’s what they’re supposed to do
You mean they are supposed to protect and serve?
I think it’s weird that it took so long for them to actually go into her apartment to check on her. Especially with her suicide attempts and mental history
I find it crazy that BDSM is so weird to regular people. I’ve always done it, and I don’t do the super sick abusive crazy stuff but all the stuff she had is pretty vanilla with a dash of chocolate syrup… but the killing (or faux killing) is the next level stuff I’m not into…
What is the “super sick abusive crazy stuff” that you are referring to??
@@lucifernazaedi i imagine they're referring to slave or extreme pet dynamics. or edge play. just a guess though
@@ashmondthesoutherntrashmon2210 out of all the things thats what you assume is "Sick" and "Abusive" stuff
if its abuse its not bdsm
you say sick abusive crazy stuff is bdsm? bruh what
