Nice job Alex! Never seen the wood block remedy before. Those engines just dont sound as good as a Briggs. At least the deck wasn't all rotted out and needing spindles and blades. You got away with not spending a bunch of money on this one. ✌🎥🇺🇸💰
Thank you Roger. Yes I got pretty lucky with this one needing not much at all besides valve adjustment and getting the deck squared away. The lumber was a first for me as well. I need to make a list of home repairs I’ve come across haha.
I have the same engine on a old rider I just sold it with over 1100 hrs on it biggest reason why they blow because of not using full synthetic oil 10/30 Royal purple is my favorite
I have a Troy Bilt on that same platform. They add a half inch to the deck belt just to make you buy theirs. I just went down a size, and I have never had an issue with it.
Just want to say I love your channel. I just flipped my first riding mower for $350 plus extra $40 to deliver. I got it for free and put $75 into it. It was a rear engine poulan pro 30” deck.
I bought 2 of these pieces of junk last year thinking it was a head gasket, but turned out they were both toast. Swore I wouldn't buy another. Fast forward a year and I just bought one last week only because it is mostly running and driving. It just needs a governor adjustment and loose steering fixed. Glad to see this one worked out for you, great work and great video!
That’s the only reason I got this one as well. I knew the steering was tight and I have another deck if needed, but the engine at least ran decent. I’ve had two others that were blown up. Honestly I would rather have a kohler courage on here and that’s another clunker haha. Thanks for stopping by.
You really didn't have do do a lot of tinkering with this one. You have a good eye for picking a diamond in the rough. Thanks for entertaining me again. i enjoyed both videos on this one.

That machine looks very good. I like to take time to clean everything as much as possible. My thinking is, th better it looks the more money I can make. I have repainted the decks and that alone will impress buyers. I always clean and sharpen the blades, power wash both top and bottom, make sure the spindles and idler bearings are good. Just like what you are doing. Great job Sir!😊
Great fix just a heads up when you loosened the gap on the intake valve you did it on video anyway with the locking nut tighten down. That has caused me issues in the past where it will loosen the stud in the head and then the tractor after use will back that stud out of the head and the tractor looses power. Looks great. I have not worked on those type engines before but the issue I had was on a B&S. Thank you for sharing.
I worked on my Sisters tractor that had that 420 Powermore in it and it was sounding really bad and breaking starters before i watched your other video last year on the 420 engine valve adjustment. It is a gurgly sounding machine. I would prob recommend checking valve lash every year on these things. (hard to set) Thanks for both vids.
How old was that mower? Idle sounds a little odd to me. Also, it seemed to be slow going forward. Don’t get me wrong, just trying to learn a little more about small engines. It has been a while since I have done much with them. Just noticed at the end, it sounds better.
My friend Nick from Bellport has had quite a few Powermore 420cc engines that were actually running. They certainly are rare when they’re running. Nevertheless bro, $150 is a good deal. Nice job bro.
I've got a T3200 that's giving me a hard time. Got it for free. Ran great but wouldn't move, and electronic pto won't engage. Replaced the shredded drive belt and got it moving. Checked Voltage to the PTO when I first got it. It was 13+V Took PTO off and bench tested it, works fine. After reinstalling, now only getting 1-2 volts to the PTO, and headlights no longer work. Replaced pto switch, and key switch. Different battery. No dice. Any ideas? Thanks
It could be a bad connection on the wiring going to the PTO but that’s odd with the headlights. Possibly could have connection issues with a ground wire. Hard to diagnose through message, but start with the easy stuff.
Have you ever sold a mower that a customer later said had issues? How did you solve that problem and how do you prevent / test for issues while it’s still in your possession so that customers don’t have any issues.
I normally cut the yard for about 20-30 minutes with them after repairs are complete. I have had a couple times in the past were there was a small issue. I went ahead and fixed it for them. Realistically they are buying a used lawnmower so I’m not responsible after selling, but I try to help the best I can.
I have a lot of 60/70 year old customers and I’ve put them on there riding mowers and they say it’s a big help turning I put two sets on free to test them and then they all wanted them Small town talks😊
I was a little skeptical as well. I ended up trying another muffler and cleared up all of the noise I was hearing. The internal baffling had come loose.
That was the correct key switch. I have several riding mower built on that same platform, and they all have that switch.

Where do you get your LED bulbs?
I've worked on a few of these riding mowers with that same engine and i had to repower them, not a big fan of those engines

It’s a JNC660. You can find it on Amazon. It’s been great for me the last 3 years. I’ve jumped hundreds of mowers with it.

I bought a craftsman that had cheap 11hp chinese motor. Think it’s called Zongshen engine
I believe that’s who makes this one as well. It’s a Chinese made engine from what I’ve researched.

I have not yet. I’ve seen a few people do them on John Deere’s. I do want to try that at some point and see how much difference it makes.
