#hipaparts #mower #mechanic www.hipastore.com I picked up this craftsman YT3000 last year that had a bad engine for $50. Let’s take a good engine and get this mower going again.
Nice job! The deck on my 2004 Craftsman DLT3000 rotted out, so I bought a replacement deck and two new spindles from Husqvarna. I transferred the other parts with new bolts and nuts and installed a new belt, as well. Blades were practically new. Got it together, broke-in the belt and it's ready for 19 more seasons. Love that Craftsman red!
That tractor is perfect. I'm looking for one like this for my parents farm. I haven't found anything nearly as nice. I'd buy one off you but living in Maine that would be a haul lol. Thanks for making these great videos. So glad your back Alex!
Very nice, that’s gonna be one happy customer! I really like HiPA carbs, I never have any trouble with them and they always come with good quality gaskets and hoses. Good stuff!
@@philliphall5198 hmm, not as far as I know. I’ve used HiPA kits on customers mowers and when they come back a year or two later for pre-season tuneups (or after they hit a tree stump lol) I’ve never noticed the fuel line being hardened up. I always pinch the fuel line off before tipping the mower up for service to keep gas from running out of the carb and they always seem ok. I’ll have to keep a look out for that, thanks.
Someone's getting a very nice tractor Alex! My favorite resale red color also. I bet your very busy and i always look forward to your videos. Take care and have nice 4th of July with your family! 👍🎥🇺🇸
Thank you Roger. My favorite color as well. I’ve come down with a fever currently but I’ll be back on my feet soon. I hope you are doing well and really hope you have a great 4th as well 😎🇺🇸
Hy Alex, greetings from Germany! Nice job again and thanks for the video! Your t-shirt showed: it was crazy hot 🔥 Have a nice Sunday and I will be watching next time, always my entertainment at the weekend evenings 👍🍀🌞
@@philliphall5198 in Germany it‘s a mixture of temperatures between 72 - 78 F and heavy rains and flooding sometimes, thunderstorms and hail. Not really summer vacation conditions.
Alex, impressive as always!! You always take these neglected machines and turn them into awesome running and cutting units. Your patience and attention to detail is above a ton of other small engine channels. I wish i lived in your area, id definitely buy a rider, push mower, trimmer, blower, chainsaw or any other unit off you. Keep up the great work and stay cool in this heat. Hope ya have a super 4th🎉🎉 the 4th of July is my birthday.
Thanks for another informative video showing engine swap! I hope my 2016 Craftsman T1200 keeps running well so that I only have to do routine maintenance. My 2007 Craftsman 22in. push mower is still going strong.
I need some advice please. My 21hp single cylinder Briggs Intek blew a hole in the side of the block. Where do you guys find the best cheap used engine at? Facebook and Craigslist have a surprisingly bad selection of engines to buy. Any tips?
Glad you got another engine for the YT mower I just got The new mower deck installed on my craftsman ys mower that poulan mower with the plastic transmission will be a great mower for you to replace the transmission and another engine Alex
I had a question an engine overheated and then stopped running I thought I would give it a jump that didn't work then I checked the fuse it was okay by the time I did jump it again I wait it cooled off and then it started again after jumping up but then it's still didn't act right and I'm going to switch Motors and then I want to tear it down to see what happened this never happened to me before one of these Troy-Bilt even though 1,500 I paid it's a piece of junk brand new but anyways thank you for the video
Alex, good looking Crafty for $50. Good save.

Nice job man, Kind of surprised those exhaust pipe bolts were loose, I had some of them break and strip before

I have been using Napa hose or gates, does that hipa hose get hard as a rock ???
I’ve had terrible experience with Amazon and eBay hose 😢

@@freedommowers420 life gets that way man ...do what chu gotta do for home and family ....this silly stuff can wait !!!! be safe man!!
I was getting worried about you. Great video. I have had really good luck with HIPA carbs and kits.
Nice one, Alex! As presented I’d call that one at least $650. With a bagging system add another $150. How about you?
Nice job brother! Your donor poulan is something I’d use to repair. My donor engine is usually made from 3 blown engines. Engine sounds great!
I may end up repairing the Poulan. I have a hydro trans I would like to put in to replace the plastic CVT.
Henry , i was thinking the exact same thing! 😂

Sweet looking and sounding machine sir 👊

Hipa is good and so is 8ten parts also, we use both all the time 😊😊😊just because it’s oem don’t mean it’s good 😢😢😢
Awesome job!!
Love the video man, I just picked up 4 mowers this evening for 200!😳
My man has a customer waiting on this machine to be made... impressive.
It’s crazy!! I’ve had so many people asking for mowers I’m struggling to keep up.
Awesome work
How so 💀🤣
I also have people waiting on mowers I need to restore. It’s a great feeling! 🔧👍
Going to have to rewatch this because I got sidetracked 😮
Winner winner chicken dinner lol
Great video. Have you ever added an electric start to a Toro self propelled? Thanks
What is the part number for the hipa carburator you use
Nicely done sir. How much do those engines weigh if you don't mind me asking?
She lives... nice job on the machine and the video. is it ok if I email you with a question.. see you soon
Thank you Kelly. It was nice to see this one come back to life. I sent you an email back.
I need some advice please. My 21hp single cylinder Briggs Intek blew a hole in the side of the block. Where do you guys find the best cheap used engine at? Facebook and Craigslist have a surprisingly bad selection of engines to buy. Any tips?
I generally put a Walmart or TSC battery on them if it’s a fixer upper 😊
For sure. Yes this one is a TSC battery. They are right down the street from me.
interstate 10 more than an advance battery here ...LOL dad just got one for 55.00
I just found out TSC is woke so I’m going to interstate battery now and for feed other places
does all pto pulley have same 5/8 bolts
As far as the bigger engines go but push mowers are generally 9/16 size which is 3/8 fine treads
Glad you got another engine for the YT mower I just got The new mower deck installed on my craftsman ys mower that poulan mower with the plastic transmission will be a great mower for you to replace the transmission and another engine Alex
Heck yea. I know you keep good care of your equipment. I’m hoping I can revive the Poulan. I have a hydro transmission I would like to try and fit in.
@@freedommowers420 you got that right about the Care I give my mowers hopefully the hydro transmission will be a perfect fit for the poulan mower Alex

Remove plastic cover and clean engine, if clean replace coil
Hi
Thats not how you pronounce poulan 🤦♂️
