You may have missed the center connection. It is much harder. I used wood clamps to keep pressure at the two engagement points a hit downward with a block and rubber mallet. Worked great.
Great tip, partner! Thanks for sharing!
Many many thanks to you, sir father-in-law 16 did exactly the same thing last night
I could not believe when I saw this video wow thank you again

Awesome, partner! Glad it worked!
Nice video, but I believe the trim piece is supposed to fit underneath the rubber window gasket. I may be wrong, but my window gasket is raised along the entire edge as though this is the case. Also, your "star" tip tool is, specifically, a T20 Torx bit.
@@stanleyckowalski thanks partner! Torx was the word I was looking for, got it!
I am currently struggling to do this on a 2014 Dodge grand caravan. The "pegs" don't seem to go into the slots as easy as the video shows. Seems like it should be easy but for now the trim is back in my back seat waiting for my next try.
Howdy partner! You may want to try tapping the top down lightly with a rubber mallet once the clip is engaged, then the bottom screw should line up. Let us know if you have any more issues!

The trim on my 2014 Caravan is attached on the bottom after the top two prongs let go with no way to reattach them
Guess I have to order a new trim piece then ?
Would this work on a 2012 dodge cavalier
Not sure, partner. I would check ebay to see if they have any for that specific vehicle to be safe. Good luck!

Hi there - I can’t get the screw out because the piece you gripped with the needle nose pliers has broken off and is flush with the door. When I try to get the screw off it just spins and spins. What do you suggest? Thanks!
Howdy, partner! Can you try pulling the screw out a bit with pliers while simultaneously unscrewing (create pressure on plastic that is broken off)?
I had the same problem. I jammed a small flathead between the door and the edge of the screw and twisted on the other side until it gripped, and that got it out for me.
Take a small flat-head screwdriver and force it in the broken plastic piece. You'll be able to stabilize it enough to get the screw out of the other side.
