This is one of the best bands I discovered in 2022. I'm diving into the Melodic Metalcore, it's amazing. All That Remains rocks so much, along with other great bands.

All That Remains has their style that is unparalleled, as does As I Lay Dying, Killswitch Engage, August Burns Red, Haste the Day, and more I haven't had the chance to listen to. Can't not mention Insomnium tho (Above the Weeping World ftw).

This bands music got me off alcohol and ecstasy over ten years ago while i jogged up Lime Ridge from Concord to mount Diablo with my dog Hennessy at my side. The anger from all the pain people caused me, and i caused to others...used to get the best of me. I had an I pod nano with the best all that remains albums, and worship music, I ran and ran up that mountain named after the devil each day until i finally reached the summit. And overcame the devil's rage. It was Gods work in my life and him using this band to sharpen my character, and get me through some shit holes i dug myself into.
I cant thank Jesus enough for Phil and the whole band. It will forever be my all time favorite band of any genre.

I just wonder if their community has dropped off. I mean sure they had a song or two on the radio but how much of an audiences can you get from 1 radio song per CD? Taproot and Adema didnt do too great after a couple of years. Maybe they should have came back into metal with songs like relinquish, which was probably the only good song on the album, and still awesome.
Actually I suppose overcome was good and chiron. Though I favor less of chiron...probably because of how much they had lost when they came out with this album haha I probably would have liked it more on an older album

This goes to show you that they still got it. They are changing most of their ways for pretty damn good reasons. Their slower songs like Last Time/What If I Was Nothing and Hold on are for the radio. They have to get out there somehow. That's why Slipknot has changed as well. A lot of bands have to transition. Its called growing up. A lot of ignorant people. You wouldn't understand or make it.
It isn't even just that. We all have to come out with something to bring a diverse crowd to the shows.

I always return to this band, in particular this album, it is a standalone masterpiece of metal core for me.

OK to all those people that aren't musicians or friends or even family of musicians shut the hell up about their new shit. Try to pull out enough aggression to scream for years over the same shit. Every band that is heavy as fuck takes it down a notch or 20 lol. To get up there every night and perform is harder than most know. After years of making money and being able to buy whatever you want and no longer having money issues it also makes it hard to scream and pull that aggression back out. ATR is a great band and deserves to be recognized as just that.
