Lyrics:
Have not the strongest
And closest ties been bound so long
I've called upon them
They remind me where I'm from
With deep conviction
I am connected cross the miles
With out them nothing worth relying on
It's been so long since I could say
I've needed anything stronger
We can't give up if we have ties that bind us
If I rely and I know the strength
In those who taught me ofthe
Power in the ties that bind
When I turn inward
And look for strength within my self
And demonstrations of courage
Are the result
If inspiration is wholly shared
Then more is the gain
Then I will follow
The selfless actions displayed - เพลง
who is here in 2024 🔥
Song still rips 🦾
I'm here because of something really crazy I was digging in the yard with my 3-year-old son and I said I used to dig here when I was a little boy and he said me too a long time ago before you were here so I said wow and I always ask him about like past life weird questions to see what he would say and he said and I asked him actually what was your name back then and then I watched him start to dig deep in his mind and he started to say a couple little words trying to spit it out and he said chiron. Later that night I Googled that name and punched in his birthday with it too and come to find out chiron is an astrological marvel, and it's an asteroid that was in a special orbit the day he was born. And the day he was born was a rare wolf moon. 10/01/20.
Chiron was also the teacher of Achilles. I'm blown away so I go and do his birth charts and woah... it's insane what I seen.
THERE IS NO COINCIDENCES!!
Every year :)
🤘🏻
This is one of my favorite songs.
Listening to All That Remain' "Chiron" almost ten years later, proves to me that "Overcome" is one of the best metal albums ever recorded.
The fall of ideals was better
krass dickerdowner agree, this and two weeks were the only decent songs of that album
@@ovtpvt4648 bruh a song for the hopeless slaps tits
Nah, this is a great fuckin song is all
Overcome was good no lie but I gotta agree with top reply fall of ideals was fucking boss every song a banger
Oli Herbert thank you for bringing all these wonderful solos and riffs. May you Rest In Peace...
Fuck man I didn't know about this until just now. Feels like a freight train hitting my chest 😪
@@daylat8783 Very sad, his wife is to blame and i understand she is still under investigation.
Whoa what…how the fuck did I not hear a goddamn thing about this until now…
That guy's guitar playing was the whole reason I listened to this band. Breathtaking, the first time I listened to the overcome album. Thoughts of his death bring my mind to this passage in Scripture:
Ezekiel 33: 11
As surely as I live, says the Sovereign LORD, I take no pleasure in the death of wicked people. I only want them to turn from their wicked ways so they can live. Turn! Turn from your wickedness, O people of Israel! Why should you die?
Bro WHAT. I GREW up listening to these guys. Its what got me into guitar. 13 years still playing. RIP Oli 😔❤
I just love how their drummer holds his drumsticks like a jazz drummer, I think that shows some real depth
Indeed.
R.I.P Oli🖤🖤
One of the greatest solos I've ever heard.
12 years later... STILL listening to All That Remains, STILL love this song, and going to see them in concert AGAIN on Apr 29th in Wichita!!
When I need strength and motivation, this is my source of inspiration.
Still :D
My favorite Oli solo. RIP you legend.
I wouldn't be an engineer if it wasn't for Metal. This song has given me the energy late at night to do my homework. Metal is awesome and is my caffeine. I've been listening to this band since their second album. I remember seeing them for the first time with 5FDP for $5.
been playing this for nearly 15 years, does not get old.
This entire album got me through a dark period in my life. I listened to this everyday that I was in a halfway house where I was overcoming substance abuse. To this day, the nostalgia that I get from hearing this songs is unbelievable! A lot of my friends from the era have passed away, but I keep pushing forward! Thank you!
We are Made powerfull... Keep pushing.
WE ARE MADE POWERFUL @@helibo
i love how diverse this band is
really heavy one minute, and an acoustic ballad the next
RIP Oli Herbert a great guitarist from a great band, this is my favorite song and solo from him.
I’m so glad I bought Rock Band 14 years ago and was exposed to All that Remains and became obsessed w them as a 10 year old. Their songs STILL are just so fucking good, the drums, the amazing riffs of the guitar(rip oli) and of course Phil’s vocals, So so so underrated.
My deepest condolences to you and your family, as well as the ATR boys. Rest easy, Oli... thanks for being cool.
This was THE first song I ever heard from All That Remains.
Same🤘👏
R.I.P Oli. Thank you for making tremendous music.
I got to meet the lead guitarist Oli Herbert a week ago. He literally stood next to me for the majority of the Judas Priest show at Rock Fest in Cadott WI.
DId you met him? :( RIP Oli
I met him a few years ago, we had a few drinks at the bar and he took me back to the bus to meet Phil and everyone else. He was such a great guy.
Tommy you’re so fucking lucky.
Rip Ollie one of the best guitarists I've ever seen or heard x
All the members of this band are at the highest level of skill...
RIP Old Herbert!! Thanks for all!
Oli Herbert is such a talented guitarist, his knowledge in guitar playing is inparational, go ATR
I just realized I have listened to this band more than I had originally thought, still do and don't see myself ever stopping anytime soon.
Nothing is gonna change and I will still continue to rock out to them and it's now louder than I usually set the volume to just because it wouldn't be right any other way.
R.I.P. Oli Herbert
This is my girls and my song so much purity and passion this song gets you through the day feeling like you are 1 with the band 2019-2020 and eternity after all
OMG THE GUITAR IN THIS SONG I LOVE IT , GREAT SONG
R.i.p oli herbert, one of my inspiration, thank you for the sick riffs💐
This song is LEGENDARY! The guitar, drums, vocals, bass! Everything is perfect!
my gosh he have very strong voice
Any metal drummer that uses traditional grip has my respect! ;D
exactly, i hate that they didn't show any of him really. it's so impressive
One of the best drummers in the business to
No disrespect but what exactly is the difference between traditional and “normal”? I’m not a drummer myself so I don’t know but I’m curious
@@keegan959 A very valid question! A traditional grip (the "normal" grip being commonly called a "matched" grip) is when the drummer uses a different grip for each hand, the dominant stick being held straight forward away from your body and the other stick held at 90 degree angle from your body. It's not shown much in the video, but a few of the clips very briefly shows the drummer playing with this grip. A big difference between a matched grip where the drummer holds both sticks the same way and a traditional grip is how you leverage the muscles in your wrists, both grips having their pros and cons but either one being completely valid and useful. You don't see a lot of traditional grip in genres like metal, so it's always really cool when it does happen. My definitions are probably not 100% accurate, but I hope it gives you an idea!
Ohh thanks that makes a lot more sense than what I thought traditional grip was

i love Oli Herbert, he has such a cool scale and he uses some truly exotic scales, hes just one of the many reasons i like this band!
I forgot all about this song for quite some time. I regret forgetting about this song for quite some time.
as a black man (19 years old) people look at me weird when i listen to ATR and i look at them like...O_o this shit is poppin
This is why I hate many people. They should not care about what you like or do not like. What do you think of them now? I think they became worse but getting better with Victim Of The New Disease.
Same bruh its hilarious but I be blasting whatever the fuck I want
love you bro
This song RIPS
Best song from their best album. This is the album where they reached their peak.
I saw them live about 11 years ago amazing show
When I was a kid this was my favorite All That Remains song, because it had the sickest solo!
GET THAT MEGHAN TRAINOR AD OFF MY HEAVY METAL!!!!!
Thomas Mattiello HA
My point exactly
.,
The good thing about getting a pop ad right before you listen to a metal song is that you get to cleanse your soul afterwards.
😂 LMAOOOOOO
I dedicate this one to Oli. Rest In Power
My favorite song from All That Remains
One of the baddest songs ever made!
what a solo man!!
Shreyansh Bhargava You said it
he's dead now :(
His best imo. RIP
@@bou212 you shouldn't place a gender or other human qualities on music, you'll confuse the kids... lol.
Such a great song, Very Underrated.
It blows me away how easy they make playing the solos look.
RIP oli
Back before people left the brim of their hats straight. The good old days.
Most hats you see that are curved like Phil's here are actually made that way, and that hats that have flat bills, are also made that way. Granted, there are of course exceptions with both, but that doesn't change anything.
The curved hat brim became a trend early 2017 and people called them “dad hats” 💀
@@Reborn95 The "curved hat trend" has been around for probably 30 years at this point. It's not a trend, some people just think that straight brims look dumb.
I only rock mine flat because... glasses
I call it the douche bag brim but my fiance loves those hats 😣
BRING THIS SONG BACK INTO THE SETLIST
Oli is forever immortalized as a legend.
the double bass..... O.O its so epic!...
pooorra, que nostalgia..
Caralho, eu imaginei que fosse o único
R.I.P. Oli
You know your'e in a good band when Jesus comes down to play guitar for you.
RIP OLI!!!!!!! FOREVER GRATEFUL FOR THE MUSIC YOU BROUGHT INTO MY LIFE
ATR's best songs are "this calling", "two weeks", "chiron", and "six" in my opinion.
Yessir! Also Some of the people all of the time, and Hold on.
That bass drum is probably broken after every show.
this base drum is such a fucking earporn
#fuckhashtags I like the irony in your name
bass drum*
Gilbert McGillicutty You don't listen to a lot of non-radio metal, do you?
Springfield, Massachusetts...so proud right now!
the double bass is just out of this world
Phil labonte looks like a guy that has closet full of tapout shirts.
Lmao
I work at an MMA gym with a lot of guys like this. Phil looks like he'd fit in.
This is when affliction shirts were the hot shit
RIP Oli Herbert!!!
I am here bro in 2024 with the ties that bind us. I got good friends that are brothers because of the ties that bind us. Hell yeah bro.
My usual workout music ain't doing it for me right now so gotta go back to the classics!!
RIP oli, One of my biggest idols. I hope youre rocking the afterlife brother \m/
Pqp eu procurei anos por essa música e acabei de achar aaaaaaa fodaaaaaaaaaaaa demaais
RIP Oli Herbert. U bring back my childhood cool...
I love metal bands with a classical influence. This whole song shows their classical influences. In the guitar I mean. Especially in the solo.
RIP Oli
RIP OLI
Str8 Rippin trailer got me hooked on this song!
Damn ,I've missed this so much
Rest In Peace Oli Herbert :(
I remember seeing ATR during the overcome tour cycle. They were touring with Bullet for my Valentine at the time while they were promoting scream aim fire. Starland ballroom in NJ. Place went freaking nuts.
Double bass is freaking awesome
R.I.P Oli. Still rocking 2021!!!
ONE OF MY FAVORITE METAL BANDS EVER ! 🤘
r.i.p. Oli
RIP Oli Helbert
Ive never found a better example of perfect balance between clear and growled vocals than this song, and Phil specifically. ever.
This is definitely one of the best ATR songs! I'm so sad to learn that Oli has passed away. Rest in peace guitar wizard! My condolences to Oli's family and band members.. :(
i gotta see em live asap
+bret mcclure BAD ASS BAND LIVE MAN SAW THEM SEVERAL TIMES. IDK IF U INTO MOSH PITS BUT THEY HAVE SOME PRETTY DAMN EPIC ONES

HELL YEA
It's been so long since I can say I needed anything stronger
It's amazing what 12 years has shown. Still one of the best tracks to date. And the song that got me into metal
BEST FUCKING SOLO!! RIP OLI!
Such a shame they went as commercial as they did. Thought this and the air that i breathe were such badass songs
Learned a bunch of this on guitar today... got some pretty sweet melodies, and that damn acoustic interlude. Glorious.
It's hard to not be one of the best bands around when you have Jesus on lead guitar.
Rock band 2 all over again
STR8 RIPPIN 4 EVA BABEZ
I just love how the guitarist is blasting out an awesome solo and looks like he's wondering what to do later!
"Yeah I can do this in my sleep"
AWESOME SONG!
this song and six are what got me into this band. thank you guitar hero!
When are people gonna realize... it's METAL!! Nothing more, and sure as fuck... nothing less!
Steve Sullivan Metalcore*
Eli Steffler Gives me a boner-core!! Lol! Its so metal... I jizzed mercury!
+Steve Sullivan Every metal genre sounds differently, metalcore and deathcore are best and most talented ones.
*****
yeah, people hate them for having such a big talent.
*****
you are just not used to them, i like metalcore because of the lyrics, not because they are heavy. Metalcore has everything you need from a metal song, solo, breakdown, heavy and soft part and all that for 3 mins, this is amazing for me.
The song will always remind me of the Str8 Rippin Montage trailer!
Same haha
+Firesite Dude, throw the fuck back
I liked the band before the trailer came out. But when it did i was like hell yeah! R.I.P halo 3 :(
RIP Oli, you fantastic legend! I hope to see you in Heaven some day dude you're a massive inspiration. Much love.
I'm a black dude. I'm 23, and this band is cool. Saw them play live in concert a couple months back.
That scream at 1:47 sounds so funny. :)

My favorite metal guitarist.
Ive been looking for a band this good for years.
