People are so afraid of change they cant stand when a band evolves and puts something out that is different form their norm. get over it, this is music..
I think the problem here is that they put something out that's different than their norm but is pretty much the same as everything else that's being made today, so that's one less band for a lot of people to listen to because they don't have much of an identity anymore. I'm not saying all of there music is like that though as I don't listen to them.
FAMOUS You just made my point for me. Just cause what they did that got them noticed and liked including me, doesn't mean they cant try new stuff. This doesn't suck, you have shitty musical taste overall obviously. Lets all just hug.
Dedicated this to my wife during one of our hardest times, and we made it through 22+ years going stronger than ever. We been through addiction, homelessness, lost everything we loved and was imprisoned and came out on top and this song is at the base of it all. She thought I'd leave always and still I stayed and supported her in everything as she has me. Relationships last because you want them because u both can't see life without each other. And we made it through.
Good for you, dude! I've been married to my wonderful husband for 35 years! I'm here until the day that I die! I'm here with him because I want to be, just like you said!! Keep hanging tight to each other with love! Wishing you both the very best!!! ❤️🙏🙂
@@ApostolicavengerYou are too awesome and so very kind! I thank you for your kindness, it means much to me in a world that doesn't try to spread love. Oh my goodness - what a heartbreaking comment. You are such a sweet soul. I have lost a lot of cherished people (parents, brother, best friend), and yet I cannot even express how difficult it was to see my husband hooked up to life support. God bless you and keep you. My deepest condolences.
The fact that ATR has the range to do songs like this all the way to tunes like This Calling and Two Weeks are why theyre one of my all time favorite bands. Plus, this is a gorgeous power ballad, regardless of where you stand on the band or their catalog.
Anyone going through a heartbreak or anything that's tearing you apart. Don't worry. Take it day by day. Keep on moving. You got this! The world is your oyster, and you're the pearl.

Just so you guys know, THIS song convinced me to keep looking for a way to live instead of what I thought was my only choice when I found out about my cancer diagnosis. I might be nothing without my family, but what if I was gone what would they be then...not on my watch satan...that was August of 2020, and i'm still here in '22, close to two years later still kicking ass. Thanks ATR, you'll never know how grateful me and my whole family are for this song and what it did for us!!!
This song is one the most beautiful damn things I've ever heard in my entire life. This is art, beauty, love....this is a masterpiece. RIP Oli. A beautiful solo to remember you by in a beautiful song.
Just saw them for their 15 year anniversary tour in Orlando Florida. This song went SO hard. My husband & I had just celebrated our 15 year anniversary a few days before (been together since we were 12/13 . I just turned 29. He turns 30 in November. ) & it was absolutely amazing to experience this song live. One of "our" songs. It was so good & we were at the front. One for the books.
If no one listens to any other song by these guys.. Nothing Metal, Metalcore, Post-Hardcore, etc., even if you listen to Pop or some other genre, you need to hear this. This song epitomizes heartbreak, love, relationships, and just being who you are in general. Don't give up hope when it comes to love. Someday you'll find that special someone. Someday you'll be who you want to be, and you'll live the life you need to live. If you were nothing without one person, then you're definitely something with them, and it may take half a lifetime to find them, but when you do, you'll know what you've been hanging on for, and fighting for, and you need to remember that it will all be worth it in the end, because love conquers all.

Can't believe how nostalgic this song already is. I was driving to college over the sagamore bridge and all over the state reffing ice hockey. Times I'll never get back.
Fun Fact: This music video was filmed on my family's farm in Conway, Massachusetts. So much history and memories created there for generations of my family.
I love how they went from this to Everything Wrongs. This song makes you feeling like a time when everything feels right and that love warm feeling while Everything Wrongs feels dark, grey, bitter and it gives you the feeling “there’s no fixing this”.
I tear up every time I see this video. Death was handled so beautifully, first seeing the old man carry in his wife's groceries then walking out the back door as the wife looked longingly at him. Then, as she reminisces of him, she walks out the back door and joins him. The lights swirl about like she's ascending to heaven and she sees him and smiles knowing they're together again. It's just so beautiful.
I didn't really catch that until I read your comment, so thank you!! Usually focus on the audio but watched it again and payed attention. It hit a whole different way.
Never really watched the video closely, it's about a couple that met as children and dated as teens / 20's, and then at the end it appears she is on her own and he passed away. I've seen a few elderly couples die so close together of each other, as if they really are nothing without their other half. As sad as the widow or widower may be losing their significant other, I think having that kind of bond with someone all of those years would be worth it all
So much truth in this comment. My grandfather and grandmother both passed away last year, few months apart, and I do think that spending most of your life with someone will hurt a lot, and only a thing or two can compare to that pain. It was tough for me to lose them and I still can't completely get over it, but I can't even imagine how hard the last few months for my grandmother must've been. But, yes, maybe it'd be all worth it in the end... if I ever get to that age and stage of my life, maybe I will find out.

Oli Herbert gave me a second wind on my urge to play again.. Thank you for all the music you’ve played for us over the years a true legend, and a fantastic guitarist. Thank you Oli, they say the good die young ❤️🤘🏼
That's arguably my favourite ballad ever made by any band. I found this song because of my girlfriend and ever since I'm listening to it every single day at least once. This chorus is one of the most powerful moments ever! I hate the fact that so many people are against their softer stuff! Just listen to their old albums and stop hating on something just because it's not your typical metalcore album!
This was one of my favorite bands back in the day, and then I realized most of the music I liked at the time was Christian Rock. I'm an agnostic, so I got a gift kick out of it.
Some would say ATR has gone super mainstream now and sounds like any stock rock band. I say they've matured and sound as good as ever. There's more to music, more to metal, than being loud and hard all the time.
wildcardNP I partly agree but sadly it's obvious there at the mercy of there label, this really is a cookie cutter metal" ballad" song. You can play this note for note next to many songs to date and there near identical.Stone sour did this forever ago before it was churned into butter and regurgitated by countless other bands. But.. sometimes you have no choice but to comply with the producer and or label, they want a ballad you make one..a lot of bands have no choice but to do it, wether they wanted to or not. While others fight and risk there career to do what they want or just give in.
This song hit hard for me and my husband. He played the guitar and I sang. He died last year and it's still hard to listen to this song. I love you papi.
Man, that came unexpected... He was one of the guys who got me into playing guitar. This song was one of the ones which brought me through teenage-ish depression. He was one of the guys who I expected to still do this in thirty years. Rust In Peace Oli Herbert!
We come, to listen to the greatest music of our times. Whether years ago, or weeks ago, newly discovered... this music is timeless., Great song and video
I believe All That Remains made this song.....therefore everyones opinion doesn't really matter. Maybe this is something they've wanted to do for a long time or it was a personal experience that someone in the band wanted to share with everyone. Either you like it or not, doesn't mean there's anything wrong with the bands integrity
Rip to one of the most underrated metal guitarist, Oli. Your music lives on.
Amen to that man!
Thanks brother

Wishing he really felt he was nothing without me. He loves me like this, but knows he doesnt need me.
Jeyson Fernandez thank you!

Awesome tune! Awesome band! Seen them many times over the last 20 years. R.I.P. Oli

Oli Herbert gave me a second wind on my urge to play again.. Thank you for all the music you’ve played for us over the years a true legend, and a fantastic guitarist. Thank you Oli, they say the good die young ❤️🤘🏼

Oli dimbag and then his brother... God's got one heck of a band in heaven now
Oli had a trademark sound that cant be both mistaken nor forgotten. An IMMENSE talent lost. Rest easy.

16/9-2018 - I cried when I listen again...
Nothing without you...
That Jackson guitar is just as beautiful as this song.
Beautiful song! Very touching words and amazing music, love this band
Awww man..... That mellow guitar. Gives me goosebumps! \m/

Rest in peace, Dude!
I hope You are living eternally happy, Bud! 🤘🤘
This song takes me through a time when everything seems right ... Damn, so many good memories!!!
🙌🙌
Definitely better times !!!
Yes
Same!!
This was one of my favorite bands back in the day, and then I realized most of the music I liked at the time was Christian Rock. I'm an agnostic, so I got a gift kick out of it.
This is STILL my all time favorite hard rock song.
the chills man, the chills...
This song makes me cry on so many levels of emotions...
Loving all the guitars! Especially that solo, it’s like 80’s 90”s all over again! Great sounding band!
1:31 1:33 1:33
Rest in peace Oli thanks so much for my childhood you will be missed 🙏
Some would say ATR has gone super mainstream now and sounds like any stock rock band. I say they've matured and sound as good as ever. There's more to music, more to metal, than being loud and hard all the time.
the exact musical snob the op was refering to
Kenzie Williams Not necessarily a snob. Opinions are valid, after all this is an art form. Just my 2c vs his.
Amen

I partly agree but sadly it's obvious there at the mercy of there label, this really is a cookie cutter metal" ballad" song.

This song is hits on a very personal level. Definitely my life song
Same here buddy, if you're still feeling this way and are facing what I'm facing now stay strong.
2024 gang. This album didn’t get enough love - this song really holds a lot of memories for me.
I just can't get enough of this song it is totally awesome big time for real people
I am in love with this song! Phil's vocals just take me to another world in this beautiful song
Rest In Peace Oli. gonna miss you man. ❤️
This song hit hard for me and my husband. He played the guitar and I sang. He died last year and it's still hard to listen to this song. I love you papi.
Probably the heaviest song I played at my wedding. For my husband and I it's "our song" so I made it happen lol
Same! I insisted we play it at ours too.
He's lucky then
😎👍
I think I found the best song for my wedding in the future!! I’m 19 rn so hopefully I’ll get married to my other half!!
Beautiful song for a wedding
My grandmother passed away yesterday, shes the best grandmother ive ever met, now shes with my grandfather in heaven,i hope shes happy
RIP 🌠💔
She is now in a beautiful place being guarded by angels.
Man, that came unexpected...
He was one of the guys who got me into playing guitar. This song was one of the ones which brought me through teenage-ish depression. He was one of the guys who I expected to still do this in thirty years.
Rust In Peace Oli Herbert!
People listening to tis music...u have a good taste💯♥️
First time seeing a rock/metal drummer using traditional grip.
Hes a monster of a drummer too. Watch him in some of the live performances.
+EthT XD check Thomas Lang
I'm glad I'm not the only one who notice that.
+EthT XD Check Bruno Valverde of Angra,
+EthT watch Pearl Jam - alive from 91
This song hits me right in the feels
We come, to listen to the greatest music of our times. Whether years ago, or weeks ago, newly discovered... this music is timeless., Great song and video
👍🎸
Music Mystic here, here to say - someone needs this song
I think that's what kind of artist they should marketed. Not as superficial pop singers and fake bands rock like Imagine Dragon. We need more ROCK !!
I hope you get one billion likes on your comment
Jørgen Moisejeff Berg He's got 19 so far. Not looking too good lol
Jordan GOll Whatever the likes, I just want people to understand what I meant ..
I know what you meant. Just had to be a smart ass :P
Jordan GOll Haha,yeh ^^
This video brought tears to my eyes, i love this song so much and never saw the video.✖💜
At 3:10 when the guy fades away, I lose my shit. I can't believe this song is 10 years old. It's friggin TIMELESS.
I love the lyrics. I can relate to them. These guys are amazing musicians.
