I bought a SG551LB from Misha years ago, to this day it's one of my top 5 favorite firearms in my collection. Glad to see more coming in so more folks can enjoy them!

I feel like these will be the polytechs of the future in terms of collecting. However, the current price isn’t a direct comparison because polys were affordable at one point.
Before the import of Jdi models, prebans were going for 8k or more if memory serves me.😊

Great video, thank for the update. I’ve got a 550, the 551lb looks very tempting with the threaded barrel but a 553 would be make a great addition also. Any suggestions would be very appreciated and thanks for doing what ya do buddy!
The SG551SB from this batch have the 4 position gas valves. Really would have been nice to have the threaded barrels as well but they have the typical one piece barrel. I think it's well past time that the one piece barrel goes extinct. Can you explain what the benefits would be of having a one piece barrel in your next SG5XX video? Thanks Misha
Interestingly, every model variant in this batch came with the 4-way regulator this time. Not only the single-pc 551SB but also the single-pc 553LB too *shrug*.
Ran a 552-2 commando black bolt had that thing so hot from constant full auto fire you couldn’t hold the gun had to lock bolt open and swing it by the stock just to cool down. Thing never hiccuped once just eats brass
I like the rail with diopter sights. It gives you options.
Love your content, I am interested in 553 in 13.7 inch barrel, will the B&T nato A2 adapter work on the non removable flash hider on the LB? When will any be coming in. I really need to suppress

Exactly... Would be interested at $1,500 but for what they sell for it's a easy pass for me, simply overpriced.
The 551LB with a removable flash hider is exactly what I have been looking for so I can run it suppressed without that odd adapter. I don't even see it listed on JDI's website.
agreed, its one of the most practical versions out there, esp if someone can't or just doesn't want to mess with SBR'ing.
Misha has been shopping. No wonder I would only see them listed already sold out. lol Cool seeing them anyway. I didn't see the sb even listed. Totally missed seeing that. Saw the R listed sold out. The LB was one left and it sold by morning. Still some .300blk available. The PE90 is everything great but too long. 😞
Drum sights are the beez kneez. Right up there with A1 sights.

Where do you go to buy these. JDI aka Swiss Arms site doesn't show these unless all sold already...
Typically JDI announces a batch and opens up for pre-orders 3-6 months before shipments come in. Terms are usually 50 down to reserve & 50% due when ready to ship to your FFL.
Are those low import numbers just for your store, or is that the whole of U.S ??

You run your own FFL right? Do you have your own website or GB account where tou list these? Are you guys the importer of these ornare the limited numbers spread to a few inporters?
These are solely imported by JDI/Swiss Arms and very few come into the country every year.
How much and where are they sold?
How hard are they to sbr and attach a stock to turn it into a rifle?
I say about all i should say on that topic in this video.
It's very easy, requires minimal tools, and takes no more than 5 minutes if you know what you're doing.

Honestly, pretty much all I know is contained within my videos. Also, i know less about the 553R than I do the standard 5.56/5.6mm versions, sorry.

Ironically I was just lamenting to a friend the lack of these weapons in today's market and my continued question as to why they did not bloom in sales back in the day. I know they are unique and not "modern" in some ways (ex: handguard, limited pic rail), but they are amazing weapons. Wish I had the cash to buy one.
Another part is simply that SIG in Swiss-land makes them so so so slowly. This batch of roughly 100 firearms in total took half a year to get delivered.
Everything that they seen ppl want they banned lol everything ppl live now that's old is what they didn't care so much about back thenn

@misha5670 every sanctioned gun and or guns that do not import that we've missed out on since the early 80s just to name the ones that never made it in the first place.
I mean, between the new free-floating mlok-handguards with continuous pic-rail and various stock adapters, I don't really see what's not "modern" about them.
I wish the 553 SBs were coming with the three prong!

I feel you. I simply swapped the one on my personal one out.
Ran a quick twist measurement with a cleaning rod on the 551 SB I just received and the barrel messures out at a 1-7. I don't see a -1 or -2 anywhere. Are we sure these are -1's?

Sucks that Sig USA doesn’t import these, failed to obtain more mags before they stopped for whatever reason…
Why would you want SIG-Sauer Inc in NH to impor these? Dave at JDI/SAN Imports is doing a great job and bring out some interesting variants. Also, yes he does still import spare magazines + spare gun parts too.

I own a swiss 553 and think they're overpriced. End of the day they're not for everyone. Its like an exotic car. Peasants say they're too much but its nice to drive a car you dont see Peasants drive😂
@@levinlevinallday Welcome to European labor wages and also how US tarrifs raise prices even further. The US applies a 11% on imported handguns, and guess who ultimately gets to pay that bill? Yep, the end user as the cost is deferred to them.
