What a beautiful hotel. It is full of culture and originality. The food looks so delicious and healthy. I was so happy to see Yeng. She blossom like a beautiful flower. I remember when it was just the two of you embarking on your food journey.
So so much respect love to you I've never seen anyone who has presented and loved our country the way you did its such a pleasure to have you and slowly you will get to know the realy history of syria thay till this day not much people know and see the village's in other states ❤ mark your an amazing soul
That first dish at breakfast is called “Mahalabia”, it’s kind o like the Italian Panna Cota but stickier and less firm, has a distinct flavour of rose water. It’s actually a dessert but you can have it at any time of the day as a snack, like you would with ice cream. That yoghurt dish is “Labneh”, which is usually eaten with pita bread. Love your channel, big hug from Seville, Spain!
Absolutely adorable!!!!! Thank you Legend Mark ..good health and wellness.. in Syria we say sahtain w aafia❤😂good appetite my friend 🙏🙏🙏👍👍⚘⚘and welcome to Syria..
Excellent video , I visited Syria before the war and can vouch that the Syrians are friendly and welcoming people . I live in Cyprus and we have very similar foods here also . I would love to see mark do a food tour of Cyprus .
Wow!! What a spectacular oasis & well persevered plaza. The high archways opening into enchanting courtyards is a stunning collection of beauty. I appreciate the decorative details in the granite stone & woodworks throughout the hotel. I adore the vintage architecture intertwined with manicured floral, vegetation, & Victorian fountains. Thanks Mark for this exclusive well documented review of such splendid beauty. Lovely content. Looking forward to your next upload. Safe travels & blessings always till next time. Cheers. ☕🍽
Oh that's bring me a lot of nostalgies to my back home. I hope that you have introduced to the best flower that it only you can find it in damascus which is Jasmine flower. Thank you Mark for posting this video and for visiting our Syria
Another great hotel stay Mark. I especially love the part where you and Ying sat on the sofa during check-in drinking orange juice as it highlights what great chemistry and supportive nature you guys have. Superb duo!
Those water fountains act like a humidifier it’s awesome . No word of lie I used my humidifier through winter it kept heat in my home and I never had to turn the heat on 24 hrs a day it was on
I totally agree with you. I very much like the videos & the content of Mark Wiens, and he has brought me to TH-cam, for which I am very grateful for. But often, I find that his videos are much too long. I like details, but videos that last for 50 minutes or so on TH-cam are just too long in my opinion.
The place looks really amazing 😍 Thanks @Mark Abroad , this makes it so easy for us to enjoy the culture, food and see everything from the comfort of our homes. Like all other series...this one is turning out to be amazing as well ☺ #FoodAndFoodiesShallPrevail
What an absolutely gorgeous hotel! Thank you for sharing with us. As an American, I would be terrified to travel to Syria and some of the other places you have been because I have an American passport.
I have been to Syria only once for 4 days stay, when I was young 13 years of age. I did not appreciate Syria and did not like the food. Now that I am older and wiser, I'd love to visit Sooriya and eat their food. Janoobi
Damascus's vibrant history, where food serves as a delicious link to the past, enriching the traveler's experience with a sense of timeless beauty and cultural depth. Oh how i wish to visit one-day.
Syria has so much to offer as a historical/biblical tourist destination. The hospitality industry employs a lot of people and the people in this series want people from around the world to come visit! Everyone is welcome. Mark has done a great service doing this series.
Would love to visit Syria again (visited years ago as part of University Arabic language course) . Unfortunately we'll probably be investigated if we just visited for a holiday as we're Muslim.
To the person who commented with sad/surprised emojis and statement regarding “I can’t breathe isn’t a joke.” Etc. I don’t think, in this case, it was in reference to any terrible and outrages behavior. Trying to keep this a respectful comment not belittling any social or business interactions. I know that when it is used in certain situations then yes It definitely isn’t a joke and may we all remember why. But, in his defense and the person who actually made the comment, (I believe on his main channel) MW and friend had been eating quite ate a lot of food. Plus, I don’t believe that MW would have laughed if it was regards to any devastating behavior. He meets a lot of different people and lifestyles. He is always very respectful. Think about how that phrase is used a lot while Exercising, illness, eating, weather (it’s so humid outside, I can’t….), crowds, etc.
Beautiful kingdom syria and cultures I don’t know if you guys r heard of Douglas Murray MP written books on Muslims cultures. Thank you mark again for showing us Muslim food cultures. In Middle East specifically it’s certainly different to Far East.
it's a dream for me to visit Syria what a beautiful place, rich culture nice people and of course tasty food. with Love from Algeria.

Gives new meaning to Paul on the road to Damascus. I'm sure that wasn't around in his time. Beautiful. And the breakfast looked fit for a King.
