I have been in the hobby for 12 years. During this journey, the Black Bay Monochrome is definitely my favorite watch. As if Tudor had thought it for me! For those who always find everything too big, this watch is 40.5mm in diameter, 49mm lug to lug and most importantly, 12mm thick without the domed crystal which does not affect comfort in any way. Much more pleasant to wear than the old BB41. Curiously, my Seiko 143 which has approximately the same dimensions, has a top heavy effect and is less comfortable.
What I don't like about tudor is the case. It is flat, polished. While the seiko is brushed, with many different surfaces, flat, curved etc.. Way more appealing for me.
@@malzahar33 Absolutely ! I got 3 MM300s. Nicest case I've seen. But God the watch is top heavy ! A love-hate story. And Seiko bracelets are crappy.

@@malzahar33 I will always love the Seiko divers. They are unique. I'm wearing my 143 today. Other than the crappy clasp, I love it.
@maitrehg buy a seiko lx snr (its an mm300 Modernized by legendary designer Ken Okuyama who designed the Enzo ferrari), it's an mm300 with a Spring Drive, and it's actually specifically designed with a low center of gravity!
I just picked up the Rolex submariner Starbucks and wanted to picked a no date submariner and now I just pick up the Tudor. I’m a Tudor fanboy. I have the Pelagos blue date, BB41, BBgmt opaline dial and Pro.
This new Tudor is a fantastic watch! I have the burgundy dial version and I love it! Really great proportions and the 5 link bracelet is just awesome! Tudor is really killing it!
The burgundy has some great personality this monochrome has to exist to make the brand lots of money however it’s the most sterile soulless sports watch I’ve ever seen

They're all briliant watches. I think if you don't already have the Seiko's you reviewed in your collection, then I would just go straight to the Tudor BB 41 - incredible Swiss Meta certified watch for the money. If you already have several similar spec watches, then yes, I would question if you need the Tudor.
Great review of some very nice watches. I have GS, and SLA Seikos. No Tudor, or Rolex. The Marine Master is the one I would buy. But I have a similar sla055 on a vintage style bor bracelet. Stunning watch. Why would I want a Tudor? Think there are other brands that have move of a vintage look I am drawn to.

I still prefer the SPB051 / 053 series of the 62Mas. The case is more elegant, has more curves and chamfers, and larger.
No wrist shot of the Tudor? The dial and bezel of the new Marinemaster is more interesting and eye catching than the Tudor, to me at least.
I would prefer the Marine master for its dimensions and case design and finishing.
Tudor for movement, bracelet, bezel action et crown action.

In favor of the Tudor it is Metas, Swiss, and from the house of Rolex. These things matter to many.

I love SD. I love visiting multiple times a year. Great weather year round, amazing food, and plenty of things to do.

I think all of you comments about this being a mid level watch and an entry way to higher levels is absolute nonsense. As a person that has had several highly expensive watches this is just as good as them. I’ve had the submariner the speedmaster, Seamaster 300m, black bay and several others. You don’t know what you’re talking about. Then you go to comparing it a Seiko 😂 you don’t know what you’re talking about. Stop making watch videos and find something else to do.
Oh wow, several? No way, clearly, you're the expert here and my experience with thousands of watches is trumped. You should really start a channel and share all of that knowledge that must be bursting from the seams, good luck with that!

For me,
The Certina DS Powermatic 80 Diver,with a Ceramic Bezel,300m WR,and a great ratchet clasp is far superior to both the Seiko and Tudor for just £650 and more accurate !!!
