One of the best videos! Watch this and WWC video and they were both great! Brian you have improved tremendously! To bad World wide Cyclery couldn’t hook you up with some gloves:)
Totally related to: 12:17 "Jesus! [DROP] Hahahahaha!" If I had a dollar for every "prayer-uttered-before-challenging-feature-followed-by-gut-laughter" moment, I'd be rich! Great ride, Brian!
I love the pure honesty of these videos. Incredible insider content, many steps above the everyday rider for sure, but it’s always honest and pure. If you fall we see it. If you struggle uphill, we see that too. But we also get to ride along for the killer sections where it all comes together. Love the approachability of this channel and how it inspires me to ride and makes it ok to not be perfect. Because who is? I wanna go ride right now!
Andy Ginther thanks for the kind words! And you are right that climb is absolutely brutal! Let us know if you ever want to come by and go for a ride on the same Trail. It's in our backyard.
Ridden alot in the San Diego area, I feel your pain with that sunshine. I live up in the PNW though so we get rain but pretty much the best dirt around, great videos and cool bikes.
Hey thanks! I am a total bike nerd so I love my bike top notch at all times :) if you're interested, we put together a blog post and video on that bike - www.worldwidecyclery.com/blogs/worldwide-cyclery-blog/employee-rides-jeffs-alloy-transition-smuggler-sbg
The Smuggler can handle a ton! But that trail would have been more fun on a Sentinel for sure. There is an insane amount of potential in a Sentinel. You will love that bike!
john Cast haha you are totally right! We have always been very frugal with how we spend money in our business so that we can aim to put it back into the right places like offering lower prices and better customer support than our competitors :)
Thanks! Check out the bike porn we made of that bike when it was built - www.worldwidecyclery.com/blogs/worldwide-cyclery-blog/employee-rides-jeffs-alloy-transition-smuggler-sbg
Hey thanks! Check out the video and blog we did right when we built it up - www.worldwidecyclery.com/blogs/worldwide-cyclery-blog/employee-rides-jeffs-alloy-transition-smuggler-sbg
Brian, need to do some off season strength training. Squats, leg curls and extensions. Does wonders for climbing endurance. Need to get the slow twitch muscles working harder.
I understand what you are saying. But, some training with weights would help a bit. When I was much younger living in New England I used the winters to cross train. Lifting light weights and doing 20 to 30 reps helped to build my muscle mass and helped quite a bit when it came to climbing those NE hills.
Hey thanks ;) I don't know why the other guys didn't follow me off that sucker! It is quite a lot sketchier in real life compared to how it looks on video.
Hey thanks! We put together a blog and video all about it if you're interested - www.worldwidecyclery.com/blogs/worldwide-cyclery-blog/employee-rides-jeffs-alloy-transition-smuggler-sbg
You guys are beasts climbing Dead Cow like that. When I rode it over Thanksgiving we went up the back way (Double Tree to Palo Comado). Dead Cow is also a fun descent, then you can take Suicide Crossover to pick up right at about the 10min mark on this video.
Man, I need to get out Georgia and head west!! Brian I assume you love the 29er wheel, especially with technical climbing...I found it amazing with the slacker head tube angles and longer travel. Great video!!
Just rode this today first time. Love it as well. Between Santa Barbara Cold Springs, Tunnel, Arroro Burro Backside, Romero, Tequipas, Trespass, and Thousand oaks gnar is so much fun!
Cool to see a bit inside Worldwide Cyclery. I’ve had a very positive customer experience with them when I was able to return something well past the return date. Good people, know their business. It’s funny, I often picture companies like them as being so much larger than they are. Oh and nice riding. That climb up was legit and the down was punishing.
Great video! Very happy to hear this biz story. Before I became an airline pilot I was in biz....Toys R Us in Germany and Cracker Barrel here in the states..... Biz 101, give employees a great work environment, they will give great service....clients return! Repeat biz is how you build a business! Well done by him!
Drops and jumps galore! Heck of a revisit, almost scary fast. You may not have got any air time this time, Brian my boy, but it was still awesome :D Between you and Alex, I think a Rediscovery '19 trip is in order. You two have improved so much, it would be the cat's ass if y'all could bomb down some of the Redemption '17 trails.
Great ride! That trail!! Holy shit it looks fun! Man you gotta keep an extra pair of gloves in the bottom of you bag, just in case! Kinda like the high school wallet condom, lol. Just in case! Great video!
Grate Video buddy so happy your friend went out and Got his bike dirty OCD my friend is the same I pull on him when i go his house Move stuff around lol Grate track that Brian hard work on the first section buddy ;0) will have check em out the Worldwide Cyclery
So cool to see how much better you got from the last time you rode Suicide. I still haven't hit that trail yet, it's on the list hope to head up after summer when it cools down. Btw I am a little butt hurt that you didn't hit me up to tell me you were heading down to SoCal. Lol
BKXC I only get to ride once a week so most likely I wouldn't be able to ride but at least next time youre in the area stop by my restaurant and get some grub.
It's crazy how much better Brian rode that trail compared to last time! And hey, this trail is in our backyard and we'd be happy to ride it with you anytime! Just shoot us an email and we'll go shred :)
This being my local trail people don't realize that CLIMB up Dead Cow to get Suicide is as challenging , steep and technical as the descent. Your tech climbing is on point and so is that cardio. DHF front, Forekaster rear???

Wow, that's such a good question! I think there are a few features on South Mountain that were much harder, while this was a gasser all the way down. Much more steep and fast.
Last time you posted here, I said the trail looked like rutted garbage. Either it's better maintained, you had better light, or you have a better camera. Maybe all three, but I see the appeal now. Still looks gnarly as hell, but I get it.
BKXC Maybe I'm getting used to the gopro effect, but it looked pretty eff'n gnarly. Those climbs looked like hell. I'm seriously impressed with what you are able to pedal up.
Video turned out awesome! That was tons of fun, stoked to get some good riding in while you were here :)
It was a magical ride!!
Worldwide Cyclery also like to say your videos are on point with the right amount of info and chill. Keep it up.
WC has been helping me out a lot with my new bike build. Helps that they ride the same local trails and I ride.
One of the best videos! Watch this and WWC video and they were both great! Brian you have improved tremendously!
To bad World wide Cyclery couldn’t hook you up with some gloves:)
Worldwide Cyclery Hope Your Trail Vid next, has good quality sound like this...
Brian you've elevated your riding to the next level. I can't be the only one thats noticing!
Feeling so good out there!!
BKXC, yeah you would have never hit those drops before but now you pinned them! Keep it up👍
Completely agree! It's totally different riding bike with Brian now. Especially compared to even a year ago. Huge progress.
Nope, I agree. Brian doesn't give himself enough credit, he's a solid rider!
For sure! I’ve seen his riding improve so much !! Shredding!
Totally related to: 12:17 "Jesus! [DROP] Hahahahaha!" If I had a dollar for every "prayer-uttered-before-challenging-feature-followed-by-gut-laughter" moment, I'd be rich! Great ride, Brian!
Hahaha big time!
That's what it's all about, Brian! High stoke levels, gnarly descents, and fun with friends. Keep up the great work!
Thanks Renzo! Too much fun
Probably my favorite vid from bkxc. That climb wore me out just watching.
Haha that climb is brutal! Especially on a HOT day. But the downhill is totally worth it.
Love hearing that dude!!
I was getting exhausted just watching that first technical climb - looked relentless.
It was quite tough!
Thanks Fred. Honesty and transparency are what built my channel and it's what makes this thing work.
Good to hear a lil backstory on Jeff and WWC. I dig his vids and guys have been very helpful with products on website. Brutal looking climb!
Andy Ginther thanks for the kind words! And you are right that climb is absolutely brutal! Let us know if you ever want to come by and go for a ride on the same Trail. It's in our backyard.
I love telling the story!
Yooo, good job hitting that drop Brian! That trail looks tons of fun!
Thanks dude, it was a biggun!
I rock the shortie socks everyday :) Rockin the Rocks your favorite kind of trail ! Nice job .
Haha short socks for the win!
You know it!!
Love that you showcase your climbing talent too! WWC has been a good internet bike shop for me as well. Keep em coming.
I love those dodgy climbs! Glad to hear you dig the WWC guys
Hey thanks!
Just got my Charger 2 Damper from Worldwide Cycerly!! Love those guys!! Great service every time!!
Awesome! And thanks! We love you too!
NICE!
Awesome riding! Fun to hear about WC as well. Keep it up man you’re ripping.
Thanks Byrne!!
Ridden alot in the San Diego area, I feel your pain with that sunshine. I live up in the PNW though so we get rain but pretty much the best dirt around, great videos and cool bikes.
Always a balancing act, if you get the rain you get the best dirt!
Wicked ride Brian, I agree with the guys...you were ripping it up. Great job!!
It's crazy how much faster Brian rode this time compared to the last time we took him down this trail!
Hell yes!!
Love the way Jeff maintains his bikes! It’s similar to how the Supercross bikes are maintained by the factory mechanics! Ride on!
Hey thanks! I am a total bike nerd so I love my bike top notch at all times :) if you're interested, we put together a blog post and video on that bike - www.worldwidecyclery.com/blogs/worldwide-cyclery-blog/employee-rides-jeffs-alloy-transition-smuggler-sbg
Yep, he cares!

Haha, it was a doozy!
Wicked video Brian🤘 your videos never get old my dude
Thanks Kyle, love hearing that!
Looks like that Smuggler held its own ground. Just purchased the Transition Sentinel and I feel like I have barely unlocked its potential.
The Smuggler can handle a ton! But that trail would have been more fun on a Sentinel for sure. There is an insane amount of potential in a Sentinel. You will love that bike!
Awesome!!
The shop is just sheet rock and bikes. No nonsense.
john Cast haha you are totally right! We have always been very frugal with how we spend money in our business so that we can aim to put it back into the right places like offering lower prices and better customer support than our competitors :)
HAha yes!!
Dude, I just need to head out there and ride that with you. So good dude!

No such thing as off season!
I understand what you are saying. But, some training with weights would help a bit. When I was much younger living in New England I used the winters to cross train. Great one! Didn´t know about WC till I saw this video. Thx for featuring other great channels and companies. Saludos from Mexico!
It's a pretty cool company!
That jump at 11:05 super smooth!
Hey thanks ;) I don't know why the other guys didn't follow me off that sucker! It is quite a lot sketchier in real life compared to how it looks on video.
HAha always more sketchy in real life
That looked fun thanks for the video
Thanks for watching!
Damn Brian! Hucking the bike like a boss now!
Feeling it!!
That transition is so sick!
Hell yes!
Hey thanks! We put together a blog and video all about it if you're interested - www.worldwidecyclery.com/blogs/worldwide-cyclery-blog/employee-rides-jeffs-alloy-transition-smuggler-sbg

Yeah Dead Cow is a HELL of a climb. Especially on an 88 degree day haha.
They didn't tell me there's another way up!! Hahaha, I like this climb though
I love your videos man! I think the one in Scotland is my favorite so far but I gotta go watch them all so keep it up!
Thanks Charlie!
WOW! that drop at 10:16 , Pucker!
Full on!!
Great video. I shop from WorldWide Cyclery a lot. They are great!
Hey thanks Jason! You're the man!
Hell yes
So they couldn't hook you up with a pair of gloves LOL. Great video man
Haha we totally could have! But he didn't realize he forgot them until we were at the trail head.
They offered!!
Man, I need to get out Georgia and head west!! Brian I assume you love the 29er wheel, especially with technical climbing...I found it amazing with the slacker head tube angles and longer travel. Great video!!
Loving the 29er!!
looks awesome!

It’s funny, I often picture companies like them as being so much larger than they are. Oh and nice riding. That climb up was legit and the down was punishing.
Nice, I love hearing that about a company that I believe in!
Climbing Dead Cow. That's nuts.
Haha you are right!
Is there some other way up?
Yes but a bit longer and mostly fire road. From the backside to China Flat and then up singletrack from China Flat to top of Dead Cow/Suicide.
I always get to it from China Flat.
That was killer! I've ridden that trail and it is insane. The camera does those rock gardens no justice.
Haha, it is so damn silly!
Always great videos awesome 👏👍😊
Thanks!!
Love all the Worldwide Cyclery guys!
Hey thanks! We love you too ;)
NicE!
You are looking way more confident on the descents, good to see the progression! That climb though...
Yeah man, feeling so confident!
I know you just bought a chesty, but check out the new version GoPro just released! Nice improvement!!
Oh wow, interesting!
dude you're killing it!
Thanks man, felt so good!!
Love your videos big fan bkxc
Thanks!
Yeah man, you didn’t get dropped! I’d be sketching doing that descent with sweaty hands, no gloves- zoiks! Nice job Brian
Haha, I was feeling it!
Sick ! WWC stocks gloves lol......☺ I'm about to stop wearing short sock my darn self. Cool even for four years ago.
That was some really awesome riding Brian great job
Good job out there BKXC I hope one day I can get as good as you and sometime we could go out
It's always possible!
Love it!
Thanks dude!
Drops and jumps galore! Heck of a revisit, almost scary fast. You may not have got any air time this time, Brian my boy, but it was still awesome :D
Between you and Alex, I think a Rediscovery '19 trip is in order. You two have improved so much, it would be the cat's ass if y'all could bomb down some of the Redemption '17 trails.
Dude, I love that name "Rediscovery 19"!!!
You can see how much your riding has improved since your first video at suicide trail
Most definitely!
He's way faster now!
Great ride! That trail!! Holy shit it looks fun! Man you gotta keep an extra pair of gloves in the bottom of you bag, just in case! Kinda like the high school wallet condom, lol. Just in case! Great video!
Hahahahaha yep
Cool video 👍
Nice trail

Hello Brian, Trail suicide Very Crazy Mam, fantastic show BKXC thanks for video 🇧🇷😎
Thanks Rodrigo!
Grate Video buddy so happy your friend went out and Got his bike dirty OCD my friend is the same I pull on him when i go his house Move stuff around lol Grate track that Brian hard work on the first section buddy ;0) will have check em out the Worldwide Cyclery
Thanks Taffy! It was a joy out there
Haha OCD yes! But I still get that bike dirty often... Just clean it a lot after.
Ah ha!!, so I wasn't hallucinating when I saw this video last week??!! Assume accidental posting.
Sir, your tech skills moving on up!!
Haha yep, had to delete it!
Did you do any other rides while you were down here?
Yup! Stay tuned
So cool to see how much better you got from the last time you rode Suicide. I still haven't hit that trail yet, it's on the list hope to head up after summer when it cools down. Btw I am a little butt hurt that you didn't hit me up to tell me you were heading down to SoCal. Lol
Hahaha, always hurtin' someone's butt!
Worldwide Cyclery ok sweet I appreciate it, I will definitely do that, hopefully when the weather cools down we can hit it
Awesome riding!
Thanks!!
This being my local trail people don't realize that CLIMB up Dead Cow to get Suicide is as challenging , steep and technical as the descent. Your tech climbing is on point and so is that cardio. DHF front, Forekaster rear???
That Dead Cow climb is super hard!
What tires you guys running around here now? I have DHF (3C) front (Bought from you guys in the shop.) and Forekaster rear. Thanks!
So damn tough, but so damn cool! I am running Magic Mary (super gravity, addix soft) and Minion DHRII
Todd JG you've got a great tire setup! Cannot go wrong with a Minion Dhf or a DHR II in the front. Forecaster and Aggressor are great for the rear. Wtb is also making some killer tires these days. Try out the Vigilante!
Dropping the wisdom at 7:35, so true.
Really cuts to the heart of it!
Billy Goat mode
Haha yes
I just bought a pair of rock shocks forks from there!
Hey thanks James! You're the man!
Nice!
Funny, I JUST got parts in the mail from WWC today. Great business!
Hey thanks Johnny!
Haha nice
You guys know everything so....what full suspension bike should I get under 2K...Thanks!
Nigel Naughton our suggestion would be to not buy a full suspension bike under 2K. Full suspension bikes are expensive and challenging to manufacture and therefore any of them that have a retail price under $2,000 are simply going to be very low quality. If your price point is under 2K our best suggestion would be to get a great hardtail that has nice parts as you'll have much more fun on a $2,000 hardtail that is quality and has good components compared to a very low quality full suspension bike at that same price point. When your price point is $2,000 or under the best thing to do is stick with Trek, Specialized or Giant. Those big box brands have the most value when you are in that price range. Hope that helps :)
Worldwide Cyclery thanks so much for the great advice. Maybe I'll up my budget up or go the hardtail route.
Nigel Naughton no problem! Good luck. Most importantly is just get a bike and get out there and have fun :)
dude i love world wide cyclery love them
Nice! Did you part with your 4.5?
I never thought I'd get a chance to "like" a video twice, but I did! lol Its kind of funny, change the lighting and the trail looks way different than it did a year ago!
Haha! Thanks man
I remember that fence...
Haha
Off to sub to Worldwide Cyclery now!
They're worth watching!
Hey thanks! We're doing our best to put out some cool and useful videos.
All that gear they've got and they couldn't spare some gloves?! Great video Brian... keep 'em coming. You looked like you handled it well!
Haha, they offered!!
Brian,
How would you compare that suicide trail to national at South Mountain or Geronimo at South Mountain are you thinking it’s the same skill set ??or which one has more gnar???
Wow, that's such a good question! I think there are a few features on South Mountain that were much harder, while this was a gasser all the way down. Much more steep and fast.
BKXC National waterfall is as intimidating as hell!!!
Freedom and happiness thank you
Hell yes
Jeff is like a friggin Kangaroo man ! GREAT VID
Haha yep!
I think my new nickname is Kangaroo Man. Thanks for that ;)
' Skippy ' the Bush Kangaroo. lol You guy's too young to remember him I bet.
167K right on dude! Looks like your surely finding your way.
Thakns so much!!
I love the bkxc logo on your bike.
Thanks man!
Last time you posted here, I said the trail looked like rutted garbage. Either it's better maintained, you had better light, or you have a better camera. Maybe all three, but I see the appeal now. Still looks gnarly as hell, but I get it.
The camera never does any of it justice!
BKXC Maybe I'm getting used to the gopro effect, but it looked pretty eff'n gnarly. Those climbs looked like hell. I'm seriously impressed with what you are able to pedal up.
I actually appreciate seeing you guys walk the bikes and take a rest - It's part of the package, right!?
Andy and Logan Mullaly... related to YT Mob pro downhill racer Neko Mullaly??
Yeah Logan is Neko's little brother. Logan is also the manager of the Worldwide Cyclery East Coast location :) he's the man!
Yep yep! I kinda made it sound like "Andy Mullaly" but it's Andy Anderson from the shop
Hey Brian, do you record in 1080 or 4K?
4k Link in the description!
Is this a re-upload? Could've sworn Ive watched this before. Hmmmn. Nevertheless. Always a good watch.
