Man, you should be paid by the English, Welsh and Scottish Tourist boards! Can't think of a better advert for mountain biking in the UK than these videos.
I'm english and always envied all the american channels on youtube and all the stuff they have. Now I'm beginning to look a little more wide eye'd at my own country!
"Gotta pee, can't find a tree, caught a rock with my knee, Guy's faster than me.......All perfectly valid exclamations!!!! That is some crazy riding over there!
Spectacular brother. That was some serious chunk! You navigated that stuff pretty darn well to keep the rubber down the whole way! UK series has been awesome.
Wow, did Tony meet Brian or something? Wondering where the link was? I have been following both of them. Tony the retired Postman takes some great pics.
Awesome. Missed you by a day, did Helvellyn day after you.. I went around opposite to you, went down sticks pass ( the trail you smartly avoided on the way up) Howling gale when I was up there as well, literally took the bike from under you in some places. Great video again, thanks for sharing.
Dude I love that still after all this time riding and following you on this channel forever that you still pick some of the worst lines. I love the vids even the ones that brought me in as a pre10k sub! Keep it up Brian maybe one of these days I'll catch you out in Simi Valley and show you some of the other trails to ride :)
More bad lines and good times brother🤣 15:35 (i didnt watch the whole vid and of course you said it...so funny...i had to edit). Thanks to Guy for kicking your ass. Great work as usual. Amazing vista/views. 🤘
I've never waited so eagerly for a video to pop up on You Tube than your UK series. Seriously great work and by far the best content to date. Truly fantastic!
Glad you were able to do this in such amazing weather. Stunning views. Great you saw the best of the UK. Done Helvellyn three times and only once in reasonable weather. One time it was hailing and blowing a gale and I came back looking like I’d got chicken pox!!
That looked absolutely brutal, one of those trails you have no idea why you enjoy as a mtber. Total hand killer. Great riding, it was noticeable how you were getting more comfortable as the trail went on.
Just started watching your channel- it’s great! I’ve done a lot of hiking from Glenridding, but I’ve got to visit again now that I’ve bought a new bike after a 10 year gap. Once I’ve had a fair bit of practice that is! I recently watched your vid of the place in the Czech Republic too- that place looks amazing! Somewhere else I’ve got to revisit! I’m not having a moan- don’t get me wrong. Thanks for the inspiration. It’s good to see places through a different lens. Happy travels!
BKXC what’s up, I’ve been out on the trails all week after work, making the most of this beautiful UK weather we’re having. You so lucked out on your visit here. Yet another place I did a charity walk at ( The Beautiful and stunning, Lake District) been waiting to watch this video all day and now after a day of work and a awesome evening ride, I’m hitting play. Perfect end to my day. Thanks BKXC🕺🏽👊
taius20 ive wanted to ride some lakes/natural stuff for a while but was always a bit worried about getting lost 🤣 found an app and some gpx routes so i shall be doing some stuff like this v soon :D cant wait
Paul O'Brien go tubeless. Get a super gravity or dh rear tyre. Get tubeless repair snots and sidewall repair pads. Carry a split link and any tools you might need. Theres some cracking routes, have a look at some of my lakes vids if you like. I even do this descent! Birkside on the other side is mental! I love the place been loads. Addicted as soon as i went.
I feel ya on the hands wrecked. I did 7 DH runs at keystone the other day, and my hands were definitely hurting, almost like rigor mortis haha. Love the vids buddy! Enjoy the rest of your trip!
Superb Brian ! another great video which shows how gnarly this trail is. The guy I did it with took us the reverse way round .... we think by mistake as it was 7.5 hours of hikey bikey and 1.2 hr descent ! "brutal" We shall miss you reviews of rides in the UK they are all superb
I was one of those who suggested Lakes, and I'm not going to watch this until I get a chance to do it justice on a TV. Will have to get over there myself, there's a few on the list.
I'm Glad you made it to the Lake District, such a great place to ride. Hopefully you managed to make it to a few of the pubs in the area before leaving.
Glad that you enjoyed your time here in the UK. I've done the Dollywagon Pike descent a few times & those water bars don't get any easier! Kudos to you, & I'm enjoying your channel (new subscriber) keep up the great work!
“No place to hide to take a wizz out here” haha. Welcome to the Lake District. Although there is no one about its more about making sure the wind doesn’t blow the pee back on u
I've heard these kinds of trails described as "extended rock gardens" but I guess I never really appreciated that until I saw this vid haha Awesome content!
Good job problem solving, in a beautiful location. And I love stone walls, and stone buildings. Especially when they are hundreds of years old. Don’t know why I find them so compelling.
