I don't think it was made up by Hitler. It was made up by the weapon designer beacuse big H was big on smgs and didn't want rifles. So they called it a storm rifle or whatever. Great video though

No it didn't have that name until Hitler decided to twist the truth in order to take credit for it. It was actually called an MP44 a machine pistol because Hitler didn't want any intermediate cartridge select fire rifles. He wanted more submachine guns. When he found out they had been sneaking these under his nose for about a year and a half to two years he took credit for it and it was renamed the StG 44. Politicians take credit for things that they had nothing to do with all of the time I mean didn't Al Gore invent the internet?
