Looking to get one of these for my 2004 WRX Wagon build, but considering buying this one and a module to convert all of the steering wheel controls as I like the newer steering wheels better.
I have one from Dyna performance similar install but when I finish connecting I get a sputtering noise from horn and the horn still works when I push it, any recommendations?
@@jdmuscleusa hi, I tapped mine into the red wire as told but when my auto lights turn off during the day, the wheel also turns off... Is that how it works? I would like it to turn on during the day without having to manually turn on and off the lights every time...
I have a question, I install one in my Subaru STI 2018 but the steering wheel does not mark the directional when I turn to any side that I want. And I have seen that in other cars if they do, perhaps in the Subaru does not it?
Hey man, I dont know if you remember but... to what cable did you tap the power? I tried it in my 2019 STI and when I turn off the lights, the led smart wheels turns off too because that wire I tapped into seems to be the power cable for the lights in the controllers. Confused on what cable I should go for.
great vid. quick question, when reinstalling the steering wheel, how much pressure do you put to ensure it sits on the column the way it is supposed to? Should it be as deep so the column and steering wheel splines are flush or there will be some depth left and after the install, I will still see the steering wheel splines that sit above the column?
@@jdmuscleusa is it the same wire ? because i tried installing it and the wire you guys show in the video does not receive any voltage so the wheel dosnt turn on
@@thesupercrazyman234 im having the same issue. im gonna need to rewire my car and use one wire to the cruise control. i have an 02 bugeye. its not easy as they say. im be still waiting on my led cover cuz the one i got had some scratches on it. so far i havent had a good experience knowing i spent over $1200 for this steering wheel. ill figure it out this weekend . been busy.

I'd check with them as they might have a different unit - most likely you will want to find a different cable for 12 V ACC
Are you guys planning on making one for the 08-14 STI?
this is definitely a kek we make for all years and models. Send us an email to get yours customized at sales@jdmuscleusa.com
@@jdmuscleusa I see you have a core exchange, so does it use the stock wheel? I'm asking because I want a D shaped wheel but stock is oval.
@@Madvillian Everything can be reshaped
Can you get this steering wheel with the same carbon too and bottom
yes! Check out our website
Where are you drawing power from? Fuse box? Or do I tap into the volume buttons red wire? Kinda stumped on the install
Ranger TS it's tapped to the red wire. Which is connected to the light switch as well so you can actually turn the led screen off.

Ours doesn't come with the function you mentioned. It could be a different LED module you saw in other videos.

Thank you and good question. It should sit flush looking from the top. Give it a little wiggle should help pushing it in.
Wouldn’t the battery die by directly tapping it into the red wire of the steering wheel?
It won't. Power is down when you shut off your vehicle.
The link doesnt show the led wheel
