- Welcome to my #LEGO #Review of set number 76271, #Batman The Animated Series Gotham City. What on the surface might seem like just a nice display piece, is in reality a true love letter to Batman the Animated Series for it's many references and easter eggs. It's absolutely PACKED with detail making this one of the most complex reviews I've ever made. I've had loads of fun putting it together and researching everything inside and out, and I'm beyond stoked to show you the final result. In today's review we're figuring out if this set is for you, and if it's really worth the hefty price of $300. This is Gotham City!

-Every building, even if unnamed, is directly referenced from an episode. The only exception is the building shown at @13:36 which is a combination of the top of one and middle of another, both because that’s all that is visible of each.

Small question: Why are all the characters in gray and not in colour?
@@blobfischli Great question. Short answer is that DC and I liked this direction best amongst the options available to us. The longer answer involves story telling, aesthetic preferences, production limitations, and my own determination to include a ton of characters.
Very early on, one of the ideas was to have trophy figures instead of graphics, same as Hogwarts Castle, but it would have meant rescoping and probably delaying the project.
I know these videos don't get as many views as the main ones, but I am here for all of them. I've never seen an episode of the Batman animated series before, but your production quality and this amazingly intricate Lego set held my attention for a whole 30 minutes. Keep up the amazing work.

That's honestly one of the most beaufitul lego sets I've seen for a long time. Most of the sets I see from lego nowadays are smaller sets at Kmart, such as the new space line, but good to see that they are still making beautiful sets. Awesome video as well 🔥

I think the Joker head on the amusement park is from The Mask of the Phantasm. Due to the fact the movie was a direct tie in to the series and so culturally impactful I'm not surprised it was included. GREAT WORK THOUGH.
