You are a fabulous instructor. The best instructor I have ever seen/heard. I very much enjoyed watching this. It kept my interest through the whole video.
You are the best teacher to simply explain the simple instructions to everyone on how to do a basic uniform hair cut. Thank you so…very much. I love this cut on the mannequins. Great job. Thank you so..UCHealth for your video.
I wish I had this video during school, the practical back in 2020 would have been so much less stressful! But I am glad to have found it now as I start my first job in a salon!
thank you SO much for this!! I am in cosmetology school and I struggle the most out of the entire class with haircutting, especially this one which sucks because it's the state board cut. I appreciate the way you teach and how you said "The hair lives here". I will definitely say that in my head from now on if I accidentally over direct lol. I will be revisiting this video a lot before my state board exam. ❤
Thank you for taking the time to educate us on how to care for our hair. This is quality education and is definitely helping many of us who can not afford to go to a professional on a regular basis.
i just want to say, thank you for posting this. i took my final state board exam today (5/29) and i truly know your video helped me. so for that, thank you.
You are an amazing teacher! Helps so much as you repeat the instructions over and over because that is how people learn. I am trying to learn to cut my own hair and so thankful to have found you!
I don’t cut hair myself but I love watching your videos. I could watch them all day but will settle for Sundays. I do appreciate all of the work you put into these, so detailed but also easy to understand. Anyone would be lucky to have you teach them. ❤🇨🇦
I have no intention of cutting anyone's hair ever ..... but at least I now know if my stylist is doing it right or not. 🤣🤣🤣 You're the best teacher Brittnee. Wishing you lots of success.
I’ve spent the last hour watching her videos on the basics with no intention of doing anyone’s hair except maybe my own. She’s just such a good teacher!
Одно из самых лучших объяснений которые я встречала😊 Благодарю вас❤ Вы очень талантливый преподаватель. Всё просто, доступно и понятно. Такое редко встретишь.❤
Heyyy. I'm a Patricia! I just got my hair cut this past weekend after nearly four years and not happy with it. I gotta got back this weekend for them to tweek it. Came across this tonite. This is exactly what I was looking for. Never knew how to explain what I wanted. It has a name! Thank you so much for this video.
I earned my cosmetology certification and LA license in 1979. I kept it 40 years only stopped renewing when a shoulder injury prevented me from coloring my hair, etc. I love watching your videos.
You could’ve renewed and still used your discounts to wholesale to others from the warehouses and still been making money without servicing others. Or u could’ve been an instructor.
It was weird to keep hearing Patricia in my headphones in the beginning since that's my name lol. I'm not in cosmotology school but I have learned so much from this series about haircutting!
Thank you for this! I feel like this is a haircut my grandma would ask for, and I’m pretty confident with this tutorial I could deliver. Thank you so much for all you do!!
You are a fantastic teacher! I love the way you stay consistent in your language and repeating it throughout the cut, basically cementing the knowledge. Well done. If only I could find a stylist who could do this staple layering cut. What's happened to the training these days?🤷♀️ I just wish you'd have shown the cut when dried and styled too.
you are a godsend 💕💕💕💕 in my state this isn’t what we do for state boards but i keep failing the rubric for this cut 😭 i’m probably gonna have to repeat sculpture and i’m so upset
U are FREAKING AMAZING AT TEACHING 👏 I just found u today and I'm in love u explain everything in ways very easy to understand thanks for videos I'm hooked ❤️
omg! this is lots and lots of work. thank you for guiding us in this cut. you are a fabuluous teacher! i am learning so much from you! for example "where the hair lives" is such an important concept. and i tried what you said just before to make sure i cut a straight line. bec i am practicing on a mannequin and i thought about what you said. im wondering if you can help me out with a problem i have. i have a client that has a cowlick in the front that interferes with a straight line i need to divide the head before cutting. you know what i mean/ the first dividing line starting from the forehead. so by the front hair line she has 2 cowlicks and her natural hairline is more to the side of it. where do i go along to cut? should i use the natural hair line? but then when she styles it and wants to make her part the hair isnt even!! and is left with wrong cut. what should i do?
This was such a great video! I did this on my 85 yr old mom and it turned out so cute Could you please do a stylish men’s cut so I can cut my husband’s too?
Getting ready to take my state board and honestly I wasn't understanding how to do a haircut, I am glad I found this video it is really helpful, going to practice on my manikin so I can ace it the day of. Thank you. Ill come back to let you know how it went😊
Can I do a 90 degree to connect the ends with a top layer in a botched haircut? The distance between the layer to the ends is 5” and it looks awful cause is like 2 layers only.
Idk what state you’re in but in TN, it doesn’t have to be done perfectly, it just has to be done safely. :) show them you can do a safe, sanitary hack job and they’ll tell you “congratulations” as they hand you your pass paper. lol (I know from experience because I was nervous and gave my poor mannequin the WORST cut you’ve ever seen. 😂)
I’ve no idea why I’m watching this, I’m never gonna cut hair lol. It was very informative though. So in case I need to cut someone’s hair in an emergency, I now have a vague idea of how to do it. Thanks!
Please show a comparison of the styles created by different cutting techniques. Why would one choose a 90 over a 180 degree cut? Can you do these on long hair and which is better for thin fine hair?
I am messaging you to ask if you will do a video on how to formulate a color. I understand you need to know natural color, existing color, and then target color. Now what.
I've noticed that most 90degree layered haircuts i've seen on youtube start from the bottom upwards. Why would you do it this way, because your wouldn't know at what length the to top layer would be ?so confused. They way you do it, just makes sense

You know, people just don’t realize how much work achieving a cosmetology diploma is! Not everyone can do it! ❤
💯
So true, I am struggling hard in school right now :p
So much studying and bookwork
It’s not a diploma.. it’s a license lol but so truee 😊
So true!!! Very hard work! 😓
You are a fabulous instructor. The best instructor I have ever seen/heard. I very much enjoyed watching this. It kept my interest through the whole video.
I’m about to ball in happy tears you don’t know how bad I needed this, I appreciate you… ❤️

Very thorough, you’re a good teacher, thank you💜
You are the best instructor ever! I can tell you want your students to learn and feel confident.
Effortlessly, natural talent.
Nice out for the slime surfers. Nice out for the skunk pussies. Nice out for the lymph leeches and jism monkeys and the eyeball suckers
Thanks for explaining what a 90° cut is. I finally have some clarity.

I will never ever cut my hair or anyone else's but I am mesmerized. So much work but handling those shears and comb like a brain surgeon.
I love your teaching style. I appreciate how thoroughly you explain the details and repeat often areas that need to be addressed. 😊😊
I learned that cut from the academy but always confused with angles i appreciate the way you explained everything in an easy way. Thank you 😇
I like her language , how she puts things and "cleans" it up for the ppl to understand. Articulation ?

Another great video and I have to say, if that is your natural color at the roots, it is beautiful!
We have to part into 4 quads , pull out a 1 inch halo create a diamond shape at the top and cut a guide. Tmmn cut a guide in the front and back
Always enjoy watching and learning from you! You’re an amazing educator 🥰❤️

I love you! U are my favorite teacher! Thank you! ❤❤❤
I was hoping to see what this would look like styled. I may ask for the 'state board cut' next hair appt. :)
Please also guide how to blow dry in these kind of hair cuts
Brittney, what size scissors do you cut hair with. The black pair. I need new scissors.
Could u do a 45 degree layered haircut tutorial?
great teaching skills girl
Another fantastic video 🙂
It’s so much easier this way than creating the perimeter around the hairline. I’m struggling sooo much with this haircut (the whole class is)
Thank you so much may god bless you 🥺
If they already have bangs, would you leave them out if the rest the hair is a little bit longer
Can I do a 90 degree to connect the ends with a top layer in a botched haircut? The distance between the layer to the ends is 5” and it looks awful cause is like 2 layers only.
I’m in cosmetology and have state boards practicals soon…doing this in under 30 minutes seems impossible 😭
Love your hair 😊,
I ask for this and get everything but what I asked for. Is it becoming a lost art now?
Thank you!
Thank you so much. I’m hoping my sons will let me cut their hair because I have no idea what they have going on on or in their teenage heads. 😂
Nice teaching from India

Great teacher.
what states are you licensed in?
Thank you 😊
Do you have to buy a mannequin head every time? or can we just change out the wig?
Thank you
I always reference Pinhead from Hellraiser when teaching this haircut😂
Why?? Lol😊
O! Or is that a bunny?! Lol! U're as bad as me with the zoo! 👏
Thnx for making this video. It's very helpful. I'm in beauty school at empire, and let me tell u! The teaching damn confusing..
See ya next week.
This applies to long hair also right?
Can you cut my hair exactly like that. Can I come to the salon you own.
Hay,it's a great mullet though 😊😂😂
You make it simple but I know I could never do it! 😂
Please show a comparison of the styles created by different cutting techniques. Why would one choose a 90 over a 180 degree cut? Can you do these on long hair and which is better for thin fine hair?
Blow dry it so we can see how it looks styled

In Texas, you have to only use scissors for layers and then doing a light face frame with the razor
❤
