    In this video I seal up an insulate a now disused fireplace and use my best rookie plastering skills to finish off the job!

    Great job! I dont know if maybe you should have a small trickle vent through the new plasterboard in to the room so that the air can flow? You can get tiny circular ones...

      Thanks, I pondered on that before I began the job and I decided that was perhaps the guidance for having a chimney capped off a room vent would provide some essential ventilation to prevent damp building up in the chimney and no need in this case as there is good ventilation via the existing gas flu outlet.

    I recently bought a house and it had the same back boiler with fireplace. The engineer removed the gas fire and now it’s massive gate for spider and little creature to crawl into my house 😢 when I knock on the top of the wall, it sounds like it made of a plaster board. Do you think I can remove this without involving the construction engineer or council?
