For anyone having issue of water not rendering its because this tutorial didn't fully explain how to turn water on for the latest LTS (22.3.22f1) You need to add a volume to a scene add override for water rendering, enable project settings-hdrp-quality-water, then to graphics-hdrp global settings make sure the volume you added the override to is the one selected, and lastly, the part this video left out, you need to scroll down to camera-rendering and enable water there this is also located in project settings-graphics-hdrp global settings. Then you can add the water to the scene and it should work. But the water samples from the project manager aren't available for the latest LTS, how come?

Can anyone tell me what the new settings are in Unity 6? The only way I get similar setting option is with CPU Sim, but the original option selected is GPU readback.

Hello dear Unity users I am dealing with an issue for way too long now and you are litteraly my last hope I'm working on a VR Flying suit (Iron man like) Simulator and use a Water Surface. i need to know when player (or any object) is under the surface of the water, considering wave deformation. I have not been able to find any function that allow me to sample height from specific position or acces shader deformation values in any way not even through mesh vertices, nothing Please does anybody have any idea that even AI can't think of ? I can just see the influx of overpriced Pirates of the Caribbean knock off games. Or those terrible survival games. Although this is incredible, I just hope Unity keeps going in this direction

Im using kws water and i have crest both look way better and there scripting api's are way better in my opinion so stick to crest for now
