Absolutely right. We're currently occupying what? 10-12% of the continents at best... 70% of earth is water, we're barely touching any of those habitats, the planet if we had 100% clean energy production at this point of our technological history, could probably support easily a trillion or more human people. I agree. The war of the worlds part two picking up where the original story left off with mankind recovering and reverse engineering EVERYTHING the Martians had left, improving on their design as well did so, which explains the explosion of technology since then. This could include the later 1947 Roswell New Mexico (supposed) crash of an alien spacecraft with the event and capture of the aliens being explained as a followup probe mission by the Martians to find out what happened to their original invasion force. Until finally, it's revealed that saying it was the Martians was another human coverup, the 1960's landing on the moon and all spaceflight since was actually prep for better defence and then war as the aliens are revealed to be from a system light years away and Humanity finally takes the fight back to the aliens on their own territory. Never piss off humans! They never give up, never yield, and never stop.
so they can put all those policies in place to fight global warming and cultural exchanges but nothing to put colonies on the moon or mars? just build a massive space station in orbit around earth? seriously? those would be the first two major projects i would have thought us humans would put forward.
Decently made short story, feels a bit inspired by the Star Trek stories about the UFP creation. Well developped it could be interesting to see just how dumb those aliens are tho... By converting that "Free and Clean" energy into space habitats, like Niven rings or O'neal cylinder or something like a Matryoshka-layered planetary sphere, multiple shell-world on top of each other, etc.. We could preserve and save every species on the planet with each their own biomes! Just in our orbit alone we could fit more people than you would care to count in a census. A billion daily followers on YT would be casual and barely interesting to the algorithm if there was something around 5 trillions of US. Now imagine if we stripped mined every single other rocks and planet in this system to convert into fast moving space-arcologies or generational ships. SOL system alone could support heptillions of people, provided we can reproduce that fast before the sun becomes unusable... We'll possibly be able to basically use it as a giant magnet or thruster to move the entire solar system by then probably, by changing it into some form of stellar engine We could turn the whole system into a Matryoshka Brain to live in nested virtual worlds using fractions of the remaining power... Countless people. We're already fairly close to a Kardashev 1 civilizations, if we can all start getting along easier by diplomacy instead of warfare, we could become type 2 quite fast I reckon. Let's not destroy ourselves too early please!

Not really. It would not be a problem to provide food, education and healthcare for any human, it is only a matter of distribution. And the population growth will soon stop.. "Peak Human", the point where the height of global population is reached, is predicted to be in the secon half of this century. After that, the global population will fall continuosly, like it is already the case in the western countries.

Why don't the aliens have similar numbers.
Because humans mate for fun ! lol
Because (as stated in the video) high population densities were avoided in the galaxy population due to inherent problems arising from overpopulation.
I hope my friend, you soon find out.

Amazing how Mankind is replaced by the incorrect use of humanity. Why is that?
It has not been used incorrectly. Under the definition of humanity: The totality of human beings : the human race : humankind.
humankind or humanity is such a mouthful to say, easier to just say mankind.
"resilience and adaptability" is a phrase i hear too much with your stories take it out of your prompt for AI
Maybe it will be less obvious that way
