I deleted Bumble right before this. My final date was an okay guy, but I did ask him to please not drag me out of my car for a kiss when we left. He acted shocked that guys do that to me and promised not to. Cut to an hour later when he puts a hand on my car door and tries yanking me out by the wrist to kiss me, saying, "I know you said not to, but I couldn't help myself".
I learned this the hard way... If you complain how bad people treated you, they will treat you badly. If your narrative is that people treat you well, but you broke up due to xyz, they treat you better 🤷. World just works that way

I left all dating apps when I finally accepted that quality men didn’t need them. Quality men with friends and hobbies are in high demand - they literally don’t need an app to meet anyone. The guys who don’t work on themselves and struggle to get women only use apps. Which makes them likely to consume red pill content - they don’t have enough in person interactions with women to counter the talking points. So yeah, it’s a good chance most of the men on the apps are not only single, desperate and depressed, they’re likely married. Or if not, rampant misogynists. Men in person aren’t that great either. So really, not dating at all seems to be the move. But again, acceptance comes in phases. Once I accept that there’s not an abundance of men I’m interested in AND compatible with, the better my life will be. Better to keep focusing on hobbies

I have so many horrible stories but the one that makes me laugh is the guy's profile said he was 32, when we met he looked 50! I "went to the bathroom" and asked our server to make sure to ID us when we ordered drinks and tell me his age. She did and this fool was 45 🙄
I just felt like the men on there were bottom of the barrel, scavenger types. Some were predatory, some thirsty, some lonely, and depressed. No one was happy in their life, and they all just seemed to want a woman to fulfill a role that they carved out. A lot of non commital types. Types that love to use you or dump their misogyny on you. Types that need a therapist or a nurse with a purse. I also used the sites because I felt I needed to find somebody in order to be happy. After every failed encounter, I just felt worse and worse about myself. I also don't like this idea of having to audition over and over again each time someone new showed interest. There's something really dark and unnatural about those sites that I can't quite put my finger on.

After a while, I felt like I had to jump through hoops or present as perfect whilst on the apps just to get a response, then, when I did make a match, they usually had something sexual to say or related to my weight or ask me if I can cook for them--it wasn't about getting to know one another, it became a series of questions related to what I could do for them. One man with whom I interacted on a dating site asked what I was looking for, and I replied a chivalrous man who would court me, treat me well, and if the dating phase went well enough, we might ultimately enter into a monogamous a long-term relationship. The guy replied back that he didn't "believe in that," (chivalry and courting, I guess) and stopped engaging with me. Others have said my standards were too high or that I was too fat to deserve a partner who would treat me well. It was awful.
All of this 💯 The audition part…I remember one time doing the coffee/tea meet up and during it I said I was nervous, he looked mildly amused and said oh really? I said yes I’m more on the shy introverted side so this felt risky and plus I had liked him thus far so was hoping it was a connection. He didn’t say much, other than he wasn’t nervous at all and he had had a lot of these meetups and was comfortable. At the end of it he wanted a hug before I left and said ohhh I knew you were very huggable when I did hug him goodbye. I left having some things to think over and first was he wasn’t nervous because he thought of himself as the prize. He had no concern what I thought of him. I’m like is this just a numbers game for him? Was not what his profile put out there. Then also wanting a hug after no effort. Mad that I gave him that but at the time I hadn’t fully processed that this guy wasn’t what I thought he was. I did not see him again.

1) A lot of the men on the dating apps are married. 2) The most attractive men on the apps get snatched up quickly ,but the dating apps don't get rid of their pic so you are talking to a ghost account. 3) The dating apps hire actors/ models to talk to women so that they have hope. 4) When you get fed up and leave the dating apps....they STILL use your picks & profile to trick men into thinking that plenty of women are on their app. 5) Sometimes the accounting department force bill you and lie and say that you selected auto pay when you didn't...and you have to fight to get your money back.

I left because men don't care about what is in your profile. They just carr about what you look like or only care that you have the appropriate body parts. Your inbox gets bombarded so it's the time and labor of weeding out the chaff. It is the danger involved in meeting these strangers. If i meet a guy who goes to the same community event as i do every week, we will have common associations who may hold him accountable for his treatment of me. How he treats me could impact his relationships and financial security. Some guy from the internet could treat me any kind of way and his circle will not even know. And as many have said, a lot of these men that present as decent are married.

I met this guy on POF 🚩 First date & second date went good. Our third date this man (army vet)proceeds to tell me in the army they gave him a different type of shot ( you get some vaccines at basic training). He tells me the shot he was given makes him hear voices that tell him to do things but he ignores them. Btw, I am an army vet(unbeknownst to him)…so hogwash. I explained to him once I’m home that I cannot continue to see him. To my dismay this man had followed me home and found where I lived. Set my car on fire in the middle of the night. Not me, but a former friend never experienced more dating drama than when she got on the apps. Not only would she discover most of the men she talked to were married later on, but also the ones in careers which marked them as safer options in her eyes - jobs that involved a high amount of empathy and emotional intelligence like social workers, school counsellors etc - were actually the nastiest, most dangerous pieces of work out of the bunch. Now that I think about it......I recently rang a helpline where you can talk about things that are bothering you. The guy I spoke to was very understanding in some ways and I got validation about my feelings re: a potential familial situation. However, I told him that I was autistic and found socialising tiring and draining. He kept trying to get me to socialise and said that I must've been more sociable in the past. Well I WAS, but that was a long time ago and in retrospect I gave more than I ever received. He said that he was sure that there are plenty of people who would appreciate my company. I said: "Yes there are, but will I appreciate THEIRS?" So even though this is a non dating situation, here's a man who still wants me to be the emotional labourer against my own best interests.

OMG. That last story was horrific!! I'm glad the OP was able to escape that monster! I got off dating apps for the same reasons others listed: Men approaching me on a purely sexual nature, not making an effort, running into married men, the ones who I liked and swiped right on did not reciprocate, etc. It was definitely mentally draining and depressing. I haven't been on a date since 2019, and even when I was on the apps, I never was able to get past the first few conversations to make a date. I'm single, childfree, and been celibate for 4 years, and will be single for the foreseeable future.

Got off of dating apps because almost 100% of the guys were NPCs (just.... nobodies. dead inside. Totally flat) Men already tend towards this. But on dating apps it's almost solely those men. None of the exceptions. I was always VERY picky about actual dates so I didn't have horror stories. Just soooooo bored!
Apps give people access to people they would never normally cross paths with. My ex lives not far but I'd never seen him before nor since. We live completely different lives and run in different circles. Now that it's over, I'm glad about this for sure. Crossing new paths is a good thing, when done organically. I stopped using bumble prior to their fumble and only used the friend portion because the men wanted me to chase them. I can't. My mind literally won't let me. They were extremely low effort or just didn't respond. I was disgusted when they actually did respond. I had a few non offensive conversations with men who can only be described as NPCs. Too many married men on dating apps. I unknowingly started talking to a "nice guy." We were texting back and forth for a while. Next thing I know, his wife and 2 adult daughters are blowing my phone up, sending me death threats and accusing me of attempting to stealing money from him. They went full psycho on me. I had to get my phone number changed to get peace. All because a married man lying and being where he shouldn't have been in the first place.
I left the apps early March. There is ZERO substance on there. The men are either in poly relationships, have kids, married, are felons, are stalkers, or just went smex. They dnt even try on their profiles to show who they truly are and make genuine connections. When I first relocated, I saw that Bumble had irl events so I went to some and the same people were there from different age ranges. Most of the time people were there with friends and not looking for relationships I also did speed dating and matchmaker events. None of them ended in officially connecting with someone and ultimately I'm not mad about that. I'm heavy on shifting my focus on myself now that I've settled for the time being. As a neurodivergent WOC, relationships and friendships are one of my challenges and I tend to focus on quality over quantity right now. Also I am choosing to make my life fulfilling for myself. Moving away was one of the best decisions I made for myself. Thanks for sharing content ❤

I remember going to a matchmaker. They checked my credit score, did a background check, drug tested, and asked numerous questions, including the list of my assets, etc. They set me up with a multimillionaire oral surgeon. I wasn't into the guy, but it was a thorough agency and would probably have led to a relationship if I hadn't met my fiancé organically. One thing she said was women without kids were requested the most by men clients and she had very few, so if you don't have kids, matchmakers will set you up with their top clients.

You are correct about a lot of men requesting women without children but I don't want women with children to feel discouraged, matchmakers will still take them on. Last time I used an app was three years ago. The last guy I matched with had tortured his autistic stepson and done time. I have an ASD child. Lucky I use to do a background check before pursuing anything. That was it for me, scared the crap out of me for life.

He acted shocked that guys do that to me and promised not to. I left all dating apps when I finally accepted that quality men didn’t need them. Quality men with friends and hobbies are in high demand - they literally don’t need an app to meet anyone. The guys who don’t work on themselves and struggle to get women only use apps. Which makes them likely to consume red pill content - they don’t have enough in person interactions with women to counter the talking points. So yeah, it’s a good chance most of the men on the apps are not only single, desperate and depressed, they’re likely married. Or if not, rampant misogynists.

Types that need a therapist or a nurse with a purse. I also used the sites because I felt I needed to find somebody in order to be happy. After every failed encounter, I just felt worse and worse about myself. I also don't like this idea of having to audition over and over again each time someone new showed interest. There's something really dark and unnatural about those sites that I can't quite put my finger on.
They are trying to commodify dating and attraction, which requires all 5 - 7+ senses not just sight.

After a while, I felt like I had to jump through hoops or present as perfect whilst on the apps just to get a response, then, when I did make a match, they usually had something sexual to say or related to my weight or ask me if I can cook for them--it wasn't about getting to know one another, it became a series of questions related to what I could do for them. One man with whom I interacted on a dating site asked what I was looking for, and I replied a chivalrous man who would court me, treat me well, and if the dating phase went well enough, we might ultimately enter into a monogamous a long-term relationship. The guy replied back that he didn't "believe in that," (chivalry and courting, I guess) and stopped engaging with me. Others have said my standards were too high or that I was too fat to deserve a partner who would treat me well. It was awful.

I’m like is this just a numbers game for him? Was not what his profile put out there. Then also wanting a hug after no effort. Mad that I gave him that but at the time I hadn’t fully processed that this guy wasn’t what I thought he was. I did not see him again.

i got date raped on one of those apps in my early 20s it's not for women to find love it's for women to find owners to keep them in check. If every woman canceled the app the married men wouldn't have any options left to cheat with if it was mostly gay men or plus size women it might make them think twice about knocking people up.
I left because men don't care about what is in your profile. They just carr about what you look like or only care that you have the appropriate body parts. Your inbox gets bombarded so it's the time and labor of weeding out the chaff. It is the danger involved in meeting these strangers. If i meet a guy who goes to the same community event as i do every week, we will have common associations who may hold him accountable for his treatment of me. How he treats me could impact his relationships and financial security. Some guy from the internet could treat me any kind of way and his circle will not even know. And as many have said, a lot of these men that present as decent are married.

Our third date this man (army vet)proceeds to tell me in the army they gave him a different type of shot ( you get some vaccines at basic training). I explained to him once I’m home that I cannot continue to see him. To my dismay this man had followed me home and found where I lived. Set my car on fire in the middle of the night. Not me, but a former friend never experienced more dating drama than when she got on the apps. Not only would she discover most of the men she talked to were married later on, but also the ones in careers which marked them as safer options in her eyes - jobs that involved a high amount of empathy and emotional intelligence like social workers, school counsellors etc - were actually the nastiest, most dangerous pieces of work out of the bunch. I got off dating apps for the same reasons others listed: Men approaching me on a purely sexual nature, not making an effort, running into married men, the ones who I liked and swiped right on did not reciprocate, etc. It was definitely mentally draining and depressing. I haven't been on a date since 2019, and even when I was on the apps, I never was able to get past the first few conversations to make a date. Too many married men on dating apps. I unknowingly started talking to a "nice guy." We were texting back and forth for a while. Next thing I know, his wife and 2 adult daughters are blowing my phone up, sending me death threats and accusing me of attempting to stealing money from him. They went full psycho on me. I had to get my phone number changed to get peace. All because a married man lying and being where he shouldn't have been in the first place.
I left the apps early March. There is ZERO substance on there. The men are either in poly relationships, have kids, married, are felons, are stalkers, or just went smex. They dnt even try on their profiles to show who they truly are and make genuine connections. I went on a date with a guy who was a great txter but come face to face he spent the whole date bashing women! I couldn’t even get a word in. I blocked him soon after. Also as someone in the video said, a LOT were out of my league. I’m a nurse, have my own house etc and a lot of the guys would start acting funny when they found that out. One pretended to be unphased by it, told me all these plans he had for him self in the upcoming year, and how he just knew I was gonna be his. Only to call me a week in and say he actually has nothing to offer me and has no business dating once he found out a ballpark figure of what I make 💀 which isn’t even that much! ( 90k but I just told him more than 80). It just became exhausting. Now I’m just doing me. Hopefully I can meet someone in person.

When I first relocated, I saw that Bumble had irl events so I went to some and the same people were there from different age ranges. Most of the time people were there with friends and not looking for relationships I also did speed dating and matchmaker events. None of them ended in officially connecting with someone and ultimately I'm not mad about that. I'm heavy on shifting my focus on myself now that I've settled for the time being. As a neurodivergent WOC, relationships and friendships are one of my challenges and I tend to focus on quality over quantity right now. Also I am choosing to make my life fulfilling for myself. Moving away was one of the best decisions I made for myself. Thanks for sharing content ❤

They checked my credit score, did a background check, drug tested, and asked numerous questions, including the list of my assets, etc. They set me up with a multimillionaire oral surgeon. I wasn't into the guy, but it was a thorough agency and would probably have led to a relationship if I hadn't met my fiancé organically. One thing she said was women without kids were requested the most by men clients and she had very few, so if you don't have kids, matchmakers will set you up with their top clients.
@@lilylife4426 Yep, matchmakers know their reputation is really important, word of mouth is how a lot of them get clients not just marketing on social media. You are correct about a lot of men requesting women without children but I don't want women with children to feel discouraged, matchmakers will still take them on. One of my friends had a child from a previous marriage and still got matched.

I had just gained 40 lbs from depression and addiction (so honestly wasn't in a good place to date anyway and shouldn't have been) but I made sure on my profile to have new and full body pics so I didn't "trick"(gawd I hate that phrase) anyone.
