@@Fanaz10 boardslides on ledges are usually seen as an ugly looking trick in skateboarding, I don't know the exact reason behind it. Probably cause they are easier than rail boardslides
ever since i’ve started skating i’ve only done street and i just wanted to be prepared for when i go to a skatepark so i could possibly learn a new grind and this vid taught me everything i needed so this bud was great man thanks so much
Awesome tutorial. This inspires me to getting back to work on my ledge game, which is fairly weak. The practice steps are good suggestions, I will try them all! :-P
Hi guys! An update on my progress (I commented on another video before) I finally learned how to Ollie while moving. It was more of a fear factor for me because it didn't take me long once I committed. Thanks to this channel for all the tutorials. Great stuff I'm motivated to learn more!
You're so good at these videos. I'm binge watching them even if they're not useful for my own skating 'cause they're so well done you make it an art. The Braille videos aren't as useful and half just to show how silly Kyro is. People don't want silliness for help videos, they want something clear and concise, and you do that. I think they just film Kyro improvising, but it's less like jazz or freestyle and more like watching a 3rd grader improvise a book report in front of a class.
Hi I'd like to thank you for posing such great tutorials. I've learned a bunch of stuff from your channel and I'm proud that I'm finally improving. Keep it up man!
Its so cool to see skate vids like this im just beginning and i dont really know anyone who can teach me so it's great to see vids that can help people learn
I'm actually binge watching VLSkate because I stab-bruised myself HARD in my back right on the corner of a ledge slipping out awkwardly from a back noselide. So rest assured beginners- even if you "know" how to fall and have your tricks down skating will still wreck you any time! The Gonz falling from a firecracker off a curb...
I had a lot of trouble learning 50 50s at first but if you think of it more just like jumping forward and practice just ollie ing yO the side by moving your legs forward it helps and I’m not sure if that made sense but that’s how I learned it
I love your channel! I'm in southern California as well! San Gabriel Valley area. I do have a request for a how to video. I would love to see a good "How to fall properly" video. I've seen many pros fall and roll in to their fall, saving themselves from major injury. I've seen beginners fall like ragdolls putting themselves at big risk for injury. We're all going to fall skating, knowing the proper technique for when it happens is important. Keep up the good work!
I know this video is old, but I just learned FS 50-50s on ledges. Came back here for ideas where to go next. Wanted to have this in the background and just listen to the audio. Ended up watching the whole thing from beginning to end :D
you can cheat a little bit with the backside noseslide because you can do it slappy. (way easier in my opinion) you roll up the obstacles with a little bit of an angle and your front foot all the way up to the nose of your board. then just lock in, slide and pop out. Feels amazing and its way easier, but its kinda cheap tho. But i prefer trying it out one time.
I can slide crooks for days but always had a hard time popping out, I can pop out fakie and crook shuv out but struggle with consistency on the straight pop out. Always does half a heel flip.
I learned boards, then 50’s, to 5-0, to crook, to nose slides, on to smiths... everyone’s different, look up plan b’s “fundamental’ tutorial vids, they’re old but still some of the best
Love it. Can you do one the same thing but no ollie? Cause i could probably do it without ollie but other begginers might want to learn this without ollie
this video helped me so good today i just landed my boardslide on a ledge for the first time, but all the other tricks like backside crook...like.... BRUH
I'm early(jk) I love you btw you helped me learn the pop shuvit which I'm still learning a little bit. I also made up my own tricks for beginners to land tricks a little easier. I have not made a video though.

VLSkate whats not advertiser friendly about this video

Grinding on stuff is 18+ man
I got an add. I know a lot of ppl have been having issues with this
Do a video of your 10 favorite ledge tricks

Bro any tips? I wanna do this trick.
@@albertcole8590 practice everyday until you get it
Landed my first today, first time trying it, but took me around 150 tries
@@albertcole8590 just ollie up and pop out

But how is this easyer than a back 50

Frihaks congrats
Congrats
Great man keep it up

David Ventura lmao i don't hate you 😂😂
Boi. It is you probably just don't skate so think it is hard 👏👎
Lerma _Bros lmao actually i do but you know back crooks ain't that easy for a beginner
Benjamin SB I’ve skated for two months now and I can fs 5050 but I died doing a boardslide on a rail lol

Very helpful, thanks. Just started popping decent ollies, but I am not comfortable grinding. I will try your practice steps.

11 months ago, you learned to Ollie. How are you now?
1 year progress? I want to start skateboarding btw
how are you doing? 2 years
3 years now, any progress?
I need to make myself a box like this and practice. These all look so fun. I think the BS crooked looks pro af.
Even a 50-50 feels pro af when you do it the first time
Thanks VLSkate. There are a lot of good tips here. I particularly like the idea of learning 5-0 grinds by doing a 50/50 into a 5-0.
Great vid, can a 47 year old learn these tricks. I'm learning to skate transition but honestly the fear is worse on this stuff I think.
Prodigal Sun, I think you can do it man. :)
Joshua Hamell last time I tried I fractured 2 ribs.. Lol
I'll try again.. 😆
I can do these tricks, so yeah. Just know how to fall and you're good to go.
Prodigal Sun dont let a past experience effect your present peace!
Yea I've seen a 60 year old sk8

If you haven’t already, can you make a vid or something how you made the ledge?.
this man loves this spot
I searched up how to grind. Trust me. You do not want to see what I did.

Haha yes mate nice tutorials, I’ve been skating for 14+ years and still haven’t learned my noseslides or crooks 🤷🏻♂️
I learned noseslide after 4months of skating 5+ hrs a day

Thanks now I can tail slide👍
love ur video man good energy fast pace geat dialogue
Thats the best video to learn i have ever seen
Where was this channel when i was in middle school struggling to learn shit
Really nice tutorial! Once my busted knee is healed I'll give them a try.
gonna hit the noselides and heel flips tomorrow locked in the boardslides on high ass benches with no wax was brutal
Best tutorials Ever! Thank you
I think the crooked and 5-0s are a little advanced trick IMHO. For starters, the 50-50s and noseslides are good.
I can get my ollie like an inch off the ground and yet I'm sitting here watching this video so I feel like I'm actually good at skating
Currently can do the BS Boardslide, can't wait to learn all these 5 ledge grind.
you can cheat a little bit with the backside noseslide because you can do it slappy. (way easier in my opinion)

Thats how i first learned them. Its a great way to get that feeling of locking in and sliding. Still do them on occasion on low curbs and stuff.
PApro ikr, it's a hella fun trick
I can slide crooks for days but always had a hard time popping out, I can pop out fakie and crook shuv out but struggle with consistency on the straight pop out. Always does half a heel flip.

Thanks. This is a really high quality tutorial.

Great vid as usual!
For the FS 5-0 it might be also good to know how to Ollie up a curb or box into a manual
Thanks bro
Nice tips 👏🏽👍🏼👍🏼
Would like to say quickly as someone who doesn't have many tricks at all I think fs nose slides are easier then bs.
Agreed
Man thanks for making this simple for me .
Hell yeah man I’m focusing on the backside noseslides rn
did my first ‘real’ 50-50 today at a sketchy skate soot
You re the best keep it up brother ❤❤
Liked for the Emericas!
Can you come to my house and teach me to become a PRO skater
No
With a name like that I don’t think he can go to India
James SAP racist
Archie Animations it was a joke dumb ass
Lol
Nose grinds are harder then crooked grinds true or false
I can nose grind much easier. Crooks for me tend to roll off the side.
Yeah I guess it r the type of skater you are
Backside crooks are easier for me than nose grinds but front side nose grinds are easier than crooks.
False crooks come naturally for me
It's all about the skater
Not doing an Ollie before the last grind was a big help
Bs boardslide is the worst freaking trick that you can do into ledge, but when you do it into rail, it looks amazing
What's wrong with doing it on a ledge?

this is some good skateboarding content, keep up the hard work ! =)
Just kickflipped while moving lets get it!!!
Board slides are the easiest to learn and in my opinion they are way easier on a rail but all the other ones are probably easier on a box
Very helpfull again👍👍
Love it. Can you do one the same thing but no ollie? Cause i could probably do it without ollie but other begginers might want to learn this without ollie
Its nice how your girlfriend comes along to watch
it is real nice and real sad when you don't have girlfriend
You make it look easy!
Wow you are soooooo helpfull
You just have to practice. Not one person in this world has the knowledge to make you land these instantly
Btw guys learning boardslides on parking block things are really fun
No it’s not, I did that and I ate shit so bad bro i still have a massive bruise. Fuck that.
Ahh, just what I was looking for.
Really helpful video 👍
Got some new sneakers too fuck up real soon
this video helped me so good today i just landed my boardslide on a ledge for the first time, but all the other tricks like backside crook...like.... BRUH

love this.
yeah bruuh.....that's nice video! Keep doing something like that, it's great :)
I can do crooks but I can't do nose slides. I always try to Ollie into them though, I'm gonna try ur method then get back with u.
Thanks for sharing your own in
Does anyone else notice that they are sick grinds but they are also awesome curb stalls
I learned how to noseslide the other day now im going to try to learn how to boardslide
idk if im doing 5-0’s wrong bc i always grind them in a manny type thing instead of scraping my tail like he did
wass gud? Naw what you’re doing is better
superb tutorial
Honorable mention; Frontside 50-50 to frontside tailslide. Just get into a 50-50 and just lift up your nose and swing your shoulders.
